Beauty Editors Put Kylie's New Glossy Lip Kit to the Test
In the beauty world, everything is cyclical. Every once cool product eventually comes back and is cool again. It's why we're seeing maximalist full-coverage foundations, juicy lip glosses, and face mask sheets all over Sephora and our FYPs. The latest revival of decade-old beauty culture? Kylie Jenner's Lip Kits. They are so with a glossy upgrade for 2025. Kylie's OG lip kits were nothing short of a cultural reset—real ones remember her overlined lips paired with her King Kylie blue hair (which she recently referenced in a TikTok showing her daughter, Stormi, her old looks). So, when Kylie announced her new Glossy Lip Kits on her IG a few days ago, the post amassed more than 1 million likes. Me and my fellow Cosmo beauty editor Beth Gillette were among the millions who were hype about the launch. Lucky for us, we got our hands on the new lip kits early to put the formulas to the test. So how did we like them? Keep scrolling for our full review of the Kylie Glossy Lip Kits. I used to pair Kylie's kits with my Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter and Jaclyn Hill Palette. It doesn't get more 2016 than that. But now, as a makeup minimalist, I love a soft and glassy makeup look. I haven't used many Kylie Cosmetics products since college (besides the newer hydrating skin tint), so when I received word that Kylie was launching her iconic lip kits with a gloss, I was ecstatic to adultify my favorite college lip combo. I used the nude pink shade, Comes Naturally, because it looked the most like my actual lip color (I love a good 'your lips but better' finish). My first impression: these lip pencils are crazy pigmented. I only had to trace my lips once to get a defined outline. Once I layered the gloss on top, I had a gorgeous, monochromatic lip moment which felt very Kylie-esque. The gloss itself is a bit darker than the liner, and it felt super lightweight and not at all sticky. It doesn't plump, but it packs serious color and hydration, making it ideal for everyday wear. Honestly, my shade was so bold it could probably pass for a liquid lipstick. I wore the combo to dinner and a concert, and while the glossy finish faded a bit, the color and liner stayed put all night. This duo is officially a regular in my rotation. Everyone say thank you, Kylie. I will never forget sitting on my laptop in the middle of class, buying my very-first Kylie Lip Kit in early 2016. It was my freshman year of college, and swiping on a Kylie Cosmetics matte liquid lipstick was like a status symbol at the frat party. At the time, I thought there was no better lip product or combo. It was opaque, stayed on forever, and made my lips look bigger. Obviously, my priorities in lip products have changed in the last nine years. Now, I like definition, comfort, and a soft finish, whether that's balmy or glossy. Kylie's new iteration of the Lip Kit gets that. The lip liner has a super sharp tip. I can draw really precise lines around my lips, which is great for overlining to create more plush lips. And then the gloss, which is naturally what I would pair with a lip liner anyway, makes my lips look so glassy. These updated Kylie Lip Kits are perfect for taking the guesswork out of a lip combo by giving you a monochrome duo. They strike that perfect balance between nostalgic and new beauty. Whether you were once a diehard Kylie Lip Kit stan or you're just in need of an upgraded liner and lip gloss, the new Glossy Lip Kits are hydrating, pigmented, and long-lasting. If you grew out of matte lips and left the OG products behind, consider this your sign to try the new Glossy Lip Kit. Kylie Jenner's Cleavage-Baring Pink Latex Dress Might Make You Gasp
Kylie Jenner's Cleavage-Baring Pink Latex Dress Might Make You Gasp originally appeared on Parade. We never thought we were that modest, then we saw Kylie Jenner's latest Instagram post! The reality starlet and makeup tycoon, 27, posted an Instagram Reel on Friday in conjunction with her Kylie Cosmetics brand, and the cleavage-baring dress she sported elicited quite a few gasps, it's safe to say. The bright pink latex dress, which had a halter neckline, was slit almost down to Jenner's belly, revealing her ample bosom. Jenner completed the look with a slicked-back ponytail and a few subtle earrings. Her makeup, of course, was from her personal line. What kind of cosmetics entrepreneur would she be if it weren't? "Glossy meets lip kits 👄 a NEW take on our iconic lip kit featuring a supple kiss glaze and a contrasting precision pout lip liner for glossy, defined lips. the glossy lip kit will be available in six shades on 6.24 ," Jennifer captioned the video, which was specifically set up so it could not be embedded elsewhere, read. Even though everyone has opinions on every inch of her life, love, and body, Jenner seems pretty adamant about ignoring the noise that comes with incessant attention. She told Dazed in May that she's so used to criticism from every direction that she's essentially phased it out at this point. "I honestly think I'm so used to it, and I just don't really care what people say," she explained. "Also, you know, other people's opinions of me have never affected my personal life, how my friends view me, how my kids view me, how my family views me, or the success of my business."Kylie Jenner's Cleavage-Baring Pink Latex Dress Might Make You Gasp first appeared on Parade on Jun 21, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 21, 2025, where it first appeared.
