Bengaluru-Hyd flight diverted to Gannavaram
Vijayawada: An IndiGo flight en route to Hyderabad from Bengaluru was diverted to Gannavaram airport in Vijayawada due to inclement weather conditions at Shamshabad airport late on Tuesday night.
There were 222 passengers in the aircraft. "The IndiGo flight landed at Gannavaram airport around 9:10 pm on Tuesday after it was diverted due to bad weather at Shamshabad airport in Hyderabad," Vijayawada airport director M Lakshmi Kantha Reddy said. Mentioning that there were no technical snags in the aircraft, Reddy said the flight will depart for Hyderabad as soon as possible after the weather clears at Shamshabad airport.
