Billy Bush Claims He Flagged Donald Trump's Lewd ‘Access Hollywood' Comments to His Producer in 2005

Billy Bush brought up Donald Trump's infamous Access Hollywood tape during a new interview with Rob Lowe on the actor's SiriusXM podcast Literally! With Rob Lowe, revealing that he flagged the president's lewd comments to a superior more than a decade before the scandal broke. 'The day of the filming in 2005, I called my producer [and] said, 'You're not gonna believe what Trump said. He is going after Nancy.' All I said was 'Nancy O'Dell' because I didn't hear the other stuff,' Bush told Lowe, referencing his Access Hollywood colleague O'Dell. The 'other stuff' seemingly refers to Trump's comments about grabbing women by the genitals. 'I said, 'He's trying to take Nancy furniture shopping to sleep with her. This is crazy. He's done it again! The guy's an animal!' I report it, basically, to my superior, but it sits in a desk forever because…had that tape leaked out when it actually occurred in 2005, I would've been fired for an entirely different reason — killing NBC's cash cow. Trump was a protected, revered source. He was a hundred million dollars in profit for NBC. He was the king of the ratings.' More from The Hollywood Reporter Meet the Trump-Loving Union Boss Who Thinks He Can Save Hollywood Sergei Loznitsa Thinks 'Two Prosecutors' Will Feel Familiar in U.S., Eyes Stalin Purge Drama Follow-up Six Questions About Where All the TikTok Drama Is Heading At the time, Trump fronted the successful reality show The Apprentice for NBC while Bush was in his first full year as an Access Hollywood co-anchor alongside O'Dell. It wasn't until 2016, during the final weeks of Trump's first campaign for the White House, that The Washington Post published an exposé that revealed audio of what has come to be known as 'the Access Hollywood tape.' The recording features Trump, who would survive the scandal to become president of the United States two times over, bragging on a bus in 2005 about grabbing women by the genitals in audio captured off camera. 'When you're a star, they let you do it,' he is overheard saying. 'You can do anything.' Bush could be heard laughing in the background, and his involvement in the scandal ended up costing him a job at NBC's Today. He's since recalled the incident and its fallout for The Hollywood Reporter and in a column for The New York Times, among other outlets. To Lowe, Bush also offered additional details about how NBC executives were on the hunt for clips that featured Trump speaking in a disparaging manner about women. 'NBC put out an APB, all points bulletin, on Donald Trump because there was a former [pageant queen] who came forward and said he had done something inappropriate. Donald Trump said, 'I've never said or done anything inappropriate with women ever in my life,'' Bush recalled. 'And then NBC, who hates him, sent out these messages to every division of the company: 'Do you have any tapes…what they really wanted was Mark Burnett's tape, the guy who ran The Apprentice, because there's outtakes forever — but [they asked], 'Does anyone else have anything of him talking disparagingly about women? We need this.' And my producer at the time was like, 'Holy shit. The bus ride. That tape, that was like 11 years ago. That's the time when Bush called me right after it happened.'' On Literally! With Rob Lowe, Bush said by losing his job, he lost out on his first 'really big paycheck.' He also credits a close circle, which included his brother, his pastor, Tony Robbins and celebrities like Dennis Quaid, Julie Bowen, Cindy Crawford, Eric Stonestreet, Michael Strahan, Modern Family creator Steve Levitan and Suzanne Somers, for supporting him. 'I would never have survived without them,' Bush said. 'I did everything I could think of to keep myself from jumping off the building because, Rob, I was about to get a huge paycheck, my first really big paycheck. I'm at the Today show. They still have money. They're the last thing in linear television with real money…and right back to the bottom of the hill. Or let's say the middle of the hill and then you have to keep coming back up again.' Bush said he also remembers those people who weren't there for him at the time; though he offers advice for anyone in a similar predicament with their own friends. 'I always say pick up the phone, call, send a text: 'Hey, buddy. Thinking about you. I'm here.' Do it. Do it. If you're ever on that fulcrum where you can't decide, do it.' Lowe's episode with Bush is part of the new season of Literally! Ricky Martin stormed off set after Billy Bush nearly outed him mid-interview

