Lily James joins pal Billie Piper while Holly Willoughby lets her hair down as they lead the celebrities at day one of Glastonbury Festival

Lily James joined her pal Billie Piper as Holly Willoughby let her hair down as they lead the celebrities at day one of Glastonbury Festival. The Cinderella star, 36, strolled through Worthy Farm kitted out in Barbour as the festival kicked off on Friday. She looked as chic as ever in a light grey quilted Barbour jacket, paired with a sports bra and white drawstring shorts, as well as black Barbour welly boots. Lily was joined by her friend, Doctor Who star Billie, 42, who sported the same welly boots as well as a dark green Barbour wax jacket with a corduroy collar and black hot pants. Also seen out and about was TV presenter Holly, 44, who has been a longtime regular at the hotly anticipated music festival and jetted in from London Heliport. After disembarking the helicopter, Holly wasted no time kickstarting the three-day spectacular in Somerset, as she strolled around the grounds with a friend. She looked effortlessly stylish for the outing as she sported a white mini dress and lace overlay from Free People, which costs £158. The mother-of-three paired her boho chic dress with the matching cardigan with frilled sleeves and kept comfortable in a pair of brown lace-up Grenson boots. Holly toted her essentials in a suede-look fringed handbag and pushed a large suitcase alongside her as she got ready for the festival fun. The former This Morning host completed her ensemble with a pair of black shades and a wide-brimmed brown hat. She appeared to be in jovial spirits as she flashed a huge smile as she joined hundreds of thousands of people in heading to Glastonbury. Glastonbury 2025 is set to be another star-studded affair with Rod Stewart, Olivia Rodrigo, Neil Young, The 1975, Nile Rodgers and Noah Kahan all set to perform. Lewis Capaldi took to the stage at Glastonbury for a secret set after releasing his brand new single, Survive. The powerful track is the Scottish singer's first offering following a two-year career hiatus due to his battle with Tourettes. She looked as chic as ever in a light grey quilted Barbour jacket, paired with a sports bra and white drawstring shorts, as well as black Barbour welly boots Lily was joined by her friend, Doctor Who star Billie, 42, who sported the same welly boots as well as a dark green Barbour wax jacket with a corduroy collar and black hot pants James Norton looked stylish wearing Ché Studios and Russell and Bromley boots as he soaked up the sights of the festival Lewis's new song coincided with his big stage return at Glastonbury, two years after he broke down on-stage at the festival. Following his emotional set at Worthy Farm in June 2023, the singer, 28, took time off to focus on his mental health and to 'adjust to the impact' of his Tourette's diagnosis. Yet earlier this month, The Mail on Sunday revealed that Lewis was set to return to the spotlight with a performance at this year's festival, in the 'secret slot' on Friday at the Pyramid Stage after Alanis Morissette. And now it has been claimed that the Scottish star will release his first single since he dropped Strangers and A Cure For Minds Unwell in January last year, to coincide with his Glastonbury set. During his last performance at Glastonbury two years ago, Lewis was coming out of a three-week mental health hiatus he had taken to ' rest and recover '. Returning to the stage, the singer admitted he had been 's**t scared' to perform as he opened up about his mental health struggles and battle with Tourette's. The neurological condition is characterised by a combination of involuntary noises and movements called tics, and can cause speech and voice abnormalities. In the middle of his set, Lewis confessed that he was struggling with his Tourette's and said his voice had 'packed it in', after coughing throughout the show. However, his supportive fans rallied around him, with the show coming to an heartwarming close as the supportive crowd sang out his hit Someone You Love at the top of their voices. She looked in good spirits as she wheeled her hefty suitcase along with her She teamed her boho chic look with a matching cardigan with frilled sleeves and kept comfortable in a pair of brown lace-up boots Holly toted her essentials in a suede-look fringed handbag as she got ready for the festival fun She appeared to be in jovial spirits as she flashed a huge smile as she joined hundreds of thousands of people heading to Glastonbury Lewis emotionally left the stage, saying: 'Glastonbury, I'm really sorry. I'm a bit annoyed with myself.' Afterwards, he announced he would be 'taking a break for the foreseeable future' as it was 'obvious' he needs to spend 'much more time getting my mental and physical health in order'. The hitmaker, who had been due to embark upon a world tour, explained he needed time to 'adjust to the impact' of living with Tourette's, admitting it was 'the most difficult [decision] of my life'. Lewis had charted his struggles with the condition in a documentary How I'm Feeling Now, which aired in April 2023, two months before his breakdown at Glastonbury. Earlier this year, Holly gave an insight into her past years at Glastonbury as she revealed she spent one night scrubbing a toilet at the festival. She shared the story of a toilet clean-up fiasco on The Graham Norton Show in February, where she was joined by music icon Sir Elton John. She explained how, after watching Elton's headline performance at Glastonbury 2024, she found herself in the festival's infamous, long toilet queues. When she finally entered a cubicle, she was met with a grim sight. Holly said: 'I was there and was having the time of my life. You [Elton] were incredible. Everyone knew you were going to be amazing but honestly it was magic. 'Everyone was singing and it was like the crowd was moving as one, I'd never seen anything like it.' She added: 'Elton was the highlight, but then everyone moved towards the loos. After his set, the loos were chaos. It was disgusting, but when you've got to go you've got to go. 'I was standing on the loo – you would not want to sit down – and I thought, "Oh my god, when I come out of here, whoever comes in next will think that was me so I can't leave that." 'I've always got a bag of wet wipes on me, so I cleaned that loo until it was spotless. It was perfect. I was back down to earth with a bump after Elton.'

