Lafourche Parish corrections officer fired, arrested, Sheriff's Office reports
A Lafourche Parish Corrections Officer was fired and arrested for alleged sexual contact with a juvenile. Luke Vizier, 26, of Cut Off was arrested Thursday, July 3, and charged with sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile. Bail is set at $150,000. The alleged incident took place in April of 2023, according to a news release by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office. That was about one year prior to his employment at LPSO, the release said. Former Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office employee arrested for alleged child molestation
LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A former Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office employee was arrested for alleged child molestation on Tuesday, June 3. According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, 38-year-old Chad White of Houma was arrested by the TPSO for allegedly showing nude images of a woman to other people. He was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex and released the following day after posting $50,000 bail. LPSO officials said that they found that White allegedly molested a child under the age of 13 over a decade ago. White was arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux on one count of molestation of a juvenile. Two men arrested after separate deadly overdoses in Livingston Parish
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office arrested two men believed to be connected to separate overdose deaths. In the first case, LPSO deputies were called to a report of an unresponsive male on Heritage Drive on Jan. 31, 2024. Upon arrival, deputies found the male, who was later identified as William Beeson, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. During the investigation, drugs were found on the scene, and the crime lab determined that the drugs were a mixture of fentanyl and heroin. Detectives discovered a transaction between the victim and 38-year-old Randolph Howard. Deputies said Howard has a history of drug-related arrests in Livingston Parish. Randolph was charged with second-degree homicide and is currently booked in the Livingston Parish Detention Center on unrelated charges. Livingston Parish deputy arrested, accused of driving boat while intoxicated In the second case, deputies responded to a medical assist in Denham Springs on Aug. 30, 2024. When they arrived at the scene, the patient was identified as Randy Foster. Authorities said Foster was taken to a local hospital but later died. The toxicology report revealed that Foster's cause of death was a mixture of fentanyl and cocaine. As part of the investigation, detectives learned that the victim and suspect, 46-year-old Randall 'Rilo' Johnson, were in communication about the drugs. An arrest warrant was filed for Johnson on charges of second-degree murder. He was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center. Both cases are still ongoing. Deputies arrest man accused of firing shots in Livingston Parish
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Deputies arrested a man accused of firing shots in Livingston Parish. According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to an area on LA Hwy 42 near Hwy 16 about shots fired shortly before 2 a.m. April 6. Sheriff Jason Ard said deputies found a vehicle crashed in a ditch with no one on the scene. 'The two incidents were found to be related,' Ard said. 'LPSO detectives identified and arrested the driver of the vehicle, 29-year-old Jacob Ferguson, of French Settlement.' Ard confirmed that no injuries or property damage was reported. Ferguson was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on charges of illegal discharge of a firearm and hit and run. 'Thank you to citizens in the area who worked with us in this investigation,' said Ard. Livingston Parish alleged gang members arrested after Bogalusa shooting, drug bust
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A group of suspects deputies believe to be in a gang have been arrested after a shooting in Bogalusa. According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office, narcotics agents have been investigating a local gang known as the 'Motion Gang.' LPSO Sheriff Jason Ard said the group primarily engages in illegal narcotics distribution and street violence. The group is commonly found in Springfield, Ard said. On March 21, LPSO deputies were contacted by Bogalusa Police trying to find Ivan Fletcher, 19, who is believed to be connected to a shooting in their jurisdiction. BPD investigators said Fletcher and his girlfriend, Maya Price, 23, arrived in an area for Price to fight someone. Investigators said Fletcher fired rounds into a vehicle occupied by five people, including a 5-month-old baby. BPD issued arrest warrants for Fletcher and Price. Fletcher was wanted on five counts of attempted first-degree murder and Price was wanted on five counts of principal to attempted first-degree murder. On March 24, LPSO agents conducted surveillance of the known hangout in Springfield. Fletcher was seen at the hangout and deputies followed. Fletcher continued into Tangipahoa Parish, where he was stopped on I-12 at the Hammond exit and taken into custody by Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office. Search warrants of the hangout and Fletcher's car were conducted. The following items were seized: 180 grams of marijuana 30 fluid ounces of Promethazine 4 dosage units of Oxycodone 2 dosage units of pressed fentanyl pills 2 THC vape carts 6 guns, including one that was reported stolen $4,561 Additional arrests include Terry Finnely, 20, Dennis Mitchell, 19, Alyssa Theodore, 18, and two juveniles. Ard said more arrests are likely as the investigation continues. 'This is not the type of activity we want to see here. We're investing our time & attention into making sure gang members are not comfortable here,' said Ard. 'Gang-type activity will NOT be tolerated. We're watching.
