Meanwhile, the soda drinks maker is expected to report revenue of $12.55 billion, indicating a 1.5% growth over the prior-year quarter. Analysts' Views Ahead of Coca-Cola's Q2 Earnings Heading into the Q2 results, Morgan Stanley analyst Dara Mohsenian reiterated a Buy rating on Coca-Cola stock with a price target of $81. The 5-star analyst called KO stock a Top Pick, citing near-term trading upside and long-term strength. Mohsenian sees short-term earnings upside for Coca-Cola, Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP), Philip Morris (PM), and Monster Beverage (MNST), as he believes that these companies offer sustained operating sales growth that is not yet priced into their valuations. He believes that Coca-Cola and other multinationals are well-positioned to benefit from their international pricing power, forex tailwinds from a weaker dollar, and greater balance of power compared to retailers amid rising tariffs. Mohsenian likes Coca-Cola for the expected upside in its EPS and resilience in a tough macro and consumer packaged goods (CPG) landscape. Likewise, Piper Sandler analyst Mike Lavery is also bullish on Coca-Cola stock and reiterated a Buy rating with a price target of $80. The 4-star analyst called KO a 'Top Quality Name,' with its full-year outlook on track. Lavery continues to believe in Coca-Cola's global revenue growth momentum, driven primarily by international markets. However, the analyst trimmed his Q2 North America organic sales growth estimate from 6.0% to 2.5% to better align with the 2.8% measured retail sales growth in the U.S. The analyst also trimmed his Q3 North America organic sales growth estimate by about 3 percentage points to better align with current momentum. Lavery expects Coca-Cola's Sprite + Tea innovation to be a meaningful contributor to growth. The analyst maintained his 2025 EPS estimate at $2.96 and raised the 2026 EPS estimate from $3.19 to $3.21. AI Analyst Is Bullish on Coca-Cola Stock TipRanks' AI stock analysis reflects an Outperform rating on Coca-Cola stock with a price target of $78, reflecting an 11.7% upside potential. The AI analyst rating is based on strong financial performance, solid margins, and strategic growth initiatives. Northumbria Police expresses 'embarrassment' after destroying Miners' Strike files, says MP

An MP says Northumbria Police 'expressed their professional embarrassment' when he met with the force after it emerged they had destroyed records relating to the Miners' Strike and the 'Battle of Orgreave'. Labour's Ian Lavery, MP for Blyth & Ashington, posted on social media on Monday (30 June) to say he had met with representatives of the force. The meeting follows the revelation last week that Northumbria Police had disposed of two boxes containing data relating to its involvement in the year-long strike of 1984 and violence that erupted outside a coking plant in South Yorkshire. Northumbria Police has confirmed it is investigating the circumstances surrounding its destruction. Writing on X, Mr Lavery said" "On Friday afternoon I met with senior representatives of Northumbria Police having written to them following the discovery that files relating to the policing of Orgreave and the Miners' Strike had been destroyed last year. "We spoke frankly about the mistrust that this will have caused many in mining communities up and down the country, including those here in South East Northumberland and about the need for the investigation into the matter to be transparent. "The Police acknowledged this and expressed their professional embarrassment that these documents had been destroyed and assured me that an investigation had already begun to understand the decision making behind the actions. "I look forward to further correspondence from them and in the meantime will continue to press the government for the inquiry into the policing of the full dispute that has been needed for so long." A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "We can confirm there is an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the disposal of the material."

Sledgehammer attack on takeaway being treated as 'racially motivated hate crime'

An investigation has been launched after reports of a burglary in Bushmills in the early hours of Wednesday morning, June 18. This incident resulted in criminal damage being caused to the premises of a takeaway restaurant. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed that they responded to reports of a number of people smashing the front door and windows of a fast food establishment with sledgehammers between 2am and 2.30am this morning. Additional damage was caused when the individuals gained entry to the premises. Detective Inspector Lavery said: "Shortly before 2.25am, it was reported that three masked individuals used sledgehammers to cause damage to the front door and front windows of a fast food restaurant, before entering the premises, and proceeding to cause more damage inside. "It is not believed that anything was taken during the incident, and there was no one inside the premises at the time. "We are treating this report as a racially motived hate crime, and officers remain at the scene this morning, conducting enquiries." ‘Don't do anything in a rush': Belfast's £10m winner offers advice to €250m EuroMillions ticket holder yet to come forward

