Motorcyclist fighting for life after three-vehicle crash in Kingston
A motorcyclist is in a critical condition following a serious three-vehicle crash on the weekend.
Police said the collision occurred at about 6.15pm on June 15 on Kingston Road in Kingston, Queensland, when a silver 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer travelling north collided with the rear of an orange 2008 Suzuki motorcycle heading in the same direction.
The Mitsubishi then continued a short distance before striking a blue 2002 Toyota Camry waiting at a red light near the intersection of Opal Street.
It eventually crossed the median strip and came to rest in the southbound lanes.
The 44-year-old motorcyclist suffered 'significant head, chest and pelvic injuries' and was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition, police confirmed.
The 40-year-old male driver of the Mitsubishi was taken to Logan Community Hospital in a stable condition.
The 40-year-old female driver of the Camry was uninjured.
Investigations are ongoing, with police urging any witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to come forward.
