Stunning moment captured on camera as Lleyton and wife rub shoulders with royals
New footage has emerged of Lleyton Hewitt and wife Bec's reaction to a stunning rally in the Wimbledon men's final as they brushed shoulders with the royal family. Lleyton and Bec were invited to sit in the royal box for Sunday's final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz - won by World No.1 Sinner. Retired tennis players Hewitt, Andre Agassi and Chris Evert were all in the royal box, and received their invites as former champions. Hewitt won the title at the All England Club in 2002, while Agassi was crowned champion in 1992. Evert won the prestigious title in 1974, 1976 and 1981. Lleyton and Bec were in London supporting son Cruz, who took part in the junior boys tournament. The 16-year-old Cruz is forging a tennis career of his own, and hoping to follow in the footsteps of his famous father. Cruz enjoyed a straight-sets victory in the opening round of the junior event, but his campaign was ended in the second round. The teenager was spotted in a number of fiery moments directed at father Lleyton as the match slipped away from him. On Sunday, Lleyton was back at the All England Club rubbing shoulders with royalty. The Hewitts were seated directly behind Kate Middleton, and were spotted chatting to the Princess of Wales on numerous occasions. Prince William was also in the front row of the royal box, as were children Charlotte and George. Lleyton and Bec were given top billing in the royal box, and seated in front of other celebrities like Nicole Kidman and Anna Wintour. And there was a moment in the match where they were all blown away. RELATED: Flood of congratulations after Jelena Dokic shares wonderful news Kate Middleton's stunning act for Wimbledon runner-up revealed Wimbledon has released vision of the royal box's reaction to a stunning point won by Alcaraz. The Spanish World No.2 appeared destined to lose the rally, before he produced a wonderful backhand slice that Sinner couldn't get to. The majority of the royal box were on the edge of their seats throughout, before William and Kate were both left with their mouths agape. Bec threw her hands to her face in amazement, while Lleyton was just about the only person in the crowd not to show some sort of disbelief. The Aussie legend clapped the players after the extraordinary rally, but after such an illustrious career it's probably hard to see something that stuns you. In complete contrast, former American player Justin Gimelstob was left completely gobsmacked. A former ATP director, Gimelstob was there as a guest of Agassi. How the Royal Box reacted to THAT Carlos set point 👀#Wimbledon — Wimbledon (@Wimbledon) July 14, 2025 Sinner went on to win the match 4-6 6-4 6-4 6-4, becoming the first Italian to win Wimbledon. His fourth grand slam singles title came after he copped a controversial three-month ban earlier this year for inadvertently ingesting a banned substance. The three-month suspension came at an ideal time for Sinner, who wasn't forced to miss any grand slam tournaments and managed to retain the World No.1 ranking.

Mia Hewitt's boyfriend Vanda Erica pays tribute to her tennis legend dad Lleyton during Newtown gig - after rumours of a rift
Mia Hewitt's rock star boyfriend Vanda Erica appears to have paid tribute to her tennis icon dad Lleyton Hewitt at a recent gig amid rumours of a family rift. The Liquid Zoo frontman took to the stage in Newtown on Sunday wearing a red, vintage cropped top that featured a yellow print of the Aussie tennis star on the front. Lleyton was doing his 'C'mon' pose in the graphic, a signature move that he often made on the tennis courts after scoring a few points. The rocker paired the iconic tee with some low-rise jeans and a pair of shades, while wearing his distinctive blonde locks in a messy hairdo. Vanda was seen showing off his dance moves at the outdoor show before removing his shirt and performing on top of a car, all while his 19-year-old girlfriend Mia cheered him on from the sidelines. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Mia was every inch the rock star girlfriend as she donned a leopard print faux fur jacket over a pair of jeans. She later slipped off the jacket to reveal a white poplin top, cropped to reveal her toned abs. Mia paired the easy-going ensemble with a red bandana around her neck, and wore her wild locks across her shoulders and choosing an '80s cat eye makeup look. Mia could be seen grooving to her boyfriend's music and chatting to her pals before blowing a kiss. It comes as rumours swirl around the couple, with allegations of a Beckham-style rift between them and Mia's family. Last week, it was reported that Lleyton Hewitt had concerns about the fast and loose lifestyle his eldest daughter leads with her rock'n'roll boyfriend. Mia and her rock star partner Vanda were first romantically linked in May last year when they were seen going for lunch in Surry Hills. They are now often seen living wild and free, with sources claiming tennis champion Lleyton, 44, fears Mia is being led astray, according to Woman's Day. 'Lleyton is just like any dad out there and is super protective, especially of his girls. He is very much serving up the tough dad act right now,' an insider said. 'He wants Mia to be happy but he thinks she's still too young to be getting into any kind of serious relationship.' The publication went on to claim there are signs a 'Beckham-style feud is brewing behind the scenes'. The former Wimbledon star was reportedly unimpressed with images that emerged last year of Mia and Vanda smoking and acting up for cameras. He is said to want Mia to experiment and enjoy life, but not at the cost of a healthy lifestyle and quality time with the family. 'Living her dreams is important but so is maintaining her relationship with her family,' the source said. Notably, Mia is the only member of the Hewitt family who follows Vanda on social media. Not even her younger brother Cruz can be found in Vanda's follow list, despite the singer following the 16-year-old's Instagram account. Mia and Vanda have frequently been spotted spending time together at the beach and with their friends. In September last year, the rising star, often dubbed a 'nepo baby' performed her first gig with her band Father's Favourite. Mia, the daughter of Lleyton and his Home and Away star wife Bec, looked stylish in a tiny white skirt and black top as she wowed the crowd at a brewery in Sydney. Her band's Instagram page describes the group as a 'bohemian folk rock duo'. Mia was earlier seen during an outing with a group of friends in Sydney's Rose Bay as they stepped out at Rose Bay House for a meal. The Father's Favourite folk singer shocked onlookers as she was seen smoking during the outing. Her rock star boyfriend Vanda also acted up for the cameras as he was seen wearing shades and swearing while the group laughed. The duo were also joined by one of Vanda's Liquid Zoo bandmates piled out of Mia's car and made their way to a restaurant for a bite to eat. Mia's parents, Lleyton and Bec, met on the tennis court for a charity game at the Starlight Cup back in 1999. The couple didn't reconnect until a few years later and finally met in person in 2005, before getting engaged after a whirlwind romance that lasted six weeks. Grand Slam champion Lleyton married actress Bec 18 years ago in a romantic ceremony at the Sydney Opera House. As well as singer Mia, they also share another daughter, Ava, 14, and son Cruz.

