Live updates: The 29+ best Prime Day deals that are actually worth your money from Apple, Dyson, Kindle and more
Amazon Prime Day, aka the biggest sale of the year so far, is officially here. Prime members have four days (yes, four) to shop exclusive discounts across categories, including tech, beauty, home and kitchen, plus take advantage of limited-time promotions like Lightning Deals. And while hundreds of deals are available to shop right now, they're not all worthwhile — in fact, most aren't. As shopping editors, we get an advanced preview of the deals, so I spent the past few weeks combing through discounts to find the ones I think are actually worth adding to your cart. I've covered Prime Day for the past six years and in that time, I've perfected the deal hunting process. I look for items that are: 20% off or more, highly rated from hundreds of reviews and at its lowest price in at least three months. Every single deal I recommend below meets those qualifications, and I'll update this list live throughout Prime Day as more drop. Best Prime Day deals 2025 Out of all the teeth whitening strips we've tested, these are our favorite because they're easy to use and highly effective. Strips are coated in a layer of hydrogen peroxide to remove stains, and they're flexible, so they mold to the shape of your mouth. There's 44 strips in the box, which is enough for 22 treatments — 20 are 45-minute standard treatments, and two are 60-minute express treatments. Track workouts, daily activity, sleep, health metrics like heart rate and more with this smartwatch. It's water-resistant, so you can swim with it, and it connects to your phone, letting you answer calls and texts. The watch's battery lasts for about 18 hours when it's fully charged, and 30 minutes in the included charger gives you about 80% battery, according to Apple. It's always a good idea to have extra batteries at home, especially to put in your emergency kit and power kids toys, remotes and flashlights. This pack comes with 32 AA alkaline batteries, which last up to 10 years if they're unused, according to the brand. This corded vacuum can clean dirt, pet hair and other messes on all floors in your home. It has a detachable pod and long nozzle, letting you clean hard-to-reach areas like above door frames, on stairs and under furniture. The vacuum is built with a HEPA filter to trap allergens like dust and pollen, and it comes with crevice and upholstery tools. LifeStraw's personal filter can remove over 99% of bacteria, parasites and microplastics from water, making it ideal to bring with you while camping or hiking, or pack in an emergency kit. The tool can filter up to 1,000 gallons of water before you need to replace it. It has a cap to protect the part you sip from, and a layard so you can put it around your neck. The Dyson Airwrap simultaneously dries and styles your hair, letting you create curly, wavy and straight styles without causing heat damage, according to Dyson. It comes with three interchangeable attachments: a smoothing dryer, round volumizing brush and long barrel. The Airwrap also has a cool shot button. Dermatologists we've talked to say Differin Gel is one of the best acne treatments. It's an over-the-counter retinoid made with 0.1% adapalene, and it works best if you apply it to your entire face once daily, according to the brand. The Little Green Machine helps you get stains out of upholstered furniture, carpets, area rugs, car seats and more. It has two 48-ounce tanks to separate cleaning solution from dirty liquid, and the head on the end of its long hose lets you spray cleaner on messes, scrub and suction them. You get a bottle of Bissell's Oxy Formula with your purchase, as well as a tough stain tool, self-cleaning hose tool and spraying crevice tool. This Kindle gives you 12 weeks of battery life on a single charge, according to the brand, and it's thin and lightweight, making it easy to travel with. It also has a 7-inch glare-free screen and an adjustable warm light so you can clearly see text in any environment. The e-reader is water-resistant, too — you can use it at the beach, by the pool or in the bath without worrying about splashes. 'I'm a devoted hardcover fan, but I still can't live without my Kindle,' says NBC Select editor Lindsay Schneider, who's used a number of Kindle models over the years, courtesy testing samples from Amazon. 'It really is impossible to live without once you try it. It makes it a whole lot easier to read on the go and outside. The battery is quite impressive too, I feel like I never have to charge it.' You'll wake up with smooth, moisturized lips when you leave this mask on overnight, says NBC Select updates editor Mili Godio. 'I use Laneige's lip mask on days when my lips are super dry and it makes my nighttime routine so much more luxurious,' she says. 