Thunderstorm watch in effect, Summer sun continues this week
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for parts of the region, including London-Middlesex, St. Thomas-Elgin County, Lambton, Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.
Isolated thunderstorms are also expected to develop this afternoon and track over the area — these thunderstorms are expected to move east of the area later this evening.
Summer heat continues through the week with humidex values pushing into the low to mid 30s.
Sunshine is expected on Wednesday with the chance of showers or thunderstorms later in the afternoon.
Sunshine continues into Thursday with another slight chance of morning showers and thunderstorms before ending the week and beginning the weekend back in the sun.
The normal high for this time of year is around 27 C and the low around 15 C.
