Oasis fan hits out before Edinburgh gigs after noticing 'something wrong with crowd'
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info While the Cardiff instalment of Oasis's global tour had many fans belting out anthems with gusto, not all shared the same enthusiasm, as one TikTok user's video revealed. The footage captured on Saturday evening, during the second night of the tour at the Principality Stadium, showed a crowd seemingly indifferent to the Gallagher brothers' stage presence, much to the dismay of the fan filming. Laura Bradshaw, identified as the disgruntled fan, swept her camera across the seated spectators and vented her frustration in the caption: "Why is everyone sat down - this is who you lost tickets to btw," accompanied by a tearful emoji. READ MORE - Exact date Edinburgh heatwave coming as residents set for temperatures of 27C READ MORE - Fans divided after Edinburgh Castle gig as Marti Pellow takes to stage The video sparked debate among viewers. Some echoed Laura's sentiments, with one commenting, "why is no one singing! I wasn't sat down. Stood up singing loud and proud as everyone should have been for the struggle it was to get tickets." Others lamented the missed opportunity for die-hard supporters, with remarks like, "Real fans of oasis missed out so people can come and sit down at a concert.", reports the Mirror. Complaints about the subdued atmosphere were also voiced, with a comment stating, "WHY IS IT SO QUIET." However, not everyone agreed with the criticism. One attendee retorted, "we were in seats on the left side and we all stood up for the entire gig!". Another offered a humorous explanation, "Because they're original fans and our backs are shot to pieces." A third individual weighed in, remarking: "I would be seating too - appreciating and taking it all in. Standing and jumping about isn't the only way to enjoy it." And a fourth contributed: "What are they meant to do, it's difficult to dance to Cast No Shadow." (Image:) (Image:) (Image: laurabradshxw/Tiktok) A fifth person pointed out: "Because standing up at a gig has no bearing on my of how much of a fan you are?". This follows an incident where an Oasis fan became an internet sensation after she was spotted using the music identification app Shazam to discover the title of "one of the greatest songs of all time." The Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, drew an audience of over 75,000 as they reunited on stage for the first time in 16 years, launching their global comeback tour. Richard Ashcroft from The Verve warmed up the crowd with his rendition of the iconic 1997 track Bitter Sweet Symphony. Yet, amidst the fans, one woman was unfamiliar with the tune. A TikTok video captured the moment the gig-goer used Shazam to identify the song, which Rolling Stone magazine has hailed as one of the greatest ever. The fan who recorded the scene captioned her video: "Imagine not knowing the greatest song of all time." Upon viewing the footage, numerous people flocked to social media to express their indignation. One commenter posted: "Seriously! I couldn't get a ticket because of these people." Another lamented: "This is the people who got our tickets." A third shared their frustration: "this is who i lost my tickets too. And there's real fans from the 90's that couldn't get tickets'". Another disgruntled fan chimed in: "nah there's no way i lost tickets to someone shazaming one of the most popular songs of the britpop era."

