A Deep Dive Into Taylor Swift And Matty Healy's Relationship
One of Taylor Swift's more forgettable romances was with The 1975 frontman, Matty Healy. But there's one person who wants to make sure we remember it and that's Matty's mum, Denise Welch. Appearing on Watch What Happens Live , Denise of Loose Women fame was asked about her son's romantic tryst with the world's biggest pop star. 'Obviously, on pain of death can I talk about that episode,' she said, 'but being her mother-in-law is a role that I am glad that I lost.' When this warranted gasps from the audience Denise quickly added: 'Not that I have anything against her at all! It was just – it was tricky.' She explained that her issue with Taylor is that no one criticises her for fear of her fans' wrath, but Taylor is then free to pour her version of events out into the world via best-selling albums. 'You're not allowed to say anything, and then she writes a whole album about it,' explained the Loose Woman star, before praising her son for handling the situation 'in completely good grace'. If you're wondering why Denise Welch was on Watch What Happens Live to begin with and what actually happened between Taylor Swift and Matty Healy, then you've come to the right place. If you can even call it a relationship, Taylor and Matty dated for about a month in May 2023. Apparently they first exchanged numbers in November 2014 after a flirtatious exchange backstage at a 1975 concert in LA. Later that month, Taylor was spotted wearing the band's merch ahead of her performance at the American Music Awards and Matty was seen wearing a 1989 album t-shirt on stage. When asked if he was dating Taylor during an interview with Shazam Top 20, Matty said, 'I mean bloody hell, what am I going to do? Go out with Taylor Swift? She's a sensation, I wouldn't say no.' Things reached fever pitch in December when Taylor was spotted at another 1975 concert with her friend Karlie Kloss, but by January Matty came out to say the news was 'fake' and 'a farce'. He said, 'There's no relationship or anything happening. It's just funny how people really, really buy into that.' In 2016, Matty addressed the chaotic rumours once more. 'I don't do anything else [besides music], right, so it doesn't leave a lot of room for me going out, or shagging someone.' Speaking to Q magazine he added, 'So the one time I did have a flirtation with a girl it ends up going everywhere... I mean, I got on E! News and people were like, "Who's Matty Healy?" so that was cool.' 'If I had gone out with Taylor Swift I would've been, "F***ing hell! I am NOT being Taylor Swift's boyfriend." You know, "F*** THAT." That's also a man thing, a de-masculating [sic], emasculating thing.' There's the Welch/ Healy loose lipped gene coming into action. Following suitable backlash, Matty cleared his comments up once more. 'I have said on countless occasions that I found her to be one of the most gracious, hard working, creatively gifted, and beautiful women that I have had the pleasure to meet. I personally have a lot of respect and admiration for her. Why would I not? 'I didn't even date Taylor, but the media's incessant and brutal obsession with her has meant that even a guy who DIDN'T DATE HER has been so battered by their never-ending questions that he's inevitably said something that can be lifted and moulded into something that resembles "shade". It's really sad.' Then in January 2023, shortly before break up from Joe Alwyn was confirmed, Taylor performed at a 1975 concert and that May they briefly dated. The most insight we got into their fling was a few pictures of the singers holding hands in New York and Nashville. In June, a source told People, 'She had fun with him, but it was always casual. They are no longer romantically involved.' Several songs in The Tortured Poets Department are thought to be about Matty, including 'But Daddy I Love Him', 'Fresh Out the Slammer', 'Guilty as Sin?' and 'The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.' The song 'Fortnight' is also thought to be about The 1975 singer. Denise appeared on Andy Cohen's show to discuss the Real Housewives franchise, defend Harry and Meghan and to speak about her best and worst celebrity interviews of all time. She was there in the capacity of Loose Women host, but of course her famous son probably played a part in the booking too. IT'S important to do your research if you're thinking about having cosmetic surgery abroad. It can cost less than in the UK, but you need to weigh up potential savings against the potential risks. Safety standards in different countries may not be as high. No surgery is risk-free. Complications can happen after surgery in the UK or abroad. If you have complications after an operation in the UK, the surgeon is responsible for providing follow-up treatment. Overseas clinics may not provide follow-up treatment, or they may not provide it to the same standard as in the UK. Also, they may not have a healthcare professional in the UK you can visit if you have any problems. Source: NHS

Denise Welch says it may be her 'last Glastonbury' after 'overwhelming' moment
Denise Welch has admitted she may have attended her "last Glastonbury" following an "overwhelming" moment at the huge festival. The Loose Woman made the candid confession after watching The 1975 perform Actress and star of Loose Women Denise Welch admitted she may have attended her "first and last Glastonbury" following an "overwhelming moment" at the popular music festival. She took to Instagram to share her thoughts after attending the event on the weekend to see her son, Matty Healy, perform with his band The 1975, who headlined the Pyramid Stage on Friday evening. Despite leaving people torn, the band put on an epic performance, and clearly left Denise, 67, very proud for finally fulfilling their dream. She was left "overwhelmed" as she shared a heartfelt message with fans, and even offered some insights as to what the event was like. She wrote: "Seeing my son and his best friends go from playing in our garage to headlining Glastonbury was the most overwhelming and emotional experience. Surrounded by our family and closest friends, I'll never forget it. "I was so incredibly proud because I know how hard they have worked to get to and stay at the top of their game. As for the festival, I found it equally emotional and overwhelming trying to get around! "My first and probably my last Glasto, but I saw my son headline, had my face on flags and got chatted up by rappers in Greggs!!! I'm now back in my favourite place. In bed getting ready to watch 24 Hours in Police Custody. Peace." After Denise shared the post, fans were keen to share their thoughts and offer her support. Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor replied, saying: "Fabulous." Coleen Nolan also added: "Ahh Den what a fantastic post.. so happy for you and yes those boys deserve it all.. you must be so proud!" Someone else said: "Love him - he was absolutely amazing to watch and love his music - what talent (I am an older women by the way). Should I be having a crush like that on someone so young at my age?" Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "Oh Denise, what a weekend! It was a stunning performance, as usual. You should be SO proud of Matty - I am still not over JUST how lovely he was when we interrupted you both at the pub the other weekend. Absolutely made my whole year." The 1975, comprising Matty, Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald and George Daniel, took to the Pyramid Stage for their set. The band were the first headline act of the weekend, with Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo having also headlined at Worthy Farm in Somerset on Saturday and Sunday night respectively. Matty, 36, and his bandmates opened their set with their song Happiness. The the Brit Award winning band's setlist for Glastonbury later included singles like Chocolate, as well as other tracks such as Love Me and Paris. The set came to an emotional end when Matty was close to tears during the end of their track "About You", clearly overwhelmed by the experience. The staging for the set included occasional strobe lighting and various graphics on screen behind the band. A car was also visible on stage at one point, as frontman Matty opened the song Somebody Else whilst sat inside it, much like the music video. Despite some suggesting the crowd was "sparse," many fans were seen in the audience as people donned The 1975 t-shirts and sang along with the band. One fan wrote: "The 1975 at #Glastonbury has to go down as one of the greatest sets of all time. No debate." Another said: "The 1975 set list tonight has been INSANE, if you are at #Glastonbury tonight, I hope you're appreciating this." Someone wrote: "The 1975 you're smashing it as always. Great band live. Wish I was at Glastonbury." Meanwhile, another also chimed in with: "The 1975 were incredible, amazing set, loved it a lot!"