Intriguing Trailer for 1950s-Set Drama FINALLY DAWN Featuring Lily James, Joe Keery and Willem Dafoe — GeekTyrant

After a 2023 Venice Film Festival debut, Samuel Goldwyn Films has debuted the US trailer for the Italian film Finally Dawn , featuring the star-studded cast that includes Lily James, Willem Dafoe, Rachel Sennott, Joe Keery, Alba Rohrwacher, Michele Bravi, and Rebecca Antonaci. The film is written and directed by Saverio Costanzo ( Private , In Memory of Me , Auschwitz 2006 , In Treatment , My Brilliant Friend ). The synopsis reads: 'Rome, 1953. The night after the murder of Wilma Montesi, several people linked to a sword-and-sandal film set in ancient Egypt that is being shot at Cinecittà find themselves sharing many moments: Mimosa (Rebecca Antonaci), a simple Roman girl, about to marry a man who is liked more by his family than by her, who initially showed up at Cinecittà only to be an extra; Josephine Esperanto (Lily James), the star of the film, a veteran of classic Hollywood who feels threatened by the new generation of 'naturalistic' actors represented by Sean Lockwood, another protagonist of the film; Rufus Priori, an American gallery owner & friend of Josephine's, who will lead the unlikely group on their journey throughout the night.' This looks like an interesting original story. It debuted at a couple of film festivals in 2023, so it's weird we haven't heard more about it. But you'll have the chance to view it now, as it hits select US theaters and VOD on July 18th. Check out the trailer below:

Lily James and Lily Allen turned heads as they attended the 18th annual Tribeca Artists Dinner hosted by Chanel at The Odeon in New York on Monday She accessorised with a matching Chanel bag and added inches to her frame with open-toe heels. Lily pulled her raven tresses up into a stylish up do and accessorised with dazzling jewllerey. Both Lily's posed up a storm on the red carpet as they joined Christy Turlington, Lorelle Lynch, Lucy Liu, and Alisha Boe at the glitzy event. Actress Blake Lively also made an appearance just hours after breaking her silence on Justin Baldoni's $400 million countersuit dismissal after It Ends With Us legal war. The actress, 37, released a powerful statement hours after a judge dismissed Justin's case. 'Last week, I stood proudly alongside 19 organizations united in defending women's rights to speak up for their safety,' she said on Instagram on Monday. 'Like so many others, I've felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us.' The Los Angeles-born star continued: 'While the suit against me was defeated, so many don't have the resources to fight back.' Blake, who shares four children with husband Ryan Reynolds, vowed that she was 'more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman's right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story.' The Gossip Girl alum wrapped up in thanking those in the public who have supported her amid the turbulent past year. 'With love and gratitude for the many who stood by me, many of you I know,' Lively said. 'Many of you I don't. But I will never stop appreciating or advocating for you.' The It Ends With Us actress, whose legal battle with Justin Baldoni has had a significant impact on her friendship with Taylor Swift, added a list of groups that had publicly supported her amid the highly-publicized Tinseltown tussle. Among them, in alphabetical order, were the California Employment Lawyers Association, California Women's Law Center, CHILD USA, Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, Equal Rights Advocates, Esperanza United, Her Justice, and Herunivercity Inc. In a move that might have been a harbinger of changing momentum in the case, Blake took aim at Justin on Thursday, saying that women's groups had abandoned him in droves. A total of '19 leading survivors and organizations devoted to women's rights, children's rights and domestic violence have now signed onto four separate amicus briefs,' a spokesperson for the Another Simple Favor actress told Daily Mail in a statement. The statement continued: 'All are united in opposing Justin Baldoni's attempt to dismantle a law designed to protect women who speak up — simply to protect himself.' Blake's team said that Justin was going against his own playbook as the complicated legal case progresses, leaving himself open to increased scrutiny in the wake of his past public statements. Rather than defend his case on the facts, Justin is now contradicting years of his own public persona - abandoning the message of his #MeToo YouTube's, podcasts, TED Talks, and interviews, where he once upon a time urged men 'to listen to the women in your life … to hold their anguish and actually believe them, even if what they're saying is against you,' Blake's rep said. has reached out to reps for Justin for further comment on this story. The statement wrapped up: 'These women and organizations are sounding the alarm about his DARVO tactics, and the chilling effect they could have well beyond this case.' One party that can breathe a sigh of relief after Justin's lawsuit was thrown out is Marvel Entertainment, LLC. Justin had subpoenaed the studio to get it to preserve any documents related to the Deadpool & Wolverine character Nicepool, which his legal team claimed was designed 'to mock, harass, ridicule, intimidate or bully' Justin. But after throwing out Justin's lawsuit, Liman agreed to Marvel's request to 'quash the subpoena issued to Marvel from [Justin's] Wayfarer Parties and for a protective order prohibiting the disclosure of Marvel's confidential documents.' Justin's team had send a letter requesting documents be retained to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Bob Iger, CEO of its parent company Walt Disney, on January 7. Blake has accused Justin of sexual harassment in a lawsuit; while Justin accused Blake, her husband Ryan Reynolds and publicist Leslie Sloane of defamation and extortion in a $400 million suit - the latter of which was dismissed Monday. Justin has denied the allegations brought about by Blake, while Blake, Ryan and Leslie have denied the accusations made in litigation by Justin. Blake in December sued Justin amid claims of sexual harassment during production of the motion picture. In her lawsuit, the Gossip Girl alum accused Justin of sexually harassing her in multiple ways — including body shaming her — and orchestrating a smear campaign against her to damage her reputation. Justin and his reps have said in response to the lawsuit that Blake twisted the meaning of text messages and mislead the public about their interactions while making the motion picture. In her lawsuit, Blake named a number of Justin's collaborators, including his company Wayfarer Studios, the studio's CEO and financial backer, and PR personnel Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel. Justin subsequently sued the newspaper for $250 million in a defamation claim over a December 21 story titled '"We Can Bury Anyone": Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine ;' the newspaper has denied the allegations. Justin on January 16 filed a $400 million lawsuit against Blake, Ryan and her publicist Leslie Sloane, alleging defamation and extortion. Justin told the court the trio had concocted 'false accusations of sexual harassment' against him.

