Xbox cloud games will soon follow you across Xbox, PC, and Windows handhelds
Microsoft is starting to test updates to the Xbox PC app and Xbox consoles that will allow cloud games to follow you across devices. A new play history section of the Xbox PC app and Xbox console home UI will also display cloud games as part of the recently played titles list and this will follow you across Xbox consoles, PCs, and handhelds. Cloud-playable games are now starting to show inside play history or the library on the Xbox PC app. 'This includes all cloud playable titles, even console exclusives spanning from the original Xbox to Xbox Series X|S, whether you own the title or access it through Game Pass,' explains Lily Wang, product manager of Xbox experiences. Your recent games, including cloud ones, will soon follow you across devices, too. So if you played an Xbox game on your console that's not natively available on PC, it will still show up in your recent games list and be playable through Xbox Cloud Gaming on Windows. Cloud-playable games on the Xbox PC app can be found from a new filter in the library section, and a new 'play history' section will appear at the end of the jump back in list on the home screen of the Xbox PC app. 'While the large tiles highlight games you've recently played on your current device, the play history tile shows games you've played across any Xbox device, making it easy to pick up where you left off,' says Wang. This same play history section will appear on the main Xbox console interface, too — which could mean we'll eventually see PC games listed here and playable through Xbox Cloud Gaming. Microsoft currently uses the chips from Xbox Series X to power special server blades for Xbox Cloud Gaming, but internal emails in the FTC v. Microsoft case in 2023 revealed that Microsoft has been investigating streaming PC games over the cloud. With Microsoft moving Xbox and PC closer together for its next-gen consoles, I'm expecting to see Xbox Cloud Gaming support PC games and provide better bitrates and resolutions, too.

China's kindergartens grapple with economic impact of plunge in prospective pupils
The government-affiliated kindergarten that Lily Wang works for in northeastern China used to be reserved for the children of officials, but China's plunging birth rate means it is having to cast its net wider nowadays. 'The leadership has shifted its approach, enlarging the enrolment base and learning from the southern regions by adopting group-based management,' said Wang, a senior teacher at the kindergarten in Harbin, Heilongjiang's provincial capital. It began recruiting pupils from the general populace in autumn last year. While it still gives priority to officials' children when reviewing applications, Wang said it felt as though even more pupils came from other backgrounds this year. With fewer children being born in China, the country's kindergartens are struggling to find a path to survival. Solutions range from enrolling pupils from a wider range of backgrounds to offering other services that make use of teachers' skills. China's population fell for the first time in 60 years in 2022 , with 9.56 million babies born that year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The number of births fell further in 2023 before rebounding slightly last year – due in part to the Year of the Dragon being regarded as auspicious. There were 253,300 kindergartens operating in China last year, down about 38,400 – or just over 13 per cent – from 2020. The number of children enrolled in them, which peaked at 48.18 million in 2020, was down 25.5 per cent at 35.84 million.

Amazon Listed a Cabin-style Tiny Home With 2 Bedrooms, Tons of Natural Light, and Solar Panels for Under $10K
I've been living in New York City for almost five years and have always rented my apartments, but I dream of one day owning a home with enough space to store my entire luggage collection (and then some). Instead of spending all of my travel savings on a traditional home, I'm relying on Amazon's more affordable prefabricated tiny houses to make that dream a reality. The online retailer's outdoor store is stocked with customizable tiny homes, including this luxury cabin-inspired design that has two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a bathroom. It's less than $10,000, which is a major steal compared to the six- and seven-figure traditional homes in my area, and the entire space can be customized. Keep reading to learn why it's the perfect space for a rent-free home, a cabin for camping, or a backyard guest house. Off-Grid Tiny Home Kit Amazon Lily Wang, a product manager for the tiny house manufacturing company ZHong Machinery, described this model as one of their most 'hot selling' homes—and we can see why. It comes practically move-in ready with insulation, windows, doors, plumbing, and electrical outlets pre-installed, a full bathroom with a toilet and full-sized shower, as well as a kitchen. Plus, half of the front of the house is covered in floor-to-ceiling windows to help drench the space in natural light, which is especially beneficial for morning yoga sessions. Amazon The manufacturer even gives you the power to customize the tiny house, too. You can switch up the exterior color and type of flooring for no extra cost. You can also increase the size of the home to 800 square feet and go up to three bedrooms. Those personalizations come at a cost, but they're worth it if you need the extra space or want to add an office or guest bedroom. If you want to make the home even more energy efficient, you can have solar panels and a rainwater harvesting system included in the design, which will capture water that you can use for drinking, washing dishes, and more—and help cut down on your water and electric bill, saving you more money in the long run. You'll just need to contact the company through WhatsApp with all of your customization requests. Amazon Amazon Constructing the house won't take a lot of time either, thanks to its easy foldable design. All you have to do is unfold the walls and install them into place—no need to construct the walls piece-by-piece as if you were building a traditional house from scratch. Then you can have fun incorporating your own furniture and favorite home decor. Amazon also has a wide selection of home accessories to make your new house feel complete. Amazon Has a Farmhouse-inspired Tiny House With a Front Porch, Solar Panels, and Lots of Windows for Under $10K
I love to imagine what my dream house would look like. In case you're wondering, it has multiple bedrooms, a closet with enough space for my clothes and luggage collection, and an outdoor space to host friends. Amazon's outdoor store has a hidden section filled with customizable tiny house kits—from two-story options to ranch styles—that let you design your own home. So people like me, a frequent flier who prefers to use any spare change on traveling, can still have that dream home and see the world. I recently spotted a contemporary tiny house at Amazon that checks off all requirements, and it's less than $12,000. The design reminds me of a modern farmhouse, with its floor-to-ceiling windows that'll drench the space in natural light, and a fully covered front porch that's perfect for relaxing and watching the sunset after a long day of work. It comes practically move-in ready too, with plumbing, electrical outlets, kitchen cabinets, and a full bathroom at no extra cost. Insulation is also added to the windows, doors, and walls, so you can save time and money doing it yourself. The manufacturer, Zhong Machinery, also lets you customize the house to your unique taste—no contractor needed. The tiny house can be as large as 800 square feet and have as many as three bedrooms. These additions do come at an extra cost, but it's worth it if you need more space or want a home office and a guest bedroom. Lily Wang, a product manager for the brand, confirmed that the home can also include solar panels and a rainwater harvesting system. Both will require you to install them, but they'll help cut down your water and electricity costs. You'll just need to contact Zhong Machinery through WhatsApp before you purchase the home. Building the tiny house is also quick and easy. It has a foldable design that doesn't require building it piece-by-piece (unlike traditional houses). Just unfold the walls and connect them together—no sawing, drilling, or hard hat required. Shop this tiny house kit under $12,000, and check out must-have home decor and accessories at Amazon to make your new house feel like a cozy home. Love a great deal?
