22-Year-Old Arrested After Hosting Fake Wedding With 9-Year-Old Girl At Disneyland

Last Updated: The event took place in front of the famous Sleeping Beauty castle at Disneyland Paris and included musicians, a cake and many guests. A 22-year-old man from Britain was arrested after police found he was planning a fake wedding with a 9-year-old girl at Disneyland Paris. The park staff got worried and informed the police when they saw that the bride looked very young. When questioned, the man said the wedding was not real and was just for a social media video. The event took place in front of the famous Sleeping Beauty castle and included musicians, a cake and many guests. The park was rented for the event before it opened to visitors, but officials claim that they did not know that the party involved a child. According to local news channel BFM TV, the wedding ad was shared on several websites. Around 200 adults and 100 children, between the ages of five and 15, were invited to take part in the wedding rehearsal. The organisers told everyone that filming wasn't allowed. The event was planned to start at 4 AM and buses brought the participants to the park. Once everyone arrived and filming began, things looked normal at first. But around 6 AM, a staff member intervened after noticing something wasn't right and told everyone to leave. A witness recalled, 'I saw a child dressed in white, I saw curly hair and a woman lifting her in her arms. That's when I was shocked, I burst into tears because I realised when I saw the child, it was atrocious." Another witness told Le Parisien, 'At no point was there any talk of filming. We all thought we were going to attend a wedding… Everyone was stunned, no one expected it. Disneyland did things very well. They cancelled everything as soon as they realised the bride was a child. We were shocked to see that." Following the complaint, police reached the location and arrested four people. This included the man believed to be the groom. They also took in the girl's mother, a 41-year-old woman from Ukraine and two other people from Latvia, aged 55 and 24. After the initial investigation, including a medical checkup of the girl, who is also from Ukraine, officials found that she was not harmed or forced into anything. Two of the arrested people will remain in custody for further investigation related to fraud and money laundering. First Published: June 24, 2025, 14:21 IST

British paedophile charged over mock Disneyland wedding to child

A British man arrested at Disneyland Paris for allegedly trying to stage a mock wedding with a child bride has been named. Paedophile Jacky Jhaj, 39, appeared at a French court on Monday charged in connection with the disturbing ceremony at the theme park on Saturday. Jhaj is well-known to UK police and was placed on the sex offenders register in 2016 after being found guilty of sexual activity with two underage girls in Feltham, West London. Reports suggest that around £110,000 was paid to hire Disneyland Paris for the private wedding event before the park opened to members of the public. Le Parisien, which first broke the story, said park staff alerted authorities when they saw the child playing the role of the bride appearing in high heels, barely able to stand. The BBC reported that the event was to be filmed by Jhaj's team with around 100 French extras recruited to take part. Following Jhaj's arrest, the BBC reported that he appeared before a judge in Meaux, Paris, charged with fraud, breach of trust, money laundering, and identity theft. Prosecutors said the girl is a Ukrainian national who had arrived in France with her 41-year-old mother two days prior to the mock ceremony. Three other people were arrested on Saturday – including the girl's mother, a 24-year-old Latvian woman who played the sister of the bride, and the 55-year-old Latvian man hired to play the 'father of the bride', the tribunal in Meaux Jean-Baptiste Bladier said. Disneyland Paris was 'deceived' after the identity of a Latvian man and fake identification documents were used to secure the private event at the park, and that about a hundred hired extras were falsely presented to the company as wedding guests. Preliminary findings also stated the 'groom' had allegedly been 'made-up professionally so that his face appeared totally different from his own', according to the prosecutor. French prosecutors said on Tuesday they have been in touch with British authorities and identified the convicted sexual offender who is wanted in the UK. Since Jhaj was registered on the sex offenders list in 2016, he has been accused of holding staged productions involving young people, according to a BBC investigation. In 2023, the corporation alleged he hired hundreds of children to act as fans at a fake film premiere in London. In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: "A 39-year-old man is wanted by the Met Police for breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a breach of a Sex Offenders' Register notification requirement. "We are aware the man has been arrested in France for other matters and officers are in contact with the French authorities." The Independent has contacted the courthouse in Paris and Disneyland Paris.

