Regina police deem fatal pedestrian collision a homicide
Regina police have deemed a fatal pedestrian collision on Tuesday a homicide. Officers were first called to the 2200 block of Lindsay Street on Tuesday for the report of an injured man who was involved in a collision with a vehicle, according to the Regina Police Service (RPS). Following an attempt at life saving measures by EMS, the 38-year-old man was declared dead on the scene. Police secured the area and requested resources from the RPS major crime unit, the forensic identification unit and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service. A death investigation was then launched on Tuesday evening. Photos from the scene showed a damaged bicycle beside an SUV in the parking lot of the Al Ritchie Ice Arena. On Wednesday, RPS said the man's death has been deemed a homicide and have charged 36-year-old Alexandra Crowe with second-degree murder and failure to comply with a probation order. She was scheduled to make her first appearance in Regina Provincial court on Wednesday morning. However, court was adjourned to July 21. Police have not released the victim's name.
