Early Prime Day TV deals — save big on OLEDs, QLEDs, and Mini-LEDs starting at $398

Prime Day week might not be upon us just yet, but there's loads of savings to scoop up on a variety of our favorite TVs. This includes deals on some OLEDs and 2025 sets with spectacular performance metrics. You don't typically see TV deals this cheap over the summer. However, major highlights include the 55-inch Hisense U8QG Mini-LED TV for $897 and the 65-inch LG C5 OLED TV for $1,696. Thus, you'll find deals across QLEDs, OLEDs, and the like. With my extensive knowledge of TVs and years of deals research, I've scoured Amazon for all the best early Prime Day TV deals, so you can get the upgrade you've been longing for. Who needs fireworks when you've got a brand new 77-inch Mini-LED display? Check out all the TV deals below. The Roku Select might not have an OLED screen or big features going for it, but it does come in well under $500 and plays host to a surprising range of picture performance capabilities. It's built on a 60Hz panel and comes in a range of different sizes to suit your needs. Roku is also home to a slew of free channels, and voice assistant support, from Amazon's Alexa to Roku Voice, are stellar additions for those who want to ditch the remote. The Hisense U7N is a mid-range Mini-LED TV that specializes in bright, colorful HDR performance and gaming features. Its Mini-LED backlighting is especially nice to have at this price point, along with its support for 4K gaming at 120Hz or 144Hz. The TCL QM6K is the perfect deal for a display upgrade. It offers a VRR feature that can push the TV refresh rate to 288Hz and leverages Dolby Vision IQ for sophisticated HDR support. It's a great TV for gamers and comes in a wide range of sizes at incredible prices. We gave it an excellent 4-star rating in our TCL QM6K Mini-LED TV review. Panasonic TVs are making a comeback in the U.S. Built around Panasonic's HCX Pro AI Processor MKII, its new OLED TV offers support for HDR10/HDR10+/Dolby Vision/HLG and Dolby Atmos audio. On the gaming front, you get a 120Hz panel with VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium, and NVIDIA G-Sync support. It comes in 55- and 65-inch size options. The S90D is one of Samsung's 2024 OLED TVs. The OLED TV features Samsung's new NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, HDR10+/HLG support, 120Hz refresh rate, four HDMI 2.1 ports, and built-in Alexa. It also offers 4K AI Upscaling to ensure all programs are crisp and sharp. On the audio front, you get Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound Lite for 3D surround sound. The LG C5 OLED is the TV I'd buy this week. It's the 2025 model, so it's brand-new, and delivers an incredible performance for the price. Offering a slew of features, like a range of HDR certifications and gaming specs for the PS5 Pro crowd, the C5 proves a major improvement over its predecessor. We called it "nearly flawless" and gave it a 5-star rating in our LG C5 OLED TV review. Launched in 2025, the Sony Bravia 8 II takes up after the Sony A95L OLED TV, one of the most beloved OLED TVs from three years passed. The Bravia 8 II takes up several upgrades, like increased contrasts and improved motion handling. It's also set to have some of the widest color coverage in OLEDs of the year, which is a stellar get for an already incredible display. 65" for $2,998

Early Prime Day OLED TV deals — I'm a deals experts and here's the best 5 sales now

As the Managing Editor of TVs here at Tom's Guide, I spend a lot of time looking at TVs. Part of that means looking at their sticker prices, too. Most of the time, OLED TVs are some of the most expensive TVs you can buy. But during sales events like Prime Day and Black Friday, you can find them for just as much (and sometimes a bit less) than their QLED counterparts. To help you upgrade to a higher-end screen, I've rounded up the five best OLED TV deals I've seen ahead of next week's big Amazon Prime Day event. I'm sure more deals will be coming next week, but the deals down below are just as good and, by buying them now, you'll ensure they're in stock before the rush next week. The B4 is LG's entry-level OLED TV from 2024 and the 48-inch version is a Best Buy-exclusive model. This TV supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and has improved picture quality thanks to LG's A8 processor. For gamers, it features four HDMI 2.1 ports, a 120Hz refresh rate, a brightness booster, and Game Optimizer Mode. In our LG B4 OLED review, we called the Editor's Choice TV for the value OLED TV of the year. You couldn't ask for a better discount on an OLED TV. For $900, you're getting an OLED TV with a 120Hz refresh rate, an ATSC 3.0 tuner for NextGenTV and 4K broadcasts, plus Tizen OS that's also home to a slew of game streaming apps. And if its onboard access to content isn't enough, a total of four HDMI 2.1 ports is also ideal for your range of connected check: sold out @ Best Buy If you need a 65-inch OLED, check out this model from Panasonic. It comes in 55- and 65-inch size options, but the $800 of savings on the 65-inch model are too good to pass up. The Z95A is Panasonic's premium OLED TV. In our Panasonic Z95 OLED TV review, we called the Editor's Choice TV an utter beast with some of the most advanced features of any TV available right now. It's built on LG Display's second-gen MLA panel, which ensures it vast and vibrant brightness potential. It also comes equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate and a slew of gaming features such as HDMI 2.1, VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium, and NVIDIA G-Sync support. It also supports all HDR formats and comes with hands-free Alexa compatibility.

