KUCHING (June 12): The Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) extended assistance to two families affected by a recent fire in Kampung Bintawa Ulu, under its annual LCDA Prihatin initiative. The initiative, themed 'From the Community, To the Community', is part of LCDA's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and underscores the agency's continued commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles. 'The programme places a strong focus on social well-being and aims to deliver tangible, positive impact to local communities,' LCDA said in a statement yesterday. As part of the latest outreach effort, LCDA contributed cash donations to help ease the burden of two fire victims ― Delima Juni, 53, and Norliza Bahari, 51 ― whose homes were destroyed in the incident. The contribution was handed over by an LCDA representative on behalf of the agency's general manager during a visit to Kampung Bintawa Ulu yesterday. LCDA reaffirmed its dedication to supporting affected communities in times of hardship and pledged to continue providing targeted aid through its CSR efforts across Sarawak. Also present were local community leaders, including Penghulu Lahan Sabu, Kampung Bintawa Hilir Chief Tahir Kassim, Kampung Bintawa Tengah Chief Sidek Kassim, members of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), and LCDA officers. fire Kampung Bintawa Ulu LCDA lead Prihatin