'My lips feel so soft after I apply it, and I love using the little included spatula.' The lip mask is made with hydrating ingredients like vitamin C, murumuru seed and shea butters, antioxidants and coconut oil. See, hear and speak to visitors with Blink's Video Doorbell. It runs on AA batteries, has a two-year battery life and doesn't require wiring, according to the brand. The camera gives you a head-to-toe view when you livestream footage through the Blink app, which also sends you real-time notifications when it detects people at your door. You can massage Sol De Janiero's highly rated body cream onto your butt, legs, arms and stomach area to moisturize and tighten skin, according to the brand. The viral scented formula has notes of salted caramel, pistachio and vanilla, and once you run out, you can refill the container instead of throwing it out. Once you plug this Fire Stick into your TV's HDMI port, you can enjoy your favorite shows, movies and music via streaming services or cable. It comes with an Alexa Voice Remote, and you can bring the device with you on trips to use in hotels or rental homes. Stocking up on essentials during Prime Day is one of the best ways to save long-term — you'll eventually need more garbage bags, so you might as well buy them on sale. This box comes with 110 13-gallon trash bags, which have two layers for added leak protection and a Febreeze scent. This rechargeable electric toothbrush has all of the features dentists told us to look for while shopping: a pressure sensor, a two-minute timer and brush head change alert. You can also choose from three cleaning modes. The toothbrush comes with a travel case and two extra brush heads. Best Prime Day sales Here are the best Prime Day sales to know about. Keep in mind, not every item from a brand is discounted as described below. Up to 45% off Dyson vacuums, air purifiers and hair tools Up to 55% off Ring doorbells, cameras and alarms Up to 34% off Celsius Energy and Hydration products Up to 40% off Breville kitchen appliances Up to 20% off The Ordinary skin and hair care Up to 50% off iRobot vacuums and mops Up to 30% off Olaplex hair care Up to 44% off Premier Protein shakes and protein powders Up to 20% off Dawn dish soaps and sprays Up to 20% off Peloton exercise equipment Best sales at other retailers Target: Shop Target Circle Week through Jul. 12 Walmart: Shop Walmart+ Week through Jul. 13 Best Buy: Shop the Black Friday in July sale through Jul. 13 Nordstrom: Shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale through Aug. 3 How I found the best Prime Day deals All of my recommendations above are based on NBC Select's previous coverage and reporting. I also included products the NBC Select staff tested, including Wellness Award and Giftable Tech Award winners. I ran each deal through price trackers like CamelCamelCamel to ensure products are at their lowest price in at least three months. All the products I recommend are 20% off or more, and highly rated with at least a 4.0-star average rating from hundreds of reviews. Why trust NBC Select? I'm a reporter for NBC Select who has covered Amazon Prime Day since 2020. In addition to writing about the best deals, I also wrote about what's included in a Prime membership, the history of Prime Day and what to buy and skip this year. Prior to Amazon's flagship sale, I previewed a list of deals from the retailer and sorted through them to find worthwhile sales you should know about.

Amazon Prime Day 2025 deals live: Expert-approved offers worth shopping today
Amazon's Prime Day started at 00:01am this morning, with thousands of deals now live across tech, home appliances, travel products and more. For the first time, the Prime Day sale is running for four days instead of two, with new deals dropping every day until it all ends at midnight on Friday 11 July. Lightning deals ‒ limited-time discounts which tend to sell out quickly ‒ will also appear on selected products. You have to be a Prime member to access the deals, but Amazon is currently offering a 30-day free trial. After that, it costs £8.99 a month but you can cancel at any time before then. The Telegraph Recommended team, usually responsible for testing and reviewing products, is well-qualified to help you find the best genuine deals in the Amazon Prime Day sales. We've witnessed many sales events and know how to spot a good deal among the many advertised. Read our tips on how to find the best deals to see how we do it. We won't recommend a deal on anything one of our experts hasn't tested. We only want you to consider products that we know work. Every deal featured below is also thoroughly vetted to make sure it is genuine. On Prime Day, Amazon calculates its discounts against the full recommended retail price (RRP) of the product. But many products on Amazon are rarely sold at this. We use price history tracking tools to discover the average price over the last six months and only recommend a discount if it is at least 10 per cent less. Throughout the day, our experts across tech, home, garden, health, fitness, beauty, grooming and travel will post their top deals below, whether that's from the Amazon Prime Day sale or an even better offer from the high street that we think you should know about. Keep an eye out today for deals on Shark, Ninja, Shokz, Phillips, Google, Oral B and Amazon's own-brands like Kindle and Echo. We'll be here all day to make sure you don't miss a bargain – and that you're not fooled by a fake one.

