"Meet the Parents 4" Official Title Revealed
Yara Sameh The fourth Meet the Parents movie has set a title. "Focker in-Law" is the official title of the entry. Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo and Owen Wilson will return for the fourth installment in the long-running comedy series, while Ariana Grande is joining the cast. The film's title references the surname of Stiller's character, Greg Focker. In the original movie, he endures a lot of painfully awkward hijinx while meeting his partner's parents for the first time. 'Meet the Parents,' which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, became a box office blockbuster with $330 million worldwide. The comedy of errors then spawned two commercially successful sequels: 2004's 'Meet the Fockers' (which introduced Greg's parents, Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman) and 2010's 'Little Fockers.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by @fockerinlaw John Hamburg, who wrote the first three films, will pen and direct 'Focker in-Law.' Stiller teased the fourquel during a 25th anniversary screening of 'Meet the Parents,' saying they only returned because they found an 'organic reason' to revisit the characters. 'What spurred the idea is that I'm the age that Bob was when we did the first movie,' Stiller told the crowd at the Tribeca Festival. 'It felt like a mirror to the first film, where one of my kids is thinking about introducing his person to the family.' De Niro revealed he's read the screenplay, though he stopped short of offering any plot details. 'The script is really fun,' he shared. 'I'm looking forward to it.' Audiences, meanwhile, won't get a glimpse of the on-screen shenanigans until 'Focker in-Law' opens in theaters on November 25, 2026. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani

Skyler Gisondo in talks for Meet the Parents 4 role
Skyler Gisondo is set to join the cast of Meet the Parents 4. The Superman actor is in talks for a role in the new movie in the comedy franchise alongside original stars Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo and Blythe Danner as well as new addition Ariana Grande. Plot details on the flick - which is slated for release in November 2026 - are being kept under wraps but insiders say that Skyler, 29, is likely to play one of Stiller and Polo's sons in the film, which is being directed by John Hamburg. The original Meet the Parents film was a big hit when it was released in 2000 and was subsequently followed by sequels Meet the Fockers and Little Fockers in 2004 and 2010 respectively. De Niro will produce the new picture with Jane Rosenthal for their Tribeca Productions banner with Stiller doing likewise through Red Hour Films alongside John Lesher. The Zoolander star will reprise his role as Greg Focker in the new movie and felt that it was the ideal time to revisit the franchise as he is the same age that De Niro was when the first film was released a quarter of a century ago. Speaking at a recent 25th anniversary screening of Meet the Parents, Ben explained: "I think what spurred the idea was that at this point in time, I'm the age that Bob (De Niro) was when we did the first movie. "And there was this sort of mirror to the first film in terms of the fact that my kids are grown. And, yeah, that my kid, one of my kids, is thinking about introducing his person to the family." Ben is excited to be returning to the comedy series as it has been a long time since the previous film was released. The 59-year-old actor said: "It's exciting that we're going to do it again and be together. "And I think life informs everything that's happened in the last 25 years, and it's been a while since we did the last one... So, it's kind of great to look at it as a sort of new thing. But of course, there's all these great memories, and I feel like our connections are still there when we get back together. It's just all baked in there." Stiller is convinced that the "connection" that exists between the audience and the characters will be beneficial for the upcoming flick. He said: "The audience has this history with the characters and they're going to bring that to the film too. So, there's something that's kind of emotional about it, I think, for me, for the actors, to the connection that people have with the movie." The Severance star recalled how he "lost control" when he first shared a scene with acting legend De Niro, 81, in the original movie. Ben said: "I just laughed. I lost total character and just, it looked so unprofessional. It was awful. I was so nervous, I think but then he laughed and I was like, 'Oh, it's gonna be okay.' "But now, I'm still incredibly intimidated by him 25 years later. He's also the sweetest guy in the world but when he gets mad, it's like you're in Goodfellas or something. It really is. It's great."

