Where Vogue Editors Are Traveling This Summer—And What They're Packing
The temperatures are sweltering; the air conditioning is blasting to arctic levels. That can only mean one thing: it's time to book a vacation and get out of here. This summer is taking team Vogue from the hilly streets of San Francisco to the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean. But before the only agenda for the day involves lazy lunches by the sea, there's the little matter of the packing list—and if your own plans could use some organizing, why not use our editors' vacation essentials as your guide? Vogue Editors' Top Vacation Essentials: From versatile travel shoes to beauty must-haves and endless swimsuits, the contents of our suitcases translate to a wide array of travel plans. (And if all you need is some holiday outfit inspiration, you'll find that here, too.) Here's where our editors are headed this summer, plus, all the staples they're bringing with them: Chloe Malle, editor, Every summer I go to the same place, my family's home in the Southwest of France. This makes it easy to pack for because I know exactly what to expect and what to bring. This year an addition will be my Meta Ray-Ban sunglasses which I have become obsessed with for taking photos of my kids. I'll also wear these perfect Gap Row-dupes as water shoes wading into Le Lot river. Gap jelly ballet flats $50 GAP Ray-Ban Skyler glasses Libby Page, executive director, shopping This summer, I am traveling to Portugal for a Surf & Yoga retreat so I'll need practical but chic (always!) pieces that can see me from day to night, surf to beach! I want swim that is protective and functional but not too technical, and relaxed bohemian pieces that still embrace my minimalistic aesthetic. Talia Abbas, associate shopping director It's not summer for me unless I spend some portion of it uninterrupted by the beach, but instead of the annual pilgrimage home to Calabria, my partner and I have decided to switch things up this August: I'll be trading in mozzarella for feta and the Tyrrhenian Sea for the Aegean. After many crowdsourced recommendations, we've settled on visiting the islands of Sifnos and Serifos. I'll likely be in a swimsuit the majority of the day, so dinnertime will be for getting dressed up—silky pants, flip-flops, and easy tanks are what I have in mind, plus a few great accessories to complete the look. Less is more! Faithfull the Brand Kassia + Bebe striped bikini $230 NET-A-PORTER Khaite x Oliver Peoples 1983C $555 KHAITE Liam Hess, senior lifestyle editor I'm planning a trip to Corsica in September with some friends, and the sum total of my plans are to swim in the sea, catch up on my reading, and eat lots of grilled fish. In my dream world, I'd be taking the Loewe puzzle fold tote in raffia to schlep to and from the beach. It wouldn't be a French seaside getaway without a jazzy Jacquemus shirt (I'm very into this poisson print) and I'll be packing Darrow Farr's Corsica-set thriller The Bombshell to lend to a friend—I read it earlier this year and it was part of the reason I was so desperate to visit this summer... Darrow Farr The Bombshell $30 BOOKSHOP Elly Leavitt, lifestyle editor, shopping I'm going back to Greece this August to see my parents in Athens before going to my best friend's house in Skiathos—the uniform for which is essentially just swimwear, so I'm bringing all my go-tos from Etam and some linen trousers for the ferry. Lately I've been trying to trick myself into writing more in my free time by amassing a slightly mad amount of beautiful notebooks in the hope that they inspire productivity; this green marbled one is at the top of my list. (My one piece of advice for anyone visiting Greece in the summer: bring a handheld fan for the heat or you will suffer!) Alexandra Ditch, associate producer I am so excited to be traveling along the French Riviera this summer with my mom and sister—the ultimate girls trip! We're planning to fly into Nice, and are hoping to stay at Hôtel du Couvent before jumping to a few other Airbnbs and hotels along the coast. We aren't taking off until mid-August, but mentally, I'm already packing. I can't wait to wear this Posse linen vest and capri leggings by Dôen. I'll top off the look with my Sézane basket bag and nautical Anni Lu earrings. Hannah Jackson, fashion writer My college friends and I are linking up in San Francisco this summer to celebrate graduations, new jobs, and other various milestones. While we definitely won't be walking the Golden Gate Bridge, I imagine we'll still be getting our steps in, so I'll be packing comfortable walking shoes (I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a pair of Adidas Taekwondos) and my favorite La Roche-Posay tinted sunscreen. I love my trips to SF, but I'm also not-so-secretly trying to lure my friends out East, so perhaps a BonBon gift box will help show them what they're missing. And, to keep me entertained on my six-hour flight home, I'll bring a paperback—I've been on an Eve Babitz kick recently, so maybe I'll finally dig into Black Swans. Kiana Murden, senior