Ishqbaaz fame Kunal Jai Singh highlights lack of civic sense in schools; says ‘Swachhta begins with sanskaar'

Actor Kunal Jai Singh, known for his role in Ishqbaaz, recently took to social media to express his frustration about India's deep-rooted civic issues. Sharing a personal incident, he wrote, 'It starts with education. A child from a top-tier private school threw a chips packet out of a moving bus. Not the first time I've seen this — but today, it hit different.' Narrating the incident, Kunal explained how he was driving behind a school bus of a reputed English medium school when he saw a child throw a chips packet straight onto the road. 'Yeh koi chhoti baat nahi hai. Yeh hamare desh ki ek badi aur gehri problem hai — civic sense ki kami,' he shared. The actor pointed out the irony that while schools focus on modern education like coding and AI, they fail to teach basic civic responsibility. Kunal elaborated, 'School mein coding sikhayi ja rahi hai, AI projects ho rahe hain… par kachra kahan fekna chahiye — yeh koi nahi sikha raha.' Stressing that civic sense should not be left to government campaigns, he said, 'Civic sense koi government-run awareness campaign nahi hona chahiye — yeh har ghar aur har classroom ka hissa hona chahiye.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Why Mr. Chirag Jain never exits a trade in loss — even when he's wrong TradeWise Learn More Undo The actor believes that both schools and parents share the responsibility. 'Itni mehngi education, itna exposure… lekin basic civic sense? Zero.' He urged everyone to reflect: 'Sochne wali baat hai. Aap kya sikha rahe ho apne bachchon ko?' Calling for change, Kunal ended his message by saying, 'Swachhta begins with sanskaar. It's time the education system, schools & parents took ownership. This is not just a municipality issue — it's a national mindset issue.' His candid appeal has struck a chord with many online.