Oasis fan slams concertgoers over controversial habit at reunion gig
An Oasis fan took to social media to blast a number of concertgoers who were sat down to watch the band perform as she states 'this is who you lost your tickets to' While many sang along with their hands in the air to the iconic songs of Oasis during the Cardiff leg of the band's world tour, it seems not everyone was feeling the same spirit. And this was highlighted by a fan who raged on TikTok as she posted a video clip of a number of people sat down to watch the Gallagher brothers take to the stage for their reunion tour. The clip taken on Saturday night, which was the second night of the tour, showed a portion of the Principality Stadium in Cardiff sat down while "blankly" looking at the main stage, which left the fan raging with anger. The fan who has been named as Laura Bradshaw panned the crowd and captioned her clip saying: "Why is everyone sat down - this is who you lost tickets to btw." She accompanied the post with a crying emoji. But her clip appeared divisive. Some fans responded to her post in agreement while others did not. One person said: "why is no one singing! I wasn't sat down. Stood up singing loud and proud as everyone should have been for the struggle it was to get tickets." Another wrote: "Real fans of oasis missed out so people can come and sit down at a concert." A third penned: "WHY IS IT SO QUIET." Meanwhile a few disagreed with her post. One said: "we were in seats on the left side and we all stood up for the entire gig!" Another said: "Because they're original fans and our backs are shot to pieces." A third person chimed in saying: "I would be seating too - appreciating and taking it all in. Standing and jumping about isn't the only way to enjoy it." And a fourth added: "What are they meant to do, it's difficult to dance to Cast no shadow." A fifth continued: "Because standing up at a gig has no bearing on my of how much of a fan you are?" This comes after an Oasis went viral on social media after she was caught having to use the music app shazam to find out the name of "one of the greatest songs of all time." More than 75,000 looked on as Liam and Noel Gallagher appeared on stage for the first time in 16 years to kick start their reunion world tour. Richard Ashcroft of The Verve opened for the band and sang the classic 1997 hit song Bitter Sweet Symphony. But one woman in the crowd had never heard of it. In the clip that was shared on TikTok, the concertgoer opened up Shazam to find out the name of the song which Rolling Stone magazine name as one of the greatest of all time. The fan who caught the moment on her phone, captioned the clip saying: "Imagine not knowing the greatest song of all time." On seeing the clip, many rushed to the social media platform to vent their fury. One person said: "Seriously! I couldn't get a ticket because of these people." Another said: "This is the people who got our tickets." A third added: "this is who i lost my tickets too. And there's real fans from the 90's that couldn't get tickets' And a fourth said: "nah there's no way i lost tickets to someone shazaming one of the most popular songs of the britpop era."

Fresh start for community pub - with talent show, whisky club, carvery and jazz
A community pub has been given a new lease of life - with the introduction of Totton's Got Talent, a whisky club and Mellow Sundays. Laura and Rich Bradshaw have been at the helm of The Saxon Inn in Calmore for just six weeks and are already making waves. The couple, lifelong publicans who last had a pub in Essex, have already hosted several events for their chosen local charity, and introduced live music and a variety of special nights and offers. (Image: The Saxon Inn)READ MORE:Transformation of one of the New Forest's most well known pubs Laura told the Daily Echo: "We wanted a change of scenery and like this area, so we decided to come down and give it a go, see what happens. "We came in hoping to cause a ripple, but it's been more like a tidal wave! We know the pub has had its ups and downs over the years and we want to make this era a big up. We are already seeing people who haven't been in for ages coming back. "We want to be very community orientated, if anyone needs any help, come to the pub and we'll see what we can do, we might be able to help or put you in touch with someone. "I grew up where the pub was the centre of the village, the heart of the community, that's what we want to achieve. "There's something for everyone and everyone is welcome." (Image: The Saxon Inn) Totton's Got Talent, with a cash prize of £1,000, will run from July 11 to 13, one of a number of fundraising efforts following the pub's promise to raise £5,000 each year for local heart screenings by Cardiac Risk in the Young, in memory of Calmore lad Ryan Carter, who died suddenly in 2019, aged 25. There's also been a special evening with former professional boxer Joe Egan and a family fun day, with lots more events to come inspired by a meeting with Ryan's mum Sue, including a Bullseye style darts contest in August. Mellow Sundays - with a carvery and live jazz band - have been a revelation, there's a resident DJ on Friday nights and local covers bands performing every Saturday. There's pizza and a pint for £10 on Mondays, the pool team are in on Tuesdays, it's Wednesday for quiz night and steaks are served up on Thursdays. (Image: The Saxon Inn) Foodie favourites include Wagyu steak and lobster tail while Cruzcampo, drinks from the cocktail pump and a great selection of whiskies for connoisseurs are also proving popular. The pub offers a food and drink delivery service within an eight mile radius. The outside space is being revamped to include a garden of remembrance and there are plans for an internal refurbishment next year.
