Clarkson's Farm fans in shock after Lisa Hogan reveals 'terrifying' plane crash
Clarkson's Farm star Lisa Hogan has spoken about surviving a horror plane crash (Pictures: PA) Clarkson's Farm star Lisa Hogan has revealed she survived a plane crash. The Irish model and actress, 51, became a household name a few years ago when appearing on her partner Jeremy Clarkson's programme Clarkson's Farm. The couple initially met at a party through mutual friends before getting together in 2017. Lisa has rarely spoken about her private life since first coming into the spotlight, but she was once a sculptor and shares three children with her ex-husband, Baron Steven Bentinck, a Madrid-based private art collector. However this week she shared details of a shocking accident she found herself caught up in nearly 30 years ago. In his weekend newspaper column, Jeremy began by explaining that how between them, the couple had 'walked away from three plane crashes over the years'. 'She was the only passenger in a Learjet that careered off the end of the runway at Northolt and onto the A40, where it was hit so hard by a van that it split in two. 'It's amazing no-one was killed, and if you google the images you'll see what I mean.' Sharing the article on Instagram, Lisa then shared an image of the crash and a brief description of what happened. 'Amazingly the pilots, van drivers and I survived. I took another flight the same day. And landed safely,' she wrote. Photos of Lisa's near-death experience in 1996 show the close call, with debris strewn across the road. He wrote about their near-death experiences recently (Picture: Lisa Hogan/ Instagram) Lisa was just 25 when she was involved in the crash near London (Picture: Lisa Hogan/ Instagram) Posting on Reddit, one fan wrote of the crash: 'That sounds terrifying, enough to put anyone off flying.' A then 25-year-old Lisa had been travelling from Palma in Spain to London for a film role in the John Cleese film Fierce Creatures, the sequel to A Fish Called Wanda. At the time she was taken to Hillingdon Hospital and treated for shock and cuts and bruises, including an injury to her leg. She left the hospital later in the afternoon and was 'basically OK', according to a film company spokeswoman. The Irish Times reported that both the pilot and copilot, who suffered severe cuts, were also taken to hospital, while the van driver escaped with cuts and bruises after being cut free from the wreckage. It was eventually found the pilots had struggled to understand the English air traffic control instructions (Picture: Tim Ockenden/ PA) Speaking to the publication David Early, the pilot of a hospital helicopter from nearby Beckenham Hospital, spoke about being one of the first on the scene. 'How on earth a plane that size didn't cause more damage I don't know. If it had landed six feet either way then the passenger in the plane would have been killed or even the pilots,' he said. 'It was a mess when I arrived and I think that everyone involved was extremely lucky.' Last year Lisa recalled details of the crash to the Irish Independent, saying that after the plane took off 'everything was fine for a while'. A decision to sit where she wanted – rather than moving seats as advised by the captain – also saved her life. 'I insisted on sitting where I was, which was just as well because that was the area where the van came through when we crashed and I would have been killed instantly,' she said. Lisa spoke last year about how where she chose to sit saved her life (Picture: David M. Benett/ Getty Images for Perrier-Jouet) After the crash she quickly booked another flight and returned to Majorca just a few hours later. She later told the Air Accidents Investigation Branch that the two Spanish pilots did not appear to know where RAF Northolt's airfield was and began fighting over the controls. 'We were going round and round for ages and then they started arguing. The co-pilot tried to do something, but the pilot smashed his hands off the controls and then we crashed,' she said. Lisa also said she felt their approach was too steep and that the plane was travelling too fast. Got a story? East Hampton's LDV at the Maidstone hotel debuts luxe brand partnerships
Last summer, the 150-year-old Maidstone Hotel, located on Main Street in East Hampton, reopened its doors under the leadership of LDV Hospitality, the group behind NYC's Scarpetta restaurant and famed for its Italian luxury. The hotel, since renamed LDV at the Maidstone, introduced a daily aperitivo hour in the garden and rebooted the elegant restaurant to serve scrumptious Italian pastas. This summer, the Maidstone is bringing even more European elegance to East Hampton courtesy of new partnerships with Sézane, the French fashion brand, and Ginori 1735, a luxury Italian dinnerware company. 3 LDV at the Maidstone hotel will host a Sézane fashion pop-up in its back garden this summer. Letizia Cigliutti 'We want to bring this La Dolce Vita lifestyle to the Hamptons,' John Meadow, the founder and president of LDV Hospitality, tells Alexa. Sézane is setting up a pop-up shop in the hotel's back garden, behind the hedges, from June 20 to July 27. Visitors will be able to order a spritz or glass of fine Italian wine at the bar and shop a unique summer capsule collection (including the famous Justine basket bag) along with limited-edition items. 3 The hotel's recently updated restaurant will serve food on Ginori 1735's elegant Oriente Italiano plates. GLEN ALLSOP 'We went with them because they're young, fresh, fun, playful, whimsical,' explains Meadow. Hotel guests will also be surprised by Sézane products in their rooms. In addition, the hotel will be decked out with objects crafted by Ginori 1735, which is known for its colorful porcelain table settings and home decor. 'It's like Bergdorf-caliber, fancy China,' notes Meadow. Chef Jorge Espinoza, who runs the restaurant, has already been serving his famous spaghetti alla nerano on Ginori 1735's Oriente Italiano plates. This summer all food — both indoor and outdoor — will be served on the brand's tableware. 3 A scrumptions meal from the Maidstone. GLEN ALLSOP The company is also creating printed pillows, umbrellas and throws for the garden and setting up a pop-up shop in the hotel lobby for guests coveting the latest Ginori 1735 collection. 'I watched all last summer as guests would sit there and look at the bottom of the plates to see who made them,' recalls Meadow. 'Why not be able to allow them to bring those home, right?'

Marlow East Brings Southern Charm Uptown
Opening The South comes from the kitchen of Braxton Decker, a Virginian whose new restaurant is owned by the restaurateurs Elena and Dragan Ristovski, of Marlow Bistro on the Upper West Side. They bring Virginia oysters, country ham and pimento cheese croquettes, buttermilk fried chicken (off-menu, but always available) and deviled eggs to a light-filled duplex space; the bar is on street level. The beverage director Kat Foster, who has worked with the chef, devises drinks that sing of the South with elements like honey-butter-washed whiskey.