A Belfast man who won the lottery nearly 30 years ago has urged the winner of Tuesday's massive EuroMillions jackpot to 'put it in the bank and get their head around it'. Former bus driver Peter Lavery scooped £10.2m in 1996. This week's EuroMillions draw saw someone in the Republic of Ireland, who bought their ticket in a shop in Co Wexford, win €250m (£213m). We use a number of different Social Media outlets to manage extra content that can set cookies on your device and collect data about your activity. The numbers were 13, 22, 23, 44, 49, while the lucky numbers were three and five. The record-breaking win surpasses the €175m record for the largest cheque ever presented to an Irish player in February 2019. Previously earning £200 a week driving his bus route, Mr Lavery quit his job two days after he won £10m. He went on a 10-person holiday to a five-star resort in St Lucia and also recalled taking 22 people to New York for St Patrick's Day. Mr Lavery also set up a charity in memory of his parents and gave around £2m to other charities. Speaking on BBC's Good Morning Ulster today, Mr Lavery, a director of Titanic Distillers, admitted that when compared to €250m, his £10.2m didn't sound like a lot. 'It does not, but let me tell you something, what I won was a massive amount of money,' he said. 'It was over 29 years ago, it's unbelievable. I just want to say good luck to the person who has won it. 'They are probably shocked. At the time, I was one of the biggest wins in Northern Ireland, £10m in 1996 is a lot of money. You just can't be an ordinary worker today and have a quarter of a billion in your back pocket. 'It's a big scoop. Whoever has it, fair play to them. I hope they really enjoy it – that is more important than anything else.' Chaotic scenes as Kneecap's Liam Og O hAnnaidh arrives at court He added: 'I think the right thing to do is to put it in the bank and get their head around it. Buy a few odds and ends. If they really want a new car, go buy it, go on holiday, do things like that. 'But don't do anything in a rush. They have all the time in their lives, and hopefully they are young enough to enjoy it. 'Everyone has that dream of winning the lottery. You never think it is going to be you. Everybody plays the lottery to change their lives. 'You don't do half the things you say you are going to do. I have seen the globe, I have done everything else. 'I was young at the time, I was 34, a good age to get it. I have had a good life of it. I just hope and pray that the person, or persons, who have won it will have the same luck as myself.' It has not yet been confirmed exactly where the winning ticket was sold, but the National Lottery has urged the winner 'to stay calm, get independent legal and financial advice and contact us as soon as they can'. Speaking on Wednesday morning, National Lottery spokesperson Emma Monaghan confirmed the winning ticket was purchased in a retail store somewhere in Ireland and said more information on the location where it was bought will be released in the coming days. 'So, shortly after the draw last night, a small number of people internally got word that it was an Irish winner, so it was all hands-on deck last night,' she told RTÉ's Morning Ireland. 'But we're delighted with it. We're delighted for the winner. I mean, it's just such great news for our players and they've now become the highest ever winner of an Irish National Lottery game. So, that is some title to hold.' She said the National Lottery's prize claims team opens from 9am this morning and as of yet, the lucky winner is yet to make contact. 'At the moment we're just urging everyone to check their tickets very carefully this morning. If they are holding the winning ticket, the most important thing they can do is to sign the back of it and keep it somewhere safe. And the next step then is to contact our prize team,' she said. 'I don't know who has won it, but somebody out there is holding the winning ticket. In terms of location, what I can tell you is that the winning ticket was bought in a retail store somewhere in Ireland.'

Introducing ‘Centennial Hall' – Lavery Brewing Company buys Basement Transmissions property

Basement Transmissions has been a hub for Erie's local music scene for years, and now the venue on West 11th Street is under new ownership. Jason and Nicole Lavery, owners of Lavery Brewing Company on West 12th Street, bought the property this week, which is just a two-minute walk away from their brewery. 'We love live music, we love the local music scene, and when the notice came up that Bob was looking to sell it, it was a very natural decision for us because it's two doors down from our brewery. So, it went for sale on a Monday, we looked at it on a Tuesday, and put an offer in on Wednesday, so it happened that fast,' said Jason Lavery, President of Lavery Brewing Company. Going forward, the venue will take on the name of 'Centennial Hall,' inspired by the centennial hops used to brew their flagship Dulachan IPA. Raise a glass to the start of Erie Craft Brew Week Lavery said they have plans to renovate parts of the Centennial Hall, including the floors, bathrooms, sound system and more. 'So the vision for the space is it will be a chameleon, so we might have a wedding in here, the next night we might have a punk rock show, we might have a comedian the next night, we might have open mic the following night, so the vision is to have this space be easily accessible to the whole community,' said Lavery. But he said they also want to keep previous owner Bob Jensen's vision alive, which is to keep Erie's local music scene alive and thriving. Lavery and Jensen go way back, having played in the same band, 'Pegasus Unicorn,' decades ago. Creative Crowd brings together local artists to create sense of community 'He's been doing the community such a service by having this place, having a place for musicians and artists to gather, and we hope to keep that vision alive. I think the sale going to us is like this poetic justice because me and him have been collaborating for 20 years and now it's just like one more final collaboration,' said Lavery. Bob Jensen couldn't meet for an interview today, but he said he 100% supports the Lavery's and is grateful to have been a part of this experience. Centennial Hall will remain open for the time being until renovations start in December. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
