Amuné van Rooyen, a grade 4 learner, received the champion award on Book 11. The sharp young mind fought a good battle there. The win made her school and her parents proud. 'When I heard my child's name, I was in tears and screaming with joy. I couldn't be more proud. She worked really hard,' said Nataska van Rooyen, the mother of Amuné. The mother explained with excitement, highlighting her daughter's love for the maths subject. A grade 1 learner, La-Rochelle Niemand, also made a name for herself and the school. The courageous young mind showcased her skills and determination and brought gold on Book 7. 'We are very proud of La-Rochelle. She loves her maths and has been doing A+ since she was three years old. This is her second year getting gold. Maths is something she loves, and that is never a bad thing. For me, it is nice to see how proud she is of herself because I know how hard she works,' said La-Rochelle Niemand, the mother of La-Rochelle.