Lily James puts on a leggy display in purple mini dress after stepping out in black mini skirt during day in NYC

Lily James put on a leggy display as she attended a screening of her film Relay at the SVA Theater in New York City on Saturday. The actress, 36, looked incredible as she slipped into a purple mini dress with long sleeves and a turtle neck. The garment highlighted the star's jaw-dropping figure and Lily added height to her frame with a pair of matching heels. Letting her locks fall loose down her shoulders, the Downton Abbey star completed her look with a pair of sunglasses. Earlier on the day, Lily stepped out in a white vest top tucked into a black mini skirt. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She wrapped up in a matching blazer and also wore black shoes and carried a small handbag. It comes after Lily celebrated her 36th birthday in April at a Michelin-starred restaurant in North London with her famous friends. The actress splashed out on a private dining room at modern Italian restaurant, Luca, not far from Lily's Grade-II listed £3million home. Hiring a private space at the lavish eatery which has a minimum spend of £650, with the chef's fixed menu, including a wine pairing with each course, costs nearly £200 per person. Lily was all smiles as she was joined by several close friends including her Mamma Mia! co-star, Dominic Cooper, his girlfriend, actress Gemma Chan, actress Gala Gordon and socialite Poppy Delevingne, older sister of model Cara. Gala and Poppy took to Instagram to share pictures showing Lily looking happier than ever as she celebrated her day. She looked relaxed in a khaki sleeveless dress cut away at the waist, showing off her slender frame. The Surrey-born star and her friends drank champagne and red wine while feasting on a menu with mouth-watering items including £68 beef ribeye, £49 lamb with spiky artichoke and pine nuts and fresh pasta dishes such as £46 prawn taglierini. Lily wrapped up in a black blazer and also sported a pair of matching shoes At the end of the meal, Lily was treated to a big white birthday cake adorned with multi-coloured candles, meringue balls and an icing photo of herself as a child in an early acting role. 'Keep shining my girl - this is your year,' her close friend Gala, 34, captioned a video online. Gala is an executive producer of Swiped, the film starring Lily as Whitney Wolfe Herd, the founder of dating app Bumble, due out this year. Gala is also co-founder of a film production company, Parados Productions, with Lily. Poppy, 38, shared a video of her and Lily playing around in a lift, with a soundtrack of the quote: 'You are by the far the baddest, raddest, sexiest, most far-out kick-a** chick that I've ever met!' It is a line said by actor Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee to Lily's Pamela Anderson in the 2022 TV series, Pam and Tommy. 'You really f****** are,' wrote Poppy, who is heavily pregnant with her first child - a girl - by her billionaire boyfriend, Archie Keswick. 'Happy birthday beautiful LILS. Love you to Pluto.' Lily, who has previously been in long-term relationships with actor Matt Smith and US musician Michael Shuman, did not appear to be joined by a date at her birthday bash.