Bec Hewitt and husband Lleyton appear tense at Wimbledon after it emerged a 'Beckham-style feud is brewing' between tennis champ and daughter Mia's rocker boyfriend
Lleyton Hewitt and his wife Bec Hewitt are enjoying a getaway to catch some of the world's most prestigious tennis matches. The power couple attended the Ladies' Doubles Final at Wimbledon in London on Sunday, sitting in the A-list Royal Box. The two looked a tad tense at times, amid recent claims that 'Beckham-style feud is brewing' between the retired tennis champion and his daughter Mia's rocker boyfriend in recent weeks. Lleyton, 44, was formally attired in a dark blue suit along with a dress shirt, and matching tie. Singer Bec, 41, chose a bright red frock and at times hid her famous face behind a pair of designer sunglasses. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The couple chatted throughout the match, but wore tense expressions, perhaps over what was happening on the court. It comes amid reports that Lleyton has concerns about the fast and loose lifestyle his eldest daughter Mia leads with her rock'n'roll boyfriend, Vanda Erich. Cruz Hewitt snaps at famous dad during Wimbledon boys' singles loss
Cruz Hewitt has snapped in frustration at his famous father during his second-round boys' singles defeat at Wimbledon . The 16-year-old son of Australian tennis legend Lleyton Hewitt was outclassed by Finland's No.11 seed Oskari Paldanius 6-3, 6-0 on Tuesday morning (AEST). Paldanius then capped his win by appearing to mock Cruz's dad's famous 'c'mon' celebration when the match was over, making the bitter pill of defeat even harder to swallow. Earlier, Cruz lost his temper at his father and support team when the match started slipping away. Lleyton was trying to coach his son from the sidelines when Cruz, in his frustration, accused him of 'acting for the cameras'. The teenager then snapped again when Lleyton offered another piece of advice. 'I tried that!' Cruz could be heard responding with. Trying to calm him down during the disastrous second set, Cruz's team tried to tell him 'everything is fine', to which he responded: 'It's not fine — it's nearly 4-0!' Hewitt had looked imperious in his first-round win over Russia's Savva Rybkin on Sunday, a performance which predictably drew comparisons to his father. 'Same backwards cap, same Yonex racket, same Nike heritage polo, same attitude. A carbon copy,' tennis commentator Bastien Fachan said. Another Aussie who has drawn comparisons to Lleyton Hewitt over his career is Alex de Minaur, who couldn't get past the colossal Novak Djokovic in the fourth round of the men's singles. It means the grasscourt season is over for him and his focus is moving to hardcourts, the US Open, and end-of-year ATP Finals. In particular the Australian No.1 knows he needs to pick up points to climb the rankings, without fixating on climbing the rankings, which he diagnosed as one of the causes of the burnout he felt after the French Open. De Minaur assessed his grass campaign 'as a tad disappointing', which is an understatement after a first round exit at Queen's and a fourth round loss to Djokovic at Wimbledon. He won three matches, lost two. Last year he won eight out of nine, winning the title at s'Hertogenbosch, which he declined to defend this year because he felt the need for a break after Roland Garros, and reaching the Wimbledon quarter-finals before being forced to quit through injury. Being drawn against seven-time winner Djokovic was unlucky, but only up to a point as his 11th-seeding left him vulnerable. 'I knew going into this tournament that there was a high chance I would be in a position like this,' he said. 'I didn't take care of business pre-Wimbledon to guarantee myself a top-eight seed and be somewhat protected until the quarters. I had to play Novak fourth round. 'It's not the best of draws,' he added ruefully. De Minaur reached the last eight in New York last year but did not play any warm-up events due to the hip injury suffered at Wimbledon, so hopes to climb the rankings. Post-Wimbledon he will be down to 12th in the world, 10th in the ATP 2025 standings, a place lower in both in the unlikely event of Flavio Cobolli winning the Wimbledon title. The top eight in the ATP rankings make November's Finals in Turin. 'The whole back end of the year I've got very little to defend,' he said. 'It's opportunity after opportunity for me. 'I'm hoping that the little bit of time off before (Wimbledon), a bit of time off after, I will put myself in a good position to finish the year strongly.' - With AAP
