Tender envelopes opened for Solar Power Station of Al-Bayda City Water Project
Sana'a – Saba: The Social Fund for Development (SFD) – Main Headquarters in Sana'a, today witnessed the opening of tender envelopes for the solar power station project for the Al-Bayda City Water Project, with a cost of $1.4 million, funded by the Dutch government and implemented by the Fund. The event was attended by Al-Bayda Governor and Chairman of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation, Abdullah Idris; Deputy Governor Nasser Al-Aji; Water Projects Officer at the SFD in Sana'a, Ahmed Ghamdan; and the General Director of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation, Abdulghani Al-Mukhtar. Governor Idris emphasized the importance of implementing the project to provide drinking water for citizens and alleviate their suffering amid the current difficult conditions in the country. He also expressed the local authority's readiness to overcome any obstacles to ensure the project's execution and improve water services for the residents of Al-Bayda city. For his part, Al-Mukhtar stated that implementing the solar power station for the city's water project is among the top priority projects, given its significant role in reducing the burden on residents. He pointed out that the project will help lower the costs of water production through the use of solar energy. He also confirmed that a lithium battery will be integrated into the hybrid operating system alongside solar power, marking the first use of this technology to reduce fuel consumption at the water pumping station. Hodeida Water Corporation organizes event to mark anniversary of Scream
Hodeida - Saba: The Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Hodeida province organized on Wednesday an event to commemorate the anniversary of the "Scream in the Face of the Arrogant" under the slogan "The Scream: A Weapon and a Position." Province undersecretary Ali Qashar stated that the Scream embodies a stance of faith and awareness of American and Israeli hegemony plans, reigniting the spirit of rejection against tyranny. He emphasized that Yemen's continued adherence to the Scream reflects steadfastness against aggression and embodies the Quranic project of the "martyr leader" Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi. The Corporation's Administrative Director, Mohammed Ayesh, highlighted the importance of this commemoration for service institution employees in enhancing awareness and fortifying against cultural infiltration. Qashar affirmed the Corporation's loyalty and commitment to service despite challenges. A speech by scholar Mohammed al-Wafi described the Scream as a way of life and a moral stance against falsehood, urging its inculcation within society as a spiritual weapon to expose enemies. Bayda oversees progress on Rada'a city sewage project
Bayda - Saba: Bayda governor Abdullah Idris on Saturday inspected the ongoing work on the sewage network project in al-Kamb neighborhood of Rada'a city. During the inspection, Governor Idris, received a detailed briefing from Abdulghani al-Mukhtar, the Director of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in the province. Al-Mukhtar explained the progress of excavation work, the readiness of pipes, sewage connections, project route lines, and the overall percentage of completion. Al-Mukhtar noted that the project entails the construction of a 7.5-kilometer sewage network for al-Kamb neighborhood, including connections to 198 inspection chambers and 188 manholes. The project is valued at $545,000 and is funded by UNOPS as part of the Water and Sanitation for Urban Cities Project. Governor Idris emphasized the significance of the project in serving the community, contributing to crucial infrastructure development, and providing essential sanitation services to densely populated residential areas within Rada'a city. He urged the implementing agencies to ensure the work adheres strictly to the agreed-upon technical specifications and is completed within the designated timeframe.