beauty writer, shopping I'm planning to stay local this summer. My friends are calling it a 'NYC Summer'—prioritizing exploring the Big Apple in its best season, since we're usually jetting off to Europe or the Caribbean. So until my proper vacation in September, I'll be planning day trips upstate and weekend jaunts out East, always sure to pack my essentials: a good flip-flop, my Uniqlo white T-shirt, a scalp serum to keep my hair healthy, and my travel pill organizer in the hopes that I'll actually take my daily supplements. Fred Sahai, associate producer This summer, I'm meeting my mom in Saint Paul de Vence, and stopping in Paris and Marseille beforehand. I know Paris gets really hot during this time so I'm really just packing light clothes. I'll be bringing a lot of Réalisation Par dresses, because they're so easy to throw on and always make me feel feminine and put-together. The Leila in the Aura print in particular is a summer staple of mine because the red polka-dot pattern requires minimal accessorizing and looks great with a tan. I'll also be walking a ton, so my Repetto Camilles will be coming with me—they're strangely comfortable for a heeled ballet shoe, and go with pretty much anything. For the beach, I've been eyeing a few basket bags and think I'm going to get this one to lug around all my essentials. And of course, I'll be bringing many Gimaguas bikinis, because they make my favorite swimwear.

The Summer Work Bags Vogue Editors Use Everyday
There are a few wardrobe staples that can make a break a workwear outfit, especially when being fashion-forward (yet functional) is the main objective. Chief among them are the right shoe, be it a walkable sandal or stylish sneaker, the perfect trousers, both for comfort and for commuting, and the right work bag. Vogue's Favorite Summer Work Bags: Styles that balances practicality with personality are key, and the totes you'll find perched by our desks blend polished design with real-world utility—fitting laptops, notebooks, beauty essentials, and even a pair of kitten heels for post-office events and meetings. They need to be spacious, but not too big for lugging onto the train, nor too heavy to carry up several flights of stairs. And, they need to be on-trend without being overtly so—who wants to damage a precious new piece? Some prefer a designer from a specific era, like Phoebe Philo's Celine—a legacy shaped over ten years, from 2008 to 2017. Others would take anything from Mary-Kate and Ashley's The Row, a coveted brand known for the longevity and timelessness of its accessories. Think of buttery leathers, clean lines, and subtle luxury—bags that whisper style rather than shout it. Whether it's a structured top-handle bag or a slouchy bucket style, these carryalls reflect the editor's curated life: always sophisticated and always prepared to work. Ahead, shop the summer work bags that Vogue editors use for the office, and beyond. Libby Page, Vogue executive shopping director I am a true Phoebe fan and am forever scouring for her oldie-but-goodie heritage bags. In the summer, I wear a lot of white cotton, and I love the way this burgundy style will pop against any full-white look. It's sturdy and very roomy for a crossbody bag, perfect for work. The two-tone tote I have had on my wish list since well...2010, when it launched, between this and the Bottega Andiamo, they're the perfect laptop-friendly-but-still-chic bags! Lastly, this little Loewe. I hate riffling through handbags for keys, wallet, phone, cash, so I'll throw them across my body to have them easily accessible. Celine Box medium classic box flap bag $2,295 FASHIONPHILE Celine Trapeze medium tri-color bag $795 FASHIONPHILE Bottega Veneta Ciao Ciao medium bag $4,995 FASHIONPHILE Loewe Pebble dice pocket bag $725 FASHIONPHILE Madeline Fass, associate fashion director For the days you don't need to carry a computer, The Row's Park tote in small is the perfect little bucket bag. With an open top and roomy interior, it fits all of your everyday necessities and can take you from day to night because while it's tote-shape, it doesn't come across as a 9-to-5 commuter bag. I love this green shade, we shot the larger size for a springaccessory story a few seasons back and have had my eye on it ever since. The Hermès Garden Party tote, however, will forever be on my wish list. It's timeless, classic, and does fit that laptop. Cortne Bonilla, senior shopping writer I've never been a small bag kind of gal—if anything, the bigger the better! My work bags have quickly transitioned into my everyday bags thanks to my desire to carry everything dear to me. Whether I have a brand dinner after work or a Pilates reformer class beforehand, I'd rather strengthen my shoulders than carry several bags at once. Vintage Bottega Veneta bags are my thing—I own several shoulder bags and totes already. There's plenty of room inside for a pair of emergency ballet flats, an army of lip glosses, sunglasses, my laptop, and a pair of leggings, if needed. The same can be said for Khaite's Frida tote—it's the perfect shape for a small computer.