Former French PM Dominique de Villepin launches own political party

Former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin has announced he is launching his own political party named Humanist France, two years before a presidential election is set to take place. "I decided to create a movement of ideas, of citizens, through the creation of a political party," de Villepin said in an interview with the daily newspaper Le Parisien on Tuesday. "This movement is for everyone. We need to unite all French people to defend social justice and the republican order," he added. De Villepin was the premier of France under the previous President Jacques Chirac between 2005 and 2007. He is perhaps best known for his impassioned 2003 speech at the UN Security Council, where he warned of the 'incalculable consequences' of France taking part in military action in Iraq. Will de Villepin run for president? More than a decade after stepping away from French politics, de Villepin has seen a recent spike in popularity after recent media appearances in which he condemned the ongoing Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. The 71-year-old politician accused Western governments of turning a blind eye to what he called a "spiral of violence" and mounting civilian casualties. Recent polling indicates that de Villepin's outspoken stance on the Middle East has made him France's most popular political figure — particularly among left-wing voters. When asked about potentially running in the 2027 election, he told the French press that it wasn't time to "enter the presidential debate," although he stopped short of ruling out a future campaign. He argued that too many political parties in France were giving in to 'populism, one-upmanship and stigmatisation.' 'The French people deserve a real choice,' he told Le Parisien, adding that voters should not be forced to choose 'between the radicalism of LFI (the hard-left France Unbowed) and that of RN (the far-right National Rally).' He announced that his new party would be free to join and open to people from all political backgrounds. It is unclear who will emerge as the winner in the 2027 French presidential election. Current President Emmanuel Macron is barred from running, having served two successive terms. Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right National Rally, was banned from running this year after being found guilty of embezzling European Parliament funds. Le Pen is currently waiting for an appeals trial set to take place next year.

Brit paedo Jacky Jhaj's ad for ‘Disneyland child wedding' revealed calling for 100 kids to ‘watch him marry girl, 9'

THE ad for the sickening Disneyland "child wedding" has been revealed - calling kids as young as five to watch Brit paedophile Jacky Jhaj allegedly "marry" a nine-year-old girl. Jhaj, 39, previously jailed in the UK for child sex offences, was arrested for putting on the sick stunt below the Sleeping Beauty castle as hundreds of horrified "guests" watched. 7 7 7 The disgraced director and actor, from Feltham, was jailed in 2016 for four years after being found guilty on four counts of sexual activity with two 15-year-olds. His latest arrest came on Saturday, with French police charging him with multiple offences on Tuesday in connection with the staged stunt. The sex offender was allegedly the "groom" in a twisted mock wedding ceremony - involving a nine-year-old girl as "bride". Disney staff immediately called cops after seeing a "scared and confused" child in a big dress with four-inch heels taped to her feet, reports French newspaper Le Parisien. Jhaj was described as the "mastermind" behind the abominable stunt. The Facebook ad for the vile production has been revealed, offering kids as young as five 200 euros to be an "extra" in the fake wedding. 100 kids aged five to 15 were required, according to the ad, with those involved in the production having to maintain "absolute confidentiality". Their role was to "stand up, sit, applaud and play their part in the prestigious gathering". A private bus service to transport"guests" from the Paris city centre to the "exceptional live shoot" was offered. And those who attended what was dubbed in the ad a "high-end wedding rehearsal" were required to wear a "very elegant evening outfit" like a "suit, evening dress or tuxedo". The sickening advert was posted by a woman named Christelle Ka, who is a self-proclaimed "actor and TV host". It is unclear what her connection to paedo Jhaj is. Le Casting Parisien and Christelle Ka have been approached for comment. Jhaj has reportedly been charged with fraud, breach of trust, money laundering and identity theft after the horror incident. Jhaj and the "bride" girl's 41-year-old mother, believed to be Ukrainian, were arrested, along with two others involved in the ceremony. Both Disneyland Paris and the "guests" claim they were deliberately misled - none knew a child would be involved in the mock wedding. The sex offender even conned Disney officials by "assuming the identity of a Latvian national and using false documents to secure the contract" of the park, according to a Meaux prosecuting spokesman. Prosecutors confirmed on Tuesday that Jhaj is known in the UK "for sexual offences against minors" and is on the run from British authorities, French prosecutors say. 7 7 Before his arrest, he drove around the streets of Hounslow, offering girls alcohol and claiming to be a Hollywood film producer. After his conviction, Detective Constable Nav Johal, the investigating officer from Hounslow CID, said: "Thanks to the courage and bravery of the young vulnerable victims who gave evidence, a dangerous sexual predator has been brought to justice. 'I am hopeful that the verdict and sentencing will give them some peace and closure, and they will be able to, in time, move forward from this difficult period." But the convicted paedophile has pulled a string of distasteful stunts since being released from jail. In September 2024, Jhaj staged an explosion using an old BBC truck and Union Jack-draped vehicles packed with explosives, filming himself naked as the blaze spiralled out of control behind him. A year before the explosion, footage surfaced of Jhaj mixing with around 200 children and 100 young women at a film shoot in London's Leicester Square. A Met spokesperson said: "A 39-year-old man is wanted by the Met Police for breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a breach of a Sex Offenders' Register notification requirement. "We are aware the man has been arrested in France for other matters and officers are in contact with the French authorities." 7