I've paid for Amazon Prime for a decade and this is what I've learned
If you shop online at all, there's a good chance you've used Amazon. In 2022, Wunderman Thompson Commerce found that the e-tailer had 35 per cent of the UK's lockdown-fueled online shopping market, and while the pandemic has subsided, Amazon's popularity has not. For those who shop on Amazon regularly, there's Amazon Prime: a membership service that not only provides discounts and free postage, but other perks like games, music and video streaming. The service launched in the UK back in 2007 and I've used it for more than half that time, giving me a good idea of its pros and cons. Here's what Amazon Prime offers and why I think it's ultimately worth the annual cost. What is Amazon Prime? Amazon Prime is Amazon's membership service. It provides free postage within the UK, as well as offering various other perks that I'll go into in a minute. It's been in the UK since 2007, which is two years after it debuted in the United States. Amazon doesn't detail subscriber numbers but did reveal there were over 200 million by the end of 2021. Statista estimates that around 13 million Prime Video subscribers reside in the UK, many of whom will have the streaming service included via the full-price Prime subscription. How much is Amazon Prime? Amazon Prime currently costs £95 a year, or £8.99 if you choose to pay monthly. That price has increased twice in my time using it: in 2022, it was £79 a year and £49 before 2014. It's worth noting that two adults in the same household can share certain Prime benefits, and it also offers a significant discount for students and those aged between 18 and 22. They pay just £4.49 a month, or £47.49 a year. You can also trial the Prime service for 30 days free of charge. Just be aware that you will be charged if you don't cancel before the trial ends. If the only perk you want from the Prime membership is Prime Video, Amazon offers this on its own for £5.99 a month. What do you get for the money? The main benefit of Amazon Prime is shipping. Prime members get unlimited premium delivery, with next-day or sometimes even same-day options, available seven days a week. This is free if the order is over £20, or £1.99 if it's under, but shipping would cost £5.99 without Prime. On the shopping front, you also get early access to Amazon's Lightning Deals with the Prime membership, a year of Deliveroo Plus Silver, Prime exclusive discounts and grocery deliveries in certain postcodes, which are provided by Amazon Fresh, Morrisons, Co-Op or Iceland. For frequent shoppers, the Prime membership cost may have already paid for itself, but there are entertainment perks to consider, too. Prime Video, with thousands of popular movies and TV shows, usually costs £5.99 on its own but is included with Prime. So is Amazon Music, which offers over 100 million songs ad-free, Prime Reading which provides thousands of books and magazines, and Prime Gaming which offers free PC games each month. There's also Prime Gaming Luna that allows you to stream a selection of games from the cloud. Speaking of the cloud, also included is Amazon Photos, which lets you store unlimited full-resolution photos and 5GB of video. The above are the main advantages currently, but another one is coming soon for those who own an Echo speaker or display, such as the Echo Dot or Echo Show. Amazon has announced that its generative AI-based Alexa upgrade will be free to Prime users, but a paid extra for everyone else. However, this is currently only available in the US, with no word on when (or if) it will arrive in the UK. Are there any downsides? Other than the money Prime membership costs leaving your bank account every year, the main issue with Amazon Prime is that you're subconsciously limiting your shopping options. No, you don't sign away your right to shop elsewhere when you sign up to Amazon Prime but Amazon invariably becomes the default to the detriment of other retailers. It often has the best prices, but that isn't always the case, and the sunk-cost fallacy means you end up on Amazon anyway in a bid to get your money's worth. You may also find that Prime Video doesn't have