Don't miss out on the headlines from Celebrity Life. Followed categories will be added to My News. Ricky Martin was fuming when an American radio host questioned him about his sexuality in the early noughties. Billy Bush — who now regrets the intrusive question — revealed on Literally! With Rob Lowe on Thursday that he told the Latin music superstar at the time that eight people he spoke to in the lobby bar the night prior wanted to know 'if you're gay.' 'He stiffens up in the chair and he goes, 'What?' And I go, 'Oh boy,'' the reporter recalled. 'And he goes, 'You motherf**ker,' rips off his microphone.' Bush, now 53, claimed Martin, also now 53, added, 'You want your headline … You piece of garbage.' Billy Bush has recalled how Ricky Martin fumed when the host tried to out him during an interview in the noughties. Bush says he regretted asking Martin if he was gay. The Livin' La Vida Loca singer allegedly then walked off the set, leaving the entertainment reporter to say to himself, 'Oh sh*t,' while his producer also freaked out and said, 'This is terrible.' Bush, who had flown to Miami for the interview, claimed he got a call from his bosses in Los Angeles shortly after, and they reprimanded him for his line of questioning. 'I'm not in the business of hurting people. I am in the business of figuring out who I am and where I'm going. And you need to be able to make mistakes in life,' the Extra host told podcaster Rob Lowe, further reflecting on the incident. Martin reportedly ripped his mic off and stormed off set. Picture:Bush said he immediately walked back into the interview location to apologise to Martin, and said, 'Ricky, I am so sorry for asking that question. I don't know what I was thinking. It was a cowboy question. It was inappropriate. I'm so sorry, and I promise you this will never see the light of day.' The Nobody Wants to Be Lonely singer then transparently told him, 'I've been struggling with this my whole life. There will be a time, there will be a place. It will not be here on this program while I'm promoting this album.' He continued, 'It is deeply personal to me. I appreciate you coming back in here. I forgive you.' Martin eventually came out as gay in 2010, approximately seven years after his interview with Bush. He announced on his website at the time that he was a 'fortunate homosexual man.' The She Bangs singer added, 'These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn't even know existed.' The revelation came after years of speculation about Martin's sexuality from fans and journalists, like Bush, who pried into the details about his personal life. In the early noughties, there were many rumours about Martin's sexuality. Picture:The now-late Barbara Walters infamously asked the She's All I Ever Had singer about the 'rumours' in a sit-down for '20/20' in 2000, which the renowned news anchor later regretted. Martin has said that interview left him feeling 'violated' and with 'a little PTSD' because he wasn't ready to come out. Bush shared that, for his part, he was able to make amends with the Grammy winner two years after their uncomfortable exchange. 'He gave me a great big hug, and we had went through it and I learned a valuable lesson that day,' the Hot Mics with Billy Bush host said. 'Don't be an a**hole, don't be an idiot. You have to find nuance in this business, who people are, where you can go, where you can't.' Kristin Davis's Dating History Reveals She's Nothing Like Charlotte

As Charlotte York on Sex and the City, Kristin Davis played a very relationship-oriented character. In her real life, the actress is much more focused on living single and raising her two adopted kids, Gemma and Wilson. During a 2023 Best Friend Energy podcast interview, she explained how she thinks about relationships. 'I'm not married. I've never been married. It's not my thing. I was never focused on it. It was never like a goal, let's say,' she shared. 'I do have friends who have stable marriages, and I look at them and admire what they have, but I don't necessarily think I've ever had that kind of relationship. I don't know that I necessarily totally intended to [still be single], though I do remember being young and thinking, 'Why are all these people getting married?' But I'm an actress—I've never exactly been the status quo.' Davis did say she was raised to expect marriage, with a more conservative upbringing in the South, but she moved to New York City to pursue acting. Her 20s were dedicated to her career and she was on SATC in her 30s. She added, 'I felt rebellious about it. When I was young, I thought that marriage seemed like the patriarchy.' In an interview with The Times in 2021, Davis shared, 'I'm not not dating but I'm not actively dating.' She added, 'I'm not interested in the small talk, I find it boring. I just want to cut to the deep stuff, and they don't always want to do that. And then, I'm just terrible at casual sex.' Despite her childhood anti-marriage stance, Davis has had a few public romances over the years. Here's her complete dating history so far. Davis was linked to actor Alec Baldwin in 2001, and they seemingly dated on-and-off for a few years. But she never spoked much about the relationship until a February 2025 interview on the Literally! With Rob Lowe podcast. First, Davis shared a story about an unnamed actor she dated who broke up with her after she loaned him $5,000. Davis denied that it was Baldwin, before reflecting on the former relationship. 'Alec Baldwin was so rich by the time I dated Alec Baldwin,' Davis said. 'One of the best things about Alec Baldwin when I dated him is that he had the most incredible house in Amagansett.' She continued, 'I remember I was at work, and I was like, 'Sarah Jessica [Parker], I just don't know if it's going to work out with Alec and I, but I just really love that house.' Which is literally one of the only times I have felt that way. Where I don't want to break up with this person because I love this house.' She added, 'I would have never needed to lend Alec $5,000. Oh my God.' Davis never named the mooch but said he's doing fine now. 'I think he still is very hot, he's married now,' Davis said. 'I think it's definitely someone now everyone thinks he's hot. The only reason is it's a mistake is you don't really want to do that with someone that you date, because it changes the dynamic, and you can't really ride that ship.' Around 2003, David was also romantically linked to actor Liev Schreiber but has never said much about the relationship. That same year, Davis was reportedly dating Homeland actor Damian Lewis. In 2006, she was linked to basketball star Rick Fox. Davis started dating writer and director Aaron Sorkin in 2012. In May 2012, a source told E! News, 'It's been going on for around six weeks. They are really happy. They have actually known each other a while through mutual friends and would sometimes bump into one another at industry events, but it has only just turned into something more.' Davis was Sorkin's date to the Los Angeles premiere of his show The Newsroom in June 2012, but they split a few weeks later. 'They're very different people,' a source told In Touch in August 2012, via HuffPost. 'She's focused on raising her daughter, Gemma, and he's working on his show.'

