Texas A&M junior P selected 111th overall by the Kansas City Royals in the 2025 MLB Draft

Justin Lamkin, the second-round pick, saw his draft stock rise after a strong junior campaign in what was a roller coaster of a season. In his final appearance as an Aggie, he delivered one of the best performances of his career, giving Texas A&M a glimmer of hope as the season slipped away. He tossed a scoreless, 15-strikeout complete game to lead a 6–0 victory over top-ranked Georgia. Lamkin was one of three Aggies ranked in MLB Pipeline's Top 250 prospects. After his final-game showing, the writing was on the wall, he was the most consistent starting pitcher, and his 5–7 record didn't reflect his true impact. In his most productive year in Maroon & White, he finished with a 3.42 ERA, 98 strikeouts, one complete game, and one shutout across 84.1 innings of work. On Sunday night, Lamkin heard his name called with the 111th overall pick by the Kansas City Royals. SuperStroke expands from greens to fairways with REVL grip lineup

SuperStroke has offered full-swing grips for years but remains best known for its taperless putter grips. With the release of the new REVL line of grips designed for woods, irons and wedges, the company is looking to change that. The REVL lineup marks SuperStroke's first major entry into the club grip market since acquiring Lamkin in 2024. According to the brand, REVL blends Lamkin's engineering with SuperStroke's performance-driven materials and designs. The result: a trio of high-performance grips designed to provide golfers with more control, comfort, and confidence across all playing conditions. Advertisement Each of the three grip models — REVL Element ($9.99 each), REVL Player ($7.99 each), and REVL Comfort ($8.99 each) — is built using SuperStroke's Genesis+ material, a tacky and durable rubber compound designed to maintain feel in both dry and wet conditions. All three grips also feature the brand's Ultra-Tac 'X' surface pattern, designed to increase contact and promote consistent hand placement throughout the swing. SuperStroke REVL Element (top), Player, and Comfort grips The Element model takes a hybrid approach, using a firmer top section infused with cord for added traction and all-weather security, while the lower hand section is softer and more responsive. The Player grip leans into a traditional rubber build for golfers who prefer a consistent, all-weather feel. The Comfort version uses a modern wrap-style taper to simulate extra tape under the lower hand, helping players apply more even grip pressure. Each grip is stamped with a 'Lamkin 100' badge, a nod to the century-long legacy behind the materials and design principles now under the SuperStroke umbrella. Advertisement Tour professionals — including Jordan Spieth, Patrick Cantlay and Sungjae Im — are expected to transition into the REVL grips this season. What is Texas A&M's path to the NCAA Tournament after losing to Georgia?

What is Texas A&M's path to the NCAA Tournament after losing to Georgia? Texas A&M (28-25, 11-19) didn't capitalize off of Justin Lamkin's brilliant day on the mound after throwing a career-high 15 strikeouts in a complete game shut down for just the second time in the last decade for the Aggies. While Lamkin's performance was certainly something to celebrate, the Aggies' Saturday series finale didn't go as planned. While starting pitcher Myles Patton was solid through three innings, including six strikeouts, Georgia's two-run home run led to coach Michael Earley pulling the veteran for reliable reliever Weston Moss, who also allowed a two-run home run, and two more runs before he was pulled for Caden McCoy before Clayton Freshcorn and Kaeden Wilson finished out the game. Trailing 7-4 in the ninth, all four Aggie runs came from three home runs, while Kaeden Kent's solo shot in the ninth was meaningless, as Texas A&M fell 7-5 to finish the regular season with just 11 wins in SEC play. No doubt, the Aggies' season took a significant hit after being swept by last-place Missouri at home, and with today's result, Texas A&M's path to the NCAA Tournament is much clearer. According to D1Baseball's Kendall Rogers, Texas A&M will likely need to win the SEC Tournament next week to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, even though we've been told that 13 or 14 wins in SEC play would be enough to get into the postseason. If Texas A&M had won on Saturday, two or three wins in the conference tournament would have been enough, but the Aggies' resume does not pass the smell test, and no team below 50 in the RPI has ever made the NCAA Tournament. Texas A&M is 55 in the RPI as of Saturday. Contact/Follow us @AggiesWire on X (formerly Twitter) and like our page on Facebook to follow ongoing coverage of Texas A&M news, notes and opinions.
