Yas Waterworld just announced when the new slides are coming (it's pretty soon)
Abu Dhabi's favourite waterpark is levelling up. Big time.
Yas Waterworld Yas Island is about to unveil its biggest expansion ever and it's opening to the public on Monday July 1.
The splash-tastic new zone adds over 20 new rides, slides and water-based thrills, turning the already legendary park into a full-on aquatic mega-playground with 60+ attractions.
So, what's new? Well, the expansion dives deeper into the park's 'Legend of the Lost Pearl' story with a brand-new 'Lost City' theme – think hidden treasures, ancient secrets and non-stop action.
Adrenaline seekers, make a beeline for Bahamut's Rage, a wild log flume ride that delivers all the drops and none of the chill. Or go head-to-head with your mates on Al Falaj Race – the region's first side-by-side duelling tube raft ride.
Little thrill-seekers haven't been left out either. Al Sahel Junior is the region's first mini zero-gravity boomerango (yes, really) and Dawwama Junior offers a pint-sized spin on one of the park's most iconic slides.
And it doesn't stop there. You'll also find Al Mafras, a kid-friendly desert slide with smooth turns and splash landings; Red Dunes, a twisting closed aqua tube ride; the swirling chaos of Sadaf Swirl; and the maze-like madness of Mataha.
Need a break between thrills? Head to the all-new Bandit's Village, home to Bandit's Playground – an interactive splash zone for families to cool off and run wild. There's also a brand-new dining spot to refuel before round two.
Miral, the creators behind Yas Waterworld, say this bold upgrade puts the park at the forefront of global water-based entertainment. And honestly? We're here for it.
July 1 onwards. Yas Waterworld Yas Island.
