Amarnath Yatra stopped: Watch scary video of pilgrims being washed away after heavy rain triggers landslide

The Amarnath Yatra was suspended on Thursday from both Pahalgam and Baltal base camps after continuous rainfall triggered a landslide along one of the pilgrimage routes in Kashmir, killing one pilgrim and injuring three others, officials said. The decision comes after 36 hours of heavy rain in the valley, which led to unsafe conditions along the trekking paths to the 3,880-metre-high shrine. Authorities have also issued a weather alert for continued heavy precipitation in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir, including the pilgrimage routes.
