Llanfair Caereinion Carnival is back for 2025 - here's when
A Powys carnival is set to make a return later this month.
The Llanfair Caereinion Carnival is back on Saturday, June 21, with the theme Landmarks and Connections.
The event will see a parade of floats, prams, and fancy dress participants weaving through the town's streets.
Prizes for the best adult, best child, and most comical float, as well as the best young farmers entry, will be awarded.
Holiday parks will also be vying for the traditional prize for the best entry.
This year, the carnival will again feature traditional fairground attractions and a selection of inflatables, including a disco dome and an assault course.
A magic and illusion show will entertain the children, while adults can enjoy a bar and a variety of hot and cold food options.
Bronwen Burns, a 14-year-old student from Ysgol Bro Caereinion, will be crowned as this year's Carnival Queen.
Bronwen, who is active in her community, has always dreamt of becoming Carnival Queen after watching her sister Rhian take the title in 2017.
This year, she will be joined on the Queen's Float by her attendants: Thea Griffiths, Lincoln Davis, Mali Garlinge, Harley Jeeves-Evans, Lowri Roberts, Mabon Jones, Isabelle Parker, and Benjamin Kennedy.
The parade is set to start at 12.30pm, and everyone is invited to join in the festivities, whether by participating in the parade or supporting from the side lines.
