The 31-year-old was beaten by world record holder Tobi Amusan, who dominated from the start and crossed the line in 12.45.
Amusan finished 0.3 seconds clear of Slovakia's Viktoria Forster, who edged Lavin for second place with a time of 12.74 after a very tight contest.
Lavin's performance marked a strong improvement on her previous season's best that was recorded just three days ago in Finland.

And it's good signs for the Lisnagry ace as she builds forma ahead of the World Championships that are set to take place in Tokyo from 13–21 September.
Lavin's next appearance will come at the European Team Championships in Slovenia this weekend.
She'll run for her country in both the 100m hurdles and the women's 4x100m relay.
