Jamie Lee Curtis appeared to be genuinely telling off the hosts of an awards ceremony in Los Angeles. Photo / Hollywood actor Jamie Lee Curtis is copping a backlash online for her strange outburst on the red carpet at a recent awards show – seemingly unaware that she was dressing down her hosts for the evening. Curtis was a guest at the recent Las Culturistas Culture Awards at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. The tongue-in-cheek pop culture-themed awards (some sample categories: the Woman of a Certain Age Award and Best Title for the Next Bridget Jones) are the brainchild of comedians and podcasters Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers. The pair were on the red carpet outside the Orpheum, answering some questions for media outlet Vulture, which had asked them to recite some iconic movie lines into the camera. Saturday Night Live star Yang was giving it his best Julia Roberts as Erin Brokovich, delivering the line 'I'm not talkin' to you, b****!', when suddenly Curtis appeared beside them, interrupting the vox pop and looking agitated. 'We're quoting Julia Roberts,' Rogers explained, perhaps worried Curtis had thought that particular quote was directed at her.

Jamie Lee Curtis Crashes Bowen Yang And Matt Rogers Interview
This past week, Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers hosted their annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards in Los Angeles. Spun off from their same-name podcast, the ceremony celebrates the "most iconic and consequential moments of the year" through over 100 categories. At one point in a red carpet interview with Vulture, Bowen and Matt were asked to share a pop culture quote that lives in their heads. "You know what just jumped to my head?" Matt said. "Legally Blonde. Elle Woods. 'What, like, it's hard?'" "Mine is gonna be Julia Roberts in Erin Brockovich," Bowen answered, before giving a spirited impression of Julia's "underrated" line, "'I'm not talking to you, bitch!" Overhearing Bowen, Jamie turned away from her own apparent interview and walked over to them, miming to lower their voices while seemingly shushing them. "Whoa," she said, as Matt excitedly told Jamie, "We're quoting Julia Roberts!" Continuing to lower her hand, Jamie said, "Listen, bring the whole fucking thing down." "You're gonna hate the show then," Bowed said, as Matt added, "We'll sit you in the back." Writing underneath the video, one fan wondered, "Jamie Lee Curtis what was that." Another wrote she "better [had] been doing a bit........." "the audacity to interrupt someone's interview at Their Own Award Show just to shush them is insane" an X user wrote. Another said, "🥴😩 this made me CRINGGGGGGGEEEEEE holy shit. Wow." "This is the same as getting shushed," someone else stated, before calling Jamie's behavior "fucking triggering." "I really don't like the way she's talking to them," an Instagram user agreed. One fan wondered, "Does she know whose show she's at? Like wtf." As someone else shared, "She truly repulses me." People also praised Matt and Bowen's responses to Jamie. Yikes! So far, Jamie hasn't responded to the criticism, but we've reached out to her reps for comment. Until then, tell me what you make of the clip below.

Jamie Lee Curtis has spoken. The 'Freakier Friday' star, 66, shared her thoughts about CBS canceling Stephen Colbert's 'The Late Show' during an appearance this past Thursday at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards. 'It's bad,' Curtis told Variety during the Los Angeles event. 'I'm excited that I will get to be on his show in about two weeks. I've never been on his show.' 8 The 'Freakier Friday' star, 66, shared her thoughts about CBS canceling Stephen Colbert's 'The Late Show' during an appearance this past Thursday at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards. 'I'm excited that I will get to be on his show in about two weeks. I've never been on his show.' Getty Images Although the network claimed that the move was 'purely a financial decision,' it brought major backlash and controversy. 'We consider Stephen Colbert irreplaceable and will retire 'The Late Show' franchise in May of 2026,' CBS said in a statement. 'We are proud that Stephen called CBS home. He and the broadcast will be remembered in the pantheon of greats that graced late-night television.' 'This is purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night,' the network added. 'It is not related in any way to the show's performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount.' 8 Colbert addressed the situation while taping Thursday night's show at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York. colbertlateshow/Instagram 8 'I'm not being replaced, this is all just going away,' Colbert, 61, said. However, not everyone was as graceful as Colbert regarding the surprising news. Fellow late-night host Jimmy Kimmel blasted CBS over its decision to cancel 'The Late Show,' and Jimmy Fallon said that he was 'shocked' by the move. 'I really thought I'd ride this out with him for years to come,' the 'Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' host added. By the time 'The Late Show' ends in May 2026, Colbert will have hosted 10 full seasons and more than 1,600 episodes.
