Did Justin Bieber Pay Back Over USD 30 Million to Scooter Braun? Alleged Settlement Details Revealed

Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun have reportedly settled their financial dispute. According to an update from TMZ, the singer and former manager have concluded their fight over the canceled Justice Tour. Their other bit includes the amount owed for commissions from the Baby hitmaker over multiple occasions. The total payback comes up to USD 31.5 million, and it is believed that the 31-year-old has paid all of his dues. What has Justin Bieber given back to Scooter Braun? Amid rumors of his financial troubles, Justin Bieber has seemingly shut down one of his most talked-about disputes, one with his former manager, Scooter Braun. Reports claim that the singer has settled the massive bill of USD 26 million, which he owed for the advance payment received from Anschutz Entertainment Group. Previously, it was said that about USD 40 million was given to Justin Bieber as an advance payment for his Justice tour. However, the star cut short his shows in September 2022 and then fully canceled the tour in February 2023. AEG wanted their USD 26 million back. This is where Scooter Braun stepped in and helped repay the amount to the music group by loaning it from his then-company, HYBE. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber promised to give it back to BTS' agency over 10 years. He fulfilled one instalment of his claim and then never got back into it, seemingly struggling with the maintenance of his personal finances. Now, the Let Me Love You hitmaker has repaid that and half of what the American investor was owed over unpaid commissions across multiple years, out of a massive USD 11 million. It is said that Justin Bieber owed another USD 8.6 million to Scooter Braun but decided to waive it off despite their relationship going sour over a financial tussle.

Justin Bieber's Global Smashes Rises To A New Peak Amidst His Musical Hiatus

Justin Bieber's 'Let Me Love You' with DJ Snake hits a new peak at No. 138 on the Billboard Global ... More Excl. U.S., nearly a decade after its release. NEW YORK, NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 13: Justin Bieber attends The 2021 Met Gala Celebrating In America: A Lexicon Of Fashion at Metropolitan Museum of Art on September 13, 2021 in New York City. (Photo byfor The Met Museum/Vogue ) Much of Justin Bieber's musical output predates the introduction of Billboard's global charts, which arrived in 2020. By that point, he was already one of the world's most successful pop musicians, and he had scored dozens of hits all around the planet. Despite that minor handicap, the Canadian Grammy winner has still managed to land many tracks on the global rosters, and he regularly appears with at least a song or two, even though he hasn't promoted anything brand new in a long time – something his fans have taken notice of. One of Bieber's more popular collaborations is on the rise on one of Billboard's worldwide lists at the moment. Almost a decade after it was released, the tune reaches a new all-time peak. "Let Me Love You" Jumps to a New Chart Peak "Let Me Love You," Bieber's collaboration with electronic producer DJ Snake, jumps almost 10 spaces on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. ranking. That tally ranks the most consumed songs all around the planet, with streams and sales originating from American consumers removed. The smash slithers from No. 147 to No. 138, a position that now marks a new high point for the tune. One of Justin Bieber's Longest-Charting Tunes Of Bieber's 32 songs that have reached the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., "Let Me Love You" still ranks as one of his lowest-charting, as it's only climbed to No. 138. It sits toward the bottom of his collection of wins on the tally, in terms of peak position. That said, it's also one of his longer-running successes, as the catchy dance-pop tune is about to reach half a year on the list. 'Let Me Love You' Vs. 'Lean On' For DJ Snake, "Let Me Love You" is his longest-charting release. Its 25 weeks on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. easily outpace the 10 frames that "Lean On," his collaboration with Major Lazer and MØ, collected. But as is the case with Bieber, longevity doesn't always equal a lofty high point, as several of DJ Snake's other tunes have climbed to significantly higher peaks, though they haven't held on for quite as long. "Let Me Love You" and 'Despacito' Climb Together Bieber fills a pair of spots on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. this week, and both of his wins are climbing. As "Let Me Love You" advances to a new peak, "Despacito," his blockbuster team-up with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, pushes a few spaces north to No. 183. That tune has lived on the tally for much longer than "Let Me Love You" — 108 weeks versus 25 — and has climbed higher, as it previously stalled at No. 104.

Dhol meets pop: Video of wedding performer fusing Punjabi beats with English hits impresses netizens

At Indian weddings, the dhol is the heartbeat of celebration. Its thunderous beats are believed to usher in good fortune, marking an auspicious start to the couple's new journey together. Recently, a dholi (a person who plays the dhol) became the star of a wedding function, and is now creating quite a buzz online. In a video that's going viral, the dholi delivered a one-of-a-kind performance by fusing traditional Punjabi beats with the globally popular English tracks Closer by The Chainsmokers and Let Me Love You by Justin Bieber. The unexpected crossover brought the best of both worlds to the celebration, with guests seen dancing to the energetic, East-meets-West rhythm. The clip was shared on Instagram by the dholi himself, from his account @tejas_dholis, along with the caption, 'have to do something different.' True to his word, the performance struck a chord with the Internet. The video has already racked up 1.5 million views and 110K likes on the platform. A post shared by Tejas Bhatt (Official) (@tejas_dholis) Social media users couldn't stop praising his talent in the comments. One said, 'So wholesome.' Another wrote, 'This bhaiya deserves better,' highlighting that while the performance was electric, the crowd's energy fell a bit short. A third user commented, 'The blue kurta guy is dancing like he's in a club or some party.' And a fourth said, 'The only appropriate dhol wala for me (but the crowd didn't match the energy).' This isn't the first time dhol performances have gone viral. From doctors in Pakistan dancing to dhol beats to cheer up COVID-19 patients to students at a UK college grooving to the dhol rhythm, videos have proved how universal dhol music is.

Five minutes with rising star Mayten on being authentically African

Mayten, real name Meshack Siwela, is a Pretoria-based singer on a mission to leave his mark in the industry. His debut hit single Karolina positioned him as one of the freshest new talents to watch out for in Mzansi. He's worked with celebrated artists including Blxkie, S1mba, Kelvin Momo and Lady Zamar. With his new single Let Me Love You, Mayten hopes to make an impact beyond South Africa's borders. 'The song is an ode to love and anyone that is in love. With so much happening around the world, people forget to share their love with family, partners and even strangers. This is a reminder of all,' Mayten told TshisaLIVE. We spoke to the rising star about his music and future ventures: How would you describe the sound of the single Let Me Love You? The sound is unapologetically Afrobeats. It's what I love because it is chilled and just about spreading positive vibes. You could have chosen to make any genre — why Afrobeats? I started off doing hip-hop music and as time went by I fell in love with Afrobeats and found my style. Growing up I listened to a lot of reggae music but I just couldn't get myself to make reggae. I wanted something that was antithetically African and not limiting. Something that could put Africa on the map. How long have you been making music and what keeps you motivated? I started at church — I was in the choir and this is where I received my foundation. I once performed at a huge church service with more than 60,000 people at the FNB Stadium and that is where I saw myself as a global superstar. I went for it — I have been making music now professionally for three years. Who and what inspires you and who do you wish to work with in future? There are a lot of people who inspire me, but life and everyday situations are the inspiration in my music. People who have been influential in my brand, sound and style, and I also know I will soon work with them, are Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy. What are some of your career highlights? Man, I have done a lot. My album Karolina reached one million streams on Spotify — that was a proud moment. I can also say working with some of the top artists in the country has been an achievement. And with every artist or project, I try to challenge myself and bring something different and unique, and I enjoy the challenge because I always want to be better.
