Charges dropped in Brookfield Fourth of July explosion case
BROOKFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) — Charges were dropped in the case of a Fourth of July explosion that shook homes, causing damage to several.
According to the Trumbull County Eastern District Court, all charges against Larz Soos, 19, of Masury, were dropped.
Soos will have to pay restitution to victims totaling $714.72 and court costs.
The explosion happened around 11 p.m. on the Fourth, causing damage to homes on Budd Street, according to a police report.
One caller told police that the explosion caused a picture frame to fall from the wall of her home and break. Other neighbors, as well as a business, reported damage to their windows.