There's no way! The LG C5 OLED just got slashed by $900 on Amazon

Prime Day deals are almost here, bringing steep discounts on some of our favorite TVs. But why even wait when some serious savings can already be had on brand new TVs? Right now you can get the 65-inch LG C5 4K OLED TV for $1,796 at Amazon. That's $900 slashed on one of LG's newest TVs, a discount bringing it down to its lowest price yet, but it won't last for long as it's labeled a limited time deal so you'll have to act fast. The LG C5 OLED has arrived. It's marked as one of our favorite value TVs and a brilliant OLED for those looking to save a little on the more advanced screen. With the C5, you get tons of gaming features, including a 144Hz refresh rate built on four total HDMI 2.1 ports. LG's webOS platform also has a slew of free channels to dive into as well as cloud gaming platforms. 42" for $1,19648" for $1,29655" for $1,496 77" for $2,99683" for $4,796 The LG C5 OLED TV is one of the best OLED TVs of the year and it's an instant hit for gamers. It's built on a 144Hz refresh rate with LG's Alpha a9 AI processor, which is at the heart of its incredible upscaling potential. I saw the C5 OLED earlier this year at an event held at LG's facilities in New Jersey. LG had two LG C5s side-by-side playing the same baseball content, but one was playing in 720p while the other was in 4K — and it was genuinely impossible to tell which one was which. That's a testament to its upscaling chops, and it only gets better the more you dive into its features. Through webOS, its TV interface, you have tons of free channels to dive into along with some of the best cloud gaming services. Its gaming prowess is made all the better when you take into account its 9.1ms of input latency in tandem with a slew of other features, like AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync. This makes it ideal for everything from the PS5 Pro to a powerful gaming PC, and it helps that the C5 comes in a range of varied sizes. This is a rare deal on a brand new display, so act fast if it's something you're looking to get your hands on. But if it's a bit too much out of your price range, you can always check out our ongoing early Prime Day deals page for even more savings on TVs and the like.

I'm a TV expert and this is the one picture mode you should avoid at all costs

I've been in the TV-reviewing business for a while, so I've seen my fair share of TVs. Over the years, I've developed a host of preferences about the look and feel of my TV-viewing experience. You've probably developed preferences and habits, too, just by watching TV throughout your life. You appreciate having the volume at a certain level and for the room's lighting to be just the way you like it. But if you haven't plunged the depths of your TV's settings menu, you might unknowingly be parked on a picture mode that doesn't make the most of your TV's capabilities. Vivid mode — sometimes labeled as Dynamic mode — is one such preset. Every TV — from the most affordable models to the best TVs you can buy — look their best when Vivid mode isn't in use. And yet, some TVs nevertheless arrive with the mode enabled by default. To understand why you might want to avoid it, let's start with the basics. You may like What is Vivid (or Dynamic) mode for TVs? (Image credit: Tom's Guide) In a nutshell, Vivid and Dynamic mode exist to make a TV's picture as attention-grabbing as possible. Typically, this means higher brightness, extremely saturated colors and over-sharpened details. Consider the environment of a TV on display in an average brick-and-mortar store: There are bright, fluorescent lights and shoppers milling around. Critically, there are rows of rival TVs to compete with, and they're all sharing space. If you were manufacturing TVs and you wanted your model to stand out in Best Buy, you'd probably engineer a picture mode that leaned into your TV's ability to render a high-contrast, highly saturated image — one that pops even underneath bright, fluorescent lighting. Vivid mode's existence isn't solely for commercial viewing, of course. Throughout the years, I've spoken with several TV engineers who explain that plenty of consumers use these modes at home and have come to expect it as a feature. If you're interested in graduating to a less-garish picture, here's what to do. If you consider yourself a Vivid-viewer for life, then by all means, keep on peeping those oversaturated colors. But if you're interested in graduating to a less-garish picture, here's what to do. What should I use instead of Vivid mode? (Image credit: Future) If I'm testing a TV for Tom's Guide or watching TV at home, I'm using Filmmaker mode. Most A/V enthusiasts, TV reviewers and industry professionals tend to do the same in their own living rooms, as this mode is designed to get your TV as close as possible to the reference standards used by the artists that make movies and TV shows. Filmmaker mode achieves this in part by putting the kibosh on settings that play it too fast and loose with picture processing. (Most Filmmaker modes disable motion smoothing settings, for instance.) Simply put, whether you own an entry-level LED TV or the five-star LG C5 OLED, it will do much a better job recreating the creator's intent in Filmmaker mode than it ever will in Vivid or Dynamic. If you're using Filmmaker or Cinema mode for the first time, your first response might be to be shocked at how yellow everything looks. You may not care about the accuracy of your TV, and ultimately, that's fine. It's your TV and you should watch it however you like. But if what's stopping you from dropping Vivid mode is that you find Filmmaker mode to be too dark or not saturated enough, I recommend playing around with the brightness and color settings of your TV's Movie mode. Movie mode (sometimes called Cinema or Theater) is likely the closest your TV gets to reference accuracy outside of FIlmmaker mode, and by default, it might have many of the settings you're accustomed to already enabled by default. Fair warning, though: If you're using Filmmaker or Cinema mode for the first time, your first response might be to be shocked at how yellow everything looks. This is because you've been staring at a blue-tinted picture without even realizing it. Give your eyes some time to adjust. If you don't like the look of any of these alternatives, using your TV's Standard picture mode is always an option, too. It's not nearly as accurate as something like Filmmaker, but it still offers a considerable amount of restraint compared to Vivid.
