8 Mizoram govt health facilities among best hosps in India

Aizawl: Eight govt health facilities from Mizoram have been ranked among the best-performing public hospitals in the country under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS).
According to Lily Chhakchhuak, state mission director of the National Health Mission under the health & family welfare department, the newly accredited facilities include Kawnpui Primary Health Centre (PHC) (91.42%), Pangzawl PHC (96.26%), Chhingchhip PHC (93.80%), Hrangchalkawn UPHC (93.35%), Lungsen PHC (88.22%), Cherhlun PHC (89.66%), Sangau PHC (89.03%), and Chhuarlung PHC (95.30%).
With the latest recognition, Mizoram now has 19 PHCs and 3 Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) holding the NQAS national certification. Additionally, 12 more govt health facilities that have already earned state-level certification are currently undergoing the process for national-level assessment.
Health minister Lalrinpuii lauded the achievement as a milestone for Mizoram, reflecting the dedication and hard work of doctors and healthcare staff.