The Simple Life alum, 43, and Good Charlotte frontman, 46, sold the 6,100-square-foot home for $10,183,985 on May 30, according to property records. The original asking price for the Parisian-style abode was $12.95 million, meaning the couple slashed the price by about $2.77 million before finding a buyer. The four-bedroom, 5.5-bath home is located in an exclusive and star-studded gated community in Beverly Hills and features a three-car garage, a library equipped with a fireplace, and a spa, according to the listing. Outside, the luxury home boasts a swimming pool and olive trees. The couple first purchased the property in 2021 after selling their previous residence, according to Before the couple moved in, the property was featured in Architectural Digest in a piece highlighting Simo Design, the Los Angeles-based designers who reimagined it. After the home's makeover, the designers put the home on the market in 2020 for $13 million, and later reduced the asking price to $12.4 million before selling to Richie and Joel, per The stars — who have been married since 2010 and are parents to two teenagers, Harlow, 17, and Sparrow, 15 — first put the property on the market last summer, just days after Madden's twin brother Benji and his wife, Cameron Diaz, listed theirs. Richie and Joel's listing went live on July 12, while Benji, 46, and Diaz, 52, listed their home on July 9. The Holiday actress and Good Charlotte guitarist put their compound, situated in the Benedict Canyon neighborhood, up for sale for $17.8 million, according to The longtime couple — who wed in January 2015 and share kids Raddix, 5, Cardinal, 1 — first bought the seven-bedroom, 8.5-bath mansion home in 2020 for $14.7 million. "They have multiple residences in Los Angeles and are choosing to let go of the Benedict property so that they can take residency at another one of their homes," the insider said. Both couples keep their marriages largely out of the spotlight. The twin Good Charlotte rockers did, however, recently open up about their 'healthy fear' of their wives while appearing on Rob Lowe's SiriusXM podcast Literally! in March. "They are absolutely our counterparts, and we all have a healthy fear of our wives... I don't know if I ever thought someone could keep me," Joel said "I was a relationship guy, but then I met Nicole, and she absolutely runs the show — but we are partners." The former reality star, Joel continued, "gave me a way deeper, richer life because of the aspects of my life that she oversees, she runs, and vice versa. We work together, but she's strong. I respect her and fear her a little bit." "That's the queen," Benji later added of Diaz. 'Go against my wife? Good luck. I don't even need to get involved." Read the original article on People

Avengers: Doomsday may have started filming 15 days ago, but one of its stars still hasn't seen a script: "I've had a preliminary introduction to the idea"

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Such is the secrecy surrounding Marvel Studios' big projects, it's little wonder that we know next to nothing about Avengers: Doomsday. Still, it should come as a surprise that – over two weeks into filming – one of its stars says they haven't seen a script yet. "I've had a preliminary introduction to the idea," Grammer said of his Avengers: Doomsday return during an appearance on Literally! With Rob Lowe. "They are still very secretive about the script." Admittedly, Grammer may only need to know a small part of Avengers: Doomsday for his return as Beast – and he may not yet have stepped on set at all in London. But it does echo recent comments from fellow cast mate and Thunderbolts star David Harbour when he spoke to GamesRadar+. "I don't know if you were in the same position, but I kind of knew I was gonna be in it, but I didn't know anybody else was gonna be in it, I don't have a story, I don't have a script, anything like that," Harbour said to John Walker actor Wyatt Russell. Russell added, "I know it changed about a thousand times, and it's still changing. So you're kept on your toes. It's like, I don't know what is happening, but, you know, you get a call, and it's like 'The eagle flies north tonight'. And you're like, 'Okay, I have to get on an airplane.'" Grammer portrayed Beast in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. He later reprised his role in the MCU as part of The Marvels post-credits scene which saw Monica Rambeau wake up in another universe to be greeted by Beast and an alternate version of her mother, Maria. Avengers: Doomsday is set for release on May 1, 2026. For more, check out our guides to upcoming Marvel movies and Marvel Phase 6.