Jaskarn ‘Jacky' Jahj: Man charged over creepy Disneyland ‘wedding' to 9yo unmasked as known paedophile

The man allegedly behind a sick stunt in which he 'married' a nine-year-old girl at Disneyland Paris has been unmasked as a notorious British paedophile. Jaskarn 'Jacky' Jahj has been charged with multiple offences by French police after he allegedly posed as the groom in a creepy mock wedding with a 'scared and confused' child who wore a wedding dress and had four-inch heels taped to her feet. Concerned staff called police as the ceremony was filmed in front of Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty castle when they noted the extremely young age of the 'bride'. Jahj was jailed in the UK in 2016 for four years after being found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with two 15-year-olds and is currently wanted by police in the UK for breaching a sexual harm prevention order and a breach of a sex offender's register notification requirement. He has reportedly been charged with fraud, breach of trust, money laundering and identity theft over the Disneyland allegations. French prosecutors allege Jahj conned Disneyland officials by assuming the identity of a Latvian national, using fake documents to secure permission to carry out the 'wedding' for a private film project. Disneyland and the 100 or so 'guests' recruited for the fake ceremony claim they were deliberately misled about what was to take place and the involvement of a child. Jahj reportedly paid €130,000 (AUD$232,600) to secure private access to the park for the ceremony before the gates opened to the public on June 21 and put out a call for 200 adult and 100 child extras for the film project that, it was claimed, was not intended for broadcast, according to Le Parisien . The so-called guests, recruited through advertisements placed in specialist websites, were promised €200 (AUD$357) for their participation. Alexandre Verney, Assistant Prosecutor for the Seine-et-Marne region, confirmed that the young girl underwent a medical examination and had not 'suffered any violence or coercive acts'. Her mother and a man posing as her father, both Latvian nationals, who were also arrested over the incident, have since been released. According to local reports, the man was paid €12,000 (AU$21,550) to play the role of the bride's father but only learned the girl's age shortly before the event. Prosecutors confirmed on Tuesday that Jahj is known in the UK 'for sexual offences against minors', The Sun reports. For those offences UK prosecutors said he had posed as a top Hollywood producer and plied his two 15-year-old victims with alcohol before abusing them. Since his release from prison, Jahj has been linked to a series of bizarre film stunts, including one in 2024 in which he was filmed naked for a scene using an old BBC truck and Union Jack-draped vehicles for an 'explosion' near London's O2 Arena. He has also previously staged a fake funeral and recruited up to 200 children and young women to play his adoring fans at a fake movie premiere in 2023. A Met spokesperson told The Sun: 'A 39-year-old man is wanted by the Met Police for breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a breach of a Sex Offenders' Register notification requirement. 'We are aware the man has been arrested in France for other matters and officers are in contact with the French authorities.'