Better Basics for a Steal? The Park Is the Essentials Brand You Need on Your Radar
Photo: Courtesy of The Park The Park was founded by creative director and public relations veteran Sarah Bonello with a single aim: to make getting dressed in the morning easy. It's a simple premise that's surprisingly challenging, and an all too familiar one at that. (An overflowing closet full of nothing? We've all been there.) Streamlining your wardrobe all starts with the foundations—ultra-comfortable essentials that can be effortlessly dressed up or down. And for the ultimate capsule, The Park's luxurious base layers should be your go-to. The brand's tightly-edited line features no more, no less than the building blocks of a tight, hardworking edit: an everyday bralette and layerable boy short; a figure-hugging mini and maxi and a handful of sleek bodysuits, tops, and leggings all made from the brand's signature biodegradable stretch-knit blend (a mix of super-soft MicroTencel and recycled elastane) and in black and nude neutrals. The next time you're looking for new basics—consider The Park. Executive shopping director Libby Page has styled its Toby Boy Short with a Khaite jacket for Vogue's Pre-Met party, while senior shopping editor Talia Abbas loves the Heather Tee for off-duty and traveling. Plus, as a Vogue Shopping Insider, you can save 15% off for a limited time on your first order.

Liffner's Handbags Define Everyday Luxury—Discover Vogue Editors' Go-To Styles for Less
Photo: Courtesy of Liffner When a canvas tote feels too casual for the office and dinner after, but a mini top-handle too impractical, there's one handbag brand Vogue editors turn to: Liffner. Founded by Paulina Liffner von Sydow, Liffner specializes in the kind of 9-to-whenever handbags that make a wardrobe that much harder. Its range of sensible suede totes and shoulder bags make for perfect everyday styles, while its smaller designs are equally covetable for moments when you don't have to transport laptop and lunch to and from work. The structured, fits-anything-and-then-some shapes of the Sprout and Penne totes (named so for its pasta-shaped closure) are year-round staples—both senior executive shopping director Libby Page and senior shopping writer Cortne Bonilla have been known to sport theirs at Vogue HQ—while the Micro Pillow Pouch (in suede or leopard) is a favorite for minimalist, evening-ready polish. New to the lineup but no less desirable: the Belted Buckle Bag (defined by its long, loop-like closure and available in multiple strap lengths) and the Flat Leather Basket Bag—a summer must-have perfect for adding personality to with a beaded bag charm. Liffner's contemporary luxuries are already well-priced, which makes owning one of our editors' favorites even more inviting as an Insider with 15% off.

For Timeless Elegance, Vogue Editors Love Liberowe's Feminine Tailoring
Photo: Courtesy of Liberowe If you were to ask Vogue executive shopping editor Libby Page's what her most worn item is, she'll quickly tell you it's Liberowe's tweed Raja jacket. 'You see a Raja jacket, and IYKYK, it's Liberowe. Discreet but noticeable, luxury but not overpriced, Talia Loubaton has perfected the art of the jacket (and since her launch in 2022 many other things),' Page says. 'If there is one thing you buy from this brand, let it be that, or in my case, don't by another–I currently have four in my rotation and have lost count of the many ways I have worn and styled them–with denim for a dinner with friends to a black kick-flare pant for the office. I put them on and immediately feel complete!' Senior shopping editor Talia Abbas feels similarly about her Liberowe jackets, which are all handmade in London from luxurious, responsibly-sourced fabrics, including deadstock. 'There is no jacket more special or cherished in my wardrobe right now,' she says. 'A perfect little black jacket, the Cora, is on my wish list right now.' Styling-wise, Abbas says she 'likes to balance out their femininity with something totally unexpected—as I believe Talia intended—like faded blue jeans and leather flip-flops.' Step inside Talia Loubaton's Liberowe, where each piece bridges past and present with her signature feminine meets masculine spin. Delicate dinner jackets find their match in mini hemlines and bare legs; ruffled cashmere cardigans soften wide-leg trousers, and floor-length tailored coats elevate the casual ease of jeans and a button-down. Vogue Shopping Insiders can enjoy any of these editor-loved pieces for 15% off, now through June 31.