the content you're looking for compared to other streaming services, like Netflix or Disney+. If you have a limited streaming budget, you want to make sure you get the best streaming service for you. Both Prime Reading and Prime Music are weaker than their paid-for 'Unlimited' counterparts. For the former, you're dealing with a substantially smaller library than with Kindle Unlimited. Meanwhile, the music offered on Prime Music is the same as Music Unlimited but the playback quality is weaker and it's delivered via shuffle play, so you don't have direct control over what you're listening to. That said, Prime subscribers do save £1 a month on Music Unlimited if they want to upgrade. Are there alternatives to Amazon Prime? Not directly, but you can get services that replicate individual parts of the Prime membership package. Amazon Music can be replicated by Apple Music or Spotify; Prime Video can be replaced by Netflix or Now TV; and Prime Gaming is rivalled by Xbox Game Pass or Humble Bundle Choice. The problem here is that getting each of those would see you spending £30 a month in comparison to Prime's £7.99 and you still wouldn't get the same breadth of content or free postage on Amazon goods. The Telegraph verdict: Is Amazon Prime worth it? Overall, it's hard to argue with the value of Amazon Prime but whether it's worth it is more of a personal decision. If you only occasionally shop with Amazon, are a Spotify aficionado, don't play games, and don't see much worth watching on Prime Video, then it's likely Amazon Prime is not for you. If you're somewhere in between, however, then there's no harm in taking out a free trial and seeing for yourself if you get enough out of Prime and its benefits to warrant the cost. Amazon Prime FAQs What does Amazon Prime include? The full list of things included with Amazon Prime is as follows: Unlimited One-Day Delivery Same-Day Delivery Unlimited Priority Delivery to the Republic of Ireland Amazon Day Delivery Early Access to Deals Prime Exclusive Discounts Buy More & Save Grocery delivery Deliveroo Plus Silver (one year) Prime Video Special offers on Prime Video Rent or Buy 2-for-1 tickets to Odeon cinemas (Monday to Thursday) Amazon Music £1 discount on Amazon Music Unlimited Prime Reading Amazon First Reads 2 Audible credits on free trial instead of 1 Prime Gaming Prime Gaming Luna Amazon Photos Is it easy to cancel? Cancelling Amazon Prime is relatively easy. You'll need to go to your Prime Membership page, select 'Manage', then 'Update, Cancel and More' and follow the steps. Is Amazon Music free with Prime? Amazon Music is indeed free with Prime, but it's a different product to Amazon Music Unlimited. The library is the same and both are ad-free but the quality is capped at 320kbps, it has more limited Alexa voice commands and music can only be listened to on 'shuffle' mode, which means it's not great for selecting specific tracks. Prime subscribers can upgrade to Music Unlimited for less, however, with a £1 per month discount. That means it costs £10.99, rather than the usual £11.99. When is Amazon Prime Day? The exact date of Amazon Prime Day varies each year, but it's usually in the middle of July. In 2024, Amazon also offered an additional Prime Day in October, and there are other sales events for Prime members throughout the year. Why does Amazon Prime have ads? Last year, Amazon added adverts to Prime Video. The company says this is so it can 'continue investing in compelling content and keep increasing that investment over a long period of time and so maintain the quality and quantity of content in Prime Video.' You can opt out of Prime adverts, but it will cost you an extra £2.99 a month. The option is in your account settings on Prime Video. Do you need a TV licence to watch Amazon Prime? It depends on what you're watching. According to the TV Licencing FAQ, you need a TV license to watch live broadcasts, but you don't if you're only consuming on-demand content. How to cancel subscriptions on Amazon Prime Video? These can be cancelled via the ' Manage Your Subscriptions ' section of your Amazon account. Find the add-on you want to cancel, select 'Unsubscribe' and confirm.
