TV host Kelly Ripa has provided viewers with knowledgeable advice for over two decades, but her guidance as a mother is truly unmatched. The journalist was recently praised by her daughter, Lola Consuelos, whom she shares with husband Mark Consuelos, for her 'meaningful' fashion advice. 'Is there any piece of advice that I gave you when you were young that you thought was such bulls--t, and then you were like, 'Oh my God, my mom was right,'' Kelly, 54, asked Lola, 24, during the Wednesday, June 25, episode of the 'Let's Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa' podcast. That was amazing,' Lola admitted. Lola's answer was quite humorous, as she was wearing leggings during the podcast episode. However, she shared that she came straight from the gym. Beyond the materialistic advice, the 'Roles' singer shared that Kelly, who also shares sons Michael Consuelos and Joaquin Consuelos with Mark, 54, taught her to be 'respectful and kind.' "It's been really valuable and I forget that a lot of people don't get that foundational advice that should be like a baseline of respect," Lola said. "Some people don't have that, which blows my mind. But it's amazing that you guys raised the boys and I so amazingly." The 'Divine Timing' artist also reflected on a recent roadblock she faced, which she overcame by wise words she received from Kelly. "You were like, 'I'm telling you, when you stop giving that fluster-ness attention, it will all fall into place,'" Lola continued. "And I stopped giving that thing in my head attention. And lo and behold, everything got into place." Kelly and Mark have opened up about their parenting styles over the years and shared that they wanted to raise great human beings. "I think I had definitive ideas about raising girls versus raising boys, even though I don't really believe in gender stereotyping,' the family matriarch told People in 2020. 'My sons are just as sensitive as my daughter, and my daughter is as strong as my sons.' Lola Consuelos reveals the origin story of her relationship with Cassius Kidston
Kelly Ripa is welcoming her daughter's boyfriend with open arms. The 54-year-old talk show host was joined by her daughter, Lola Consuelos, whom she shares with husband Mark Consuelos, on the June 25 episode of her 'Let's Talk Off Camera' podcast. And Ripa shared her honest opinion about her daughter's relationship with Cassius Kidston. 'I love him,' Ripa said of Kidston. 'I love his family, we are very close.' Ripa then joked that she and Kidston's mother have 'a lot of conversations' about the young couple, to which her daughter replied: 'We have a lot of conversations about you two.' The mother-daughter exchange comes two months after Lola Consuelos and Kidston celebrated an anniversary. 'Another year of pure magic,' Lola Consuelos wrote in the caption of a photo dump of her and her boyfriend. 'You're heavenly.' Ripa shared her stamp of approval with two red heart emojis in the comment section, while Mark Consuelos commented, 'Congratulations,' with a string of party emojis. On her mother's podcast, Lola Consuelos opened up about the origin of her relationship with Kidston. 'We met on vacation,' Lola Consuelos said before admitting, 'But we did not like each other when we first met each other.' 'I say this to everyone that I meet,' she added, per E! News. 'I think the reason we don't find ourselves truly arguing that much is because we kind of got it all out of our systems when we first met each other.' Lola Consuelos went on to reveal that the pair grew up going on vacation to the same island with their families, but never met each other because they would vacation there at different times of the year. She further clarified that Kidston was from Switzerland, not the United States. It wasn't until the two were attending New York University that they were introduced through mutual friends. As they got to know each other, they learned about their shared past. 'It's so crazy because we have a lot of the same memories growing up at this place,' Lola Consuelos said on her mom's podcast, per People. 'We get very close to the locals, and they've known us both growing up individually and have watched us go from little kids to adults,' she continues. 'But probably would've never expected that Lola from New York, the little chunky cheek girl in her bikini, tanned and all would be dating this boy from Switzerland, pale and tall,' she added of the locals. The couple's shared past is a big reason why Lola Consuelos believes in the 'invisible string theory.' The theory proposes that everyone is connected to those they are meant to be with through an invisible, metaphorical string. It's a concept rooted in the belief of fate, destiny and pre-determination. 'We had just so many weird, intertwined things and people and all this stuff,' Lola said. 'Now we're almost dating for four years, which is insane.' The 'Divine Timing' singer was then asked how big that invisible string is — and whether or not she sees a diamond ring at the end of it. In response, Lola Consuelos alluded to the idea of being present vs. thinking about the future. 'Sometimes when you think about the future so much, it's because you feel that present moment with someone slipping away,' she explained. 'I think with my boyfriend and I we're so present with each other so of course, and we always say we would never date to break up,' she said before admitting, 'I 1,000 percent see future.' But if there is a diamond ring at the end of the invisible string, Kelly Ripa doesn't want her daughter to do what she did. During an April interview with People starring the mother-daughter duo, Ripa was opening up about eloping with her husband nearly three decades ago when the two got married in Las Vegas. When Lola Consuelos joked about doing the same, Ripa said she and her husband 'would literally die.' 'We would track her down and un-elope her!' Ripa joked, to which her daughter confirmed as accurate. In addition to Lola Consuelos, 24, Ripa and Mark Consuelos share two sons — Michael, 28, and Joaquin, 22.

Kelly Ripa 's daughter Lola has spoken candidly about how she was able to lean on her mother during a difficult period. The 24-year-old joined the latest episode of SiriusXM show Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa where she opened up about a particularly testing time in which she only had her parents to turn to. 'When I went to university my first year, I was not happy at all,' Lola explained. 'And also, it's so hard because your other friends that you grew up with in high school are also going through the same thing. 'They're at a new school for the first time and you don't really wanna bother them. 'But I was going through a bit of a thing and I really felt like the only people I could speak to were my parents. 'Like most cases, when you're growing up, your parents always telling you, "When you're older you're gonna wish you listened to me." 'And there's so many times in my life where I'm now like, oh my God, I completely get it.' Lola admitted that she leaned on her mom Kelly and dad Mark Consuelos a lot during that spell – and was grateful that she was able to. 'You know that your parents actually in most cases – and it's really sad if this is not the case – but in most cases, your parents actually have your best interest at heart,' she explained. 'I think parents have to grow as well and understand that when your child is an adult, now we can make our own decisions for ourselves. And live with them.' Besides their daughter Lola, Kelly and Mark also share sons Michael, 27, and Joaquin, 22. In April, Lola revealed that she wants to recreate one of her parent's saucy pictures with her boyfriend – although believes doing so will give dad Mark a 'heart attack.' Her parents set the internet alight in July 2021 when they uploaded a racy vacation snap to social media. In the photo, mom-of-three Kelly dressed in a black one-piece, bent over while looking towards the camera as her husband stood behind her with his mouth wide open looking at her rear. Lola declared that she also wants to recreate the snap for herself. 'I'm going to say one thing right now. What if — POV — I post [this] with my boyfriend,' Lola declared to her mom, before going on to ask, "What does Dad do?" 'Oh my gosh, that's a great idea,' Kelly responded. 'We should recreate it and see!' Mom Kelly added: 'It's my favorite photo I've ever taken.' 'It's just so unnecessary,' Lola remarked. In their joint interview with People for the publication's World's Most Beautiful issue, the presenter continued: 'What's important about this photo is that I took it with the timer on my cell phone, and I just couldn't believe that it came out that good or funny! '[Mark] was sort of walking behind and I was bending over and I'm like, 'I'm going to see if this timer thing works.' 'And it turned out to be a really cute photo.' And it's fair to say Lola is hellbent on copying the shot for herself with Cassius, her boyfriend. She added to the publication: 'No, I stand by [wanting] to recreate it with my boyfriend. And my dad is going to have a heart attack.'
