Celebrate all things K-Pop at the Crypto.com Arena this weekend
For K-Pop stans, Christmas comes in August when KCON returns to Los Angeles and the Arena for a weekend of fans and artists uniting in their love of the music, the choreography and the art. The global phenomenon is officially here to stay in the U.S., thanks to its slick dances, addictive hooks and rabid fandoms all wrapped in dazzling technicolor. And KCON brings it all together under one roof for unmissable performances—all boasting precisely choreographed moves, of course. Since its creation in 2012, KCON has welcomed hundreds of thousands of fans to celebrate K-Pop and Korean culture, including food, fashion and more. The 2025 KCON looks to build on the huge success of last year's installment, running August 1–3 with performances by top K-Pop stars including NCT 127, aespa, Baby Don't Cry, AllDayProject, MONSTA X, Hwasa, P1Harmony, ZEROBASEONE, RIIZE, Lee Young-ji, Roy Kim, Jackson Wang, MEOVV and many more. In addition to the performance, fans will also have opportunities to enjoy panel discussions, K-beauty workshops, and authentic Korean cultural experiences. (Not to mention that L.A.'s very own Koreatown is just a quick drive away from the arena.) Sung Han Bin will serve as MC for all three days, with additional MCs Seok Matthew, Ricky, and Zhang Hao joining for one day each. Last year's KCON included a primetime live broadcast on the CW, the very first time a K-pop concert aired nationwide, as well as a diverse lineup of K-pop artists from the first to the fifth generation. The 2024 installment saw over 125,000 people attend in person, with 5.8 million viewers tuning in via digital platforms. The ultimate celebration of Korean pop culture, what started as a niche convention has exploded into a global phenomenon, drawing thousands of fans to immerse themselves in all things Hallyu. Part music festival, part cultural fair and all screaming fans, KCON has become a love letter to Korean culture. Whether you're a longtime stan or just curious, KCON offers an unforgettable weekend of connection, creativity and choreography.

Designed as a comprehensive celebration of Korean culture, MyK Festa will feature major K-pop concerts, a global content industry conference, interactive exhibitions, cultural experiences, and business programs aimed at supporting Korean companies with global ambitions. The event will also promote regional tourism, according to organizers. The festival will open with a star-studded K-pop concert at KSPO Dome on June 19, featuring WayV, Lee Young-ji, aespa, ILLIT and Hearts2Hearts. Additional performances on June 21 and 22 will include ITZY, Chungha, Heize, Lyn, Lee Mu-jin, and BE'O. The final concert will shine a spotlight on Korean traditional music, with contemporary reinterpretations by groups such as ADG7 and Uheeska. From June 19 to 22, the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium will house a large-scale exhibition space featuring interactive booths and showcases from about 100 domestic companies across sectors such as music, television, webtoons, cuisine and lifestyle. A global conference on the future of the content industry will be held on June 20, drawing key figures from across the international media landscape. 'Hallyu is evolving beyond popular entertainment to influence broader industries and global consumption patterns,' said Yune Yang-su, director of international cultural affairs and public relations at the culture ministry. 'With MyK Festa, we aim to deepen global fan engagement and unlock new industrial value for Korean culture worldwide.'

KCON returns to Los Angeles with expanded festival experience
CJ ENM announced Monday that the world's largest K-pop fan and artist festival, KCON, will be back in Los Angeles this summer with an upgraded experience. "KCON LA 2025" will take place at Arena and the LA Convention Center from August 1 to 3, combining large-scale concerts with convention programs celebrating K-pop culture and entertainment. This year's festival will feature performances by 11 artists in its initial lineup, including HxW (Seventeen's Hoshi and Woozi), Ive, Izna, Lee Young-ji, Nmixx, P1Harmony and Zerobaseone. This year's KCON promises a reimagined festival atmosphere with several new attractions. Highlights include the Festival Grounds, designed to feel like a lively club fair rather than traditional exhibition booths; the X Stage, a newly introduced performance space; and the Artist Stage, offering solo performances throughout the day. First launched in 2012 in Irvine, California, KCON has played a pioneering role in spreading Korean culture worldwide through its unique festival model, centering on music while embracing TV dramas, films and more. The event has since been held in 14 regions across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America. Meanwhile, CJ ENM is also preparing for "KCON Japan 2025" scheduled for May 9-11 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture.
