Whale carcass found floating near Kudat jetty

KUDAT: The carcass of a whale measuring about 4.8 metres long and weighing an estimated 200 kilograms was found floating near the marine jetty here on Wednesday afternoon. The sighting drew a crowd of curious residents and local fishermen to the scene.
Advertisement Officers from the Kudat Fisheries Department, Wildlife Department, and Sabah Parks were dispatched following a report of the discovery. The whale carcass was later moved to the beach at Kampung Tampakan and temporarily buried near the shoreline.
