Tyler Atkinson, a five-star standout from Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia, will announce where he's headed during The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN this Tuesday afternoon. Atkinson, listed at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, is rated as the nation's No. 1 linebacker and a top-10 overall prospect for 2026, according to the 247Sports Composite. Advertisement He recently narrowed his choices to Clemson, Georgia, Oregon and Texas, taking official visits to each. Atkinson has been on Clemson's radar for a long time, and the Tigers have made him feel like a top priority throughout the recruiting process. Atkinson's announcement is one of the most anticipated recruiting moments of the summer for Clemson fans hoping to see the Tigers continue stacking elite defensive talent. Landing him would be a major boost for Clemson's 2026 class and a big statement against other national powers. Colorado Buffaloes Land ESPN 300 Four-Star Linebacker Over Power Four Schools

Colorado Buffaloes Land ESPN 300 Four-Star Linebacker Over Power Four Schools originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Deion Sanders has landed a few good recruits in the month of July. The surge continued on Saturday as four-star linebacker Rodney Colton Jr. committed to the Colorado Buffaloes over the Florida State Seminoles and Ole Miss Rebels. Advertisement The Newnan, Georgia product became the Buffaloes seventh defensive recruit during this cycle and the second four-star, along with Brandon, Mississippi safety Preston Ashley. They're now the two cornerstones of the 2026 recruiting class for Coach Prime and the Buffs with no five-star talents. At 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, Colton Jr. is the No. 15 linebacker in his class and the No. 23 prospect in Georgia. He was previously committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks and ultimately decided to be in Boulder. He's currently 298th overall on the ESPN 300 list. "Everything was great on my visit," Colton told BuffStampede. "Coach Hart is a great man, I am not going to lie. He is down to earth, he is cool, cordial, all of it. He is always checking in, making sure I am good, making sure my family is straight." Colton is the biggest pick up for Sanders and Colorado after the 2026 class was slow rolling into July with three players on the books. What makes his commitment even bigger for CU is the fact Colton turned down offers from teams in the College Football Playoff like Penn State and SMU. While Sanders and his staff aren't blowing other teams out of the water with recruits, this is all by design and follows the pattern of previous years. They find players who are ready to play and fill in the gaps through the transfer portal. Colton closed his junior season at Newnan High School last fall with 51 total tackles (12 for loss), six sacks and an interception. Advertisement Following Colton's commitment, Colorado's 2026 recruiting class got a boost to No. 79, according to 247Sports. They sat at No. 100 to open the month and are expected to pick up a few more players. This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jul 13, 2025, where it first appeared.

MindsEye Guide: Missions 13-15 Walkthrough

MindsEye Guide: Missions 13-15 Mission 13: Penthouse Gamble Back to top ↑ Exit the car and head north, over to the marked door (pictured below). The game doesn't actually tell you this but unlike with Claudia's apartment, you don't need to send your drone all the way to the roof, despite what the instructions tell you to do. Instead, head over to the red door north by the garage and press R1 and B to short-circuit the panel. Inside, use the elevator to head up and follow the linear path all the way to the penthouse. When you get near the ladder, you'll need to hop down to the exterior and run along the edges When prompted, smash the glass with your gun and head inside. Work your way through the building, being sure to use your Linebacker given the close-quarters combat that will come at you. Be sure to turn on your torch too by pressing the right directional button for clearer visibility. Eventually you'll reach the office. Inside, approach the painting opposite the computer and scan it by pressing the down directional button. Press Triangle (Y) to crack the safe and to get the digits, simply wait for the marker to hover round to the red pin and press X (A) to trigger. Do this five times and you'll gain the Achievement: Robin Of Lock Keys. When you leave the room, watch out for the five enemies here waiting for you. Kill them and once they're dealt with, head to the elevator to trigger a cutscene. Mission 14: The Mole Back to top ↑ Exit the house and drive over to Claudia's. Deploy your drone and wait for Claudia to exit when you get there, then use your drone to keep near to her car. It doesn't really matter if you bump into her with the drone or even hover it in front of her face, the game isn't intelligent enough to register this as a fail. However, you do need to keep it close enough for the hack to complete and the files to copy so you'll need to follow for a while. When the copying reaches 100%, follow the route across to Claudia at the parking lot. When you get there, you'll need to fight through the enemies that will ambush you. It's a good idea to use your SMG for maximum effect here as they're generally spread out and mid-to-long-range distance. Afterwards, you'll need to use your drone to enter the office. To do so, deploy your drone, stay in cover behind the nearby barricade (enemies will attack as soon as you unlock the doors) and fly it outside. Look out for an open office window (pictured below) then fly in and stun the door with a hit of R1 and O. Kill the enemies that arrive and exit out the stairwell. Kill the next set of enemies on the ground floor and enter your car. When you exit out the parking lot, make sure you turn left, not right, to stay close to Claudia as a car chase will ensue. You'll now need to chase Claudia all over the city and it does go on for a while. Finally you'll reach the Solar farm out in the desert where she'll stop. Once here, kill the enemies, being sure to use your scan (pressing down) to locate any strays that may have got stuck on the terrain. With the enemies dead, and Claudia riding out into the sunset to fight another day, return to your car and it'll trigger another cutscene. Mission 15: Seeking Doctor Morrison Back to top ↑ Drive all the way over to the Perez mines and some drones will attack. Be sure to use your SMG for maximum effect and scan your environment to mark these on your map. When they turn their green light (docile) to red (attacking), be sure to keep cover and attack with your long-range weapons. Once they're all gone, follow the marker into the mines. Eventually you'll find an area with a large yellow door (pictured above). When you approach, another cutscene will ensue. It's quite a long one to be fair and once it's done, you'll need to head up the long corridor and stairwell to retrieve your weapons. Then, you'll need to double-back on yourself to trigger the next cutscene and end this mission.

Wichita Navy veteran helps U.S. win the Cold War by hunting Russian subs

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Navy veteran Jeffrey Rians was drafted in 1971, and his feelings about it have definitely changed. 'We hoped that our draft number would be high so we would bypass it, but in hindsight, I'm glad it was because I joined the Navy and I learned a lot,' said Rians. Rians became an Aviation Fire Control Technician and spent three years on the USS Midway servicing the circuit boards of the A-6 Intruder aircraft during the Vietnam War in the Linebacker bombing campaigns. Augusta Air Force veteran reflects on 20 years, including nuclear missile duty 'Every airplane up there was full of bombs. Some of them came back with hung ordnance landing on the ship. So, they're fueling, they're re-arming. It's a dangerous place to be, but not like the guys in the jungle,' said Rians. Rians came to the end of his enlistment and the next chapter of his naval career. He'd spend the next 16 years hunting Russian submarines during the Cold War as an Anti-Submarine Warfare Operator. 'There's acoustic and non-acoustic sensors on the aircraft, and we'd put listening devices in the water and track soviet ballistic or attack submarines. And we were very good at it,' said Rians. Rians spent his time protecting the waters of the Mid-Pacific above Hawaii as well as our nation's aircraft carriers. 'We'd stay on top of them with aircraft after aircraft, and then we'd leave them alone for a day, and they thought they got away, and then we'd go find them again and stay on top of them. They knew we were there,' said Rians. Rians retired from the Navy in 1991 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer and his civilian career in the aviation industry took him to Wichita where he met his wife. He's now enjoying retirement and is proud of the part he played in America's Cold War Victory. 'It was amazing to do this and know we were successful almost every time,' said Rians.