Ben Stiller felt the timing was perfect to return to Meet the Parents
Ben Stiller felt it was the right time to revisit the Meet the Parents franchise. The 59-year-old actor is set to reprise his role as Greg Focker in a fourth installment of the comedy series and explained that it felt appropriate to make another film as he is the same age as co-star Robert De Niro was when the original flick was released in 2000. And, yeah, that my kid, one of my kids, is thinking about introducing his person to the family." The Night at the Museum star is excited to return to the franchise for the first time in over 15 years on the fourth film – which is slated for release in November 2026 and will feature Ariana Grande and the returning Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner and Teri Polo in the cast. Stiller said: "It's exciting that we're going to do it again and be together. "And I think life informs everything that's happened in the last 25 years, and it's been a while since we did the last one... So, it's kind of great to look at it as a sort of new thing. But of course, there's all these great memories, and I feel like our connections are still there when we get back together. It's just all baked in there." De Niro states that the script for Meet the Parents 4 is "really good" and recalled how he pushed for the movie to be made when the third film Little Fockers, released in 2010, was in production. The 81-year-old star said: "When we filmed the last one, I was with Ben and John (Hamburg, who co-wrote the three previous movies in the franchise and is set to direct the fourth) in my camper. "And I said, 'Let's start writing one now, to be ready for another one.' And they said, 'Yeah, yeah, sure, sure, sure.' They were humouring me." Meanwhile, Stiller believes that the "connection" that the audience has to the characters will be beneficial for the upcoming flick. He said: "The audience has this history with the characters and they're going to bring that to the film too. So, there's something that's kind of emotional about it, I think, for me, for the actors, to the connection that people have with the movie." The Severance star previously recalled how he was "very nervous" to be working with De Niro on the original film. Stiller said: "Any actor my generation growing up, De Niro is the guy. And I was very nervous the first day. It was good because my character had to be nervous around him, so I didn't have to act that much. But the first moment we had together, he did something. It was the scene where we were meeting at the door and he did something funny, and I just cracked up in his face. "I just laughed.

'I'm Pissed Off': Barbra Streisand Reveals Why She Doesn't Want To Return To Popular Franchise
Barbra Streisand says she's still 'pissed off' over the salary she earned for starring in the Meet the Parents film series. In a new interview with Variety, the actor claimed that she was paid less than her co-stars. She told the outlet that she won't likely return for the franchise's upcoming fourth movie due to the alleged unfair pay. 'Oh my God. They'd have to pay me a lot of money because I didn't get paid what the other people got paid and so I'm pissed off,' Streisand replied after being asked if she would reprise her role as Roz Focker in the untitled film, which is set to release in 2026. 'I was in the time when women were getting paid less than the men,' she added in the interview published Monday. 'The head of Universal was Ron Meyer at the time, and he actually sent me a bonus check. It was very sweet.' Reps for Universal did not immediately respond to HuffPost's request for comment. Streisand famously starred as the free-spirited mom of Ben Stiller's character Greg Focker with Dustin Hoffman as her onscreen husband in 2004's Meet the Fockers, which was the sequel to 2000's Meet the Parents. She also starred in 2010's Little Fockers. Cast members Stiller and Robert De Niro reportedly made $20 million for Little Fockers, Owen Wilson was paid $15 million, and Dustin Hoffman earned $7.5 million. However, Streisand made just $7 million, sources told Page Six back in 2011. This isn't the first time Streisand has spoken about the alleged pay discrepancy in the series. She previously opened up about her Meet the Fockers pay compared to her castmates, without getting into specific numbers, in her 2023 memoir My Name Is Barbra, People reported. 'This was the first time I felt the effect of Hollywood's unequal pay scale for men and women,' she wrote at the time. 'I didn't ask what the other actors were making, but I was definitely hurt when I found out that Dustin was getting three times as much as me, plus a tiny percentage, which is significant on a movie that made $520 million.'
