Katy Perry shares her 'mood' in first post after her split from Orlando Bloom

Washington DC [US], June 28 (ANI): Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have called off their relationship. American singer-songwriter has shared her first social media post since the news of her split from Orlando Bloom emerged, reported People. A source confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple, who got engaged in 2019, have decided to part ways. Sharing her "mood," the singer, 40, posted a carousel of photos on Instagram from her day at Rottnest Island in Australia on Friday, June 27. Her visit to the nature reserve came a day after a source confirmed to People that the longtime couple had called off their nearly 6-year engagement. Among the collection of photos shared was Perry posing alongside a quokka before later spotting a chocolate version of the animal in a shop. She also shared a video of herself being surrounded by birds on the beach and embracing "brain rot" with her team while on a boat. Perry appeared in good spirits in all of the photos and clips taken just hours before she was set to perform in Adelaide as part of the sold-out Australia leg of her Lifetimes tour. "mood: Quokka," the "Hot N Cold" musician captioned the post. According to National Geographic, the "teddy bear-sized marsupial" is only found in southwestern Australia and is considered the "happiest animal in the world." Perry's reference to feeling like a quokka comes after it was confirmed that she and Bloom, 48, are going their separate ways after nine years together, reported People. On Thursday, June 26, a source told People, "They're pretty much done," adding that they "don't really see them being able to turn things around here." The pair, who met at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2016, got engaged in 2019 and welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove on Aug. 26, 2020. Bloom is also a father to son Flynn Bloom, 14, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, reported People. While Perry has been in Australia for her tour, Bloom has been in Venice for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's lavish wedding festivities. The actor has been spotted hanging out with Tom Brady, attorney, Alex Spiro and Kris Jenner's boyfriend, Corey Gamble, along with Kris, 69, and her daughters Kim and Khloe Kardashian, reported People. Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom split after nearly a decade together: What went wrong?

9 years in, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have called it quits. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have reportedly split: But what went wrong?(Photos: X) The news was confirmed by PEOPLE, putting an end to the star couple's six-year-long engagement. The speculations had been going strong for months on end, though both Katy, 40, and Orlando, 48, kept up public appearances and social pleasantries. As a matter of fact, for her Rolling Stone interview earlier this year, the pop star, had positively affirmed the life that she and Orlando had built together with their daughter Daisy Dove: "I'm proud of my family life, my home the foundation I have", she said. Official news of their split comes amid Katy being busy on the Australia leg of her Lifetimes tour while Orlando has just touched-down in Venice to be party to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's larger-than-life wedding weekend. Neither have officially addressed this development. The two officially began dating in January 2016, though they chose to (briefly) split just over a year into the relationship. A year apart however, brought them slowly back into each other's fold with the pair reconciling by early 2018. Orlando popped the question to Katy Perry on Valentine's Day, 2019. A gleaming Katy Perry had even shared details of the wholesome proposal later that year, during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel: "It was very sweet. It was Valentine's went to dinner and I thought we were going to go see some art after dinner but we pulled up to a landed on a rooftop — my whole family was there, and all my friends. He did so well", she gushed. In March 2020, Katy spilled the news of her first pregnancy, calling it, ""probably the longest secret (she's) ever had to keep". Orlando and Katy's daughter Daisy Dove was born later that year, on August 27. There were reports of a wedding being planned the very same year, though of course movement restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 waves, sullied prospects. Since then, Katy had on several occasions, addressed the wedding-to-be, also indirectly referring to herself as Orlando's 'new wife', whilst posing with Orlando's ex-wife, Miranda Kerr. As per a PEOPLE report, she said on stage, "Some of you might be confused about why I'm introducing Miranda, that doesn't play into the antiquated narrative of ex-wives and new wives. And yes, it's true, most of the media would like to see us mud wrestle, including (her husband) Evan, but we are here to lead by love because Miranda is love". Reports of trouble in paradise however, started overtaking this dreamy narrative earlier this year, with the backlash from Katy's space trip and the pressures of her Lifetimes tour, compounding into their dynamic, as per an ET report. News of their split has now officially made it's way to the public in June. So is Orlando 'the one that got away'?

Orlando Bloom in cosy reunion with Kim Kardashian after ‘split' from Katy Perry

Orlando Bloom reunited with Kim Kardashian in Venice, amid ongoing rumours he has split from Katy Perry. The Lord of the Rings actor was seen smiling with the SKIMS mogul as the pair attended the much-publicised and much-protested nuptials of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. Meanwhile, his partner I Kissed A Girl singer, 40, is in the middle of her Lifetimes world tour and so will not be in attendance at the wedding. It comes after a source told People that Bloom and Perry's relationship has been deteriorating for some time and 'isn't looking good.' They added, 'They're pretty much done,' and suggested reconciliation may not be likely. Bloom wore a black tank top as he hugged a Balenciaga-clad Kardashian. Orlando, who is eight years older than Katy, revealed that he wasn't 'overly familiar with her artistic endeavours' when they first met. The Troy actor had previously been married to Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr, who he shares son Flynn, 12, with, while Katy was married to actor Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.
