Korean actress Lee Seo-yi's last post leaves fans mourning in silence after her sudden death at 43: 'No more pain'
In another tragic incident, South Korean actress Lee Seo-yi has passed away at the age of 43, as revealed by her manager through an Instagram post on Tuesday, July 1. See-yi was known for her role in the SBS drama Cheongdam-dong Scandal. The news of her death has left her fans heartbroken.
According to the statement released on the social media platform, Lee Seo-yi, born Song Soo-yeon, died on June 20, and the exact cause of her death is still unknown. Soompi translated the post message, which said, "Hello This is Song Seo Bin, A radiant, beautiful, lovely, and kind unnie became a star in the sky on June 20, 2025, so I leave this message here."
"I know many of you must be shocked and deeply saddened by the news of her passing, but I kindly ask that you pray so that she may go to a good and beautiful place. If you wish to know where she is resting, please contact @songsong_seo. I am posting this on behalf of her mother and father," the post added.
Into Lee Seo-yi's career and early life
Lee Seo-yi made her acting debut in 2013 with the MBC historical drama Hur Jun, The Original Story. The 43-year-old Korean actress appeared in her last tvN drama called The Divorce Insurance until May 2025.
According to reports, till then, she did not show any signs of slowing down before her sudden death. Moreover, apart from her acting career, Lee excelled academically, studying Czech and Slovak at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and later enrolling in graduate school at Pusan National University.
The news of her death came as a surprise to fans, as she had been active on social media until just recently.

Following the news, other actors and colleagues have posted heartfelt tributes for the late actress. Notably, on June 13, just a week before her death, actress Lee Seo shared a heartfelt message alongside a sign language music video of LA Park PD's 'Didn't Say a Word'.
The caption of the post read, "Sign language version MV of LA Park PD's #Didn'tSayAWord… It's very late, but RIP, Oppa…' She added softly, 'Missing you today as brightly as I look in this clip. A bit dazed… just checking in to say I'm alive.'
The post now feels haunting for fans, as it was uploaded just days before her death, while some even interpret it as an emotional farewell to the actress.
Reacting to the post, fans flooded the comment section with messages like 'May you find peace where you are,' 'No more pain,' and 'RIP, actress Lee Seo Yi.'
