Sandvik implements the first phase of restructuring initiatives in Machining
STOCKHOLM, June 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- On May 20, Sandvik announced that restructuring measures will be implemented in the business area Machining during the course of the 2025-2030 period (Sandvik Capital Markets Day: Advancing to 2030), aimed at driving operational efficiency, margin resilience and support growth opportunities. The measures include optimizing the structure of the organization and consolidation of productions units. Today, Sandvik announces the implementation of the first phase of these initiatives. The estimated annual savings from these measures is about SEK 380 million. Around 40% of the run-rate savings will be realized by the end of 2025 and 90% run rate will be achieved by the end of 2026. Costs related to the restructuring are expected to amount to SEK 570 million, which will be reported as non-recurring costs and as items affecting comparability in EBITA in the second quarter 2025. Of the total charge, approximately SEK 20 million are non-cash items and the remaining mainly refers to redundancies of some 350 employees in total. Sandvik completes the acquisition of Verisurf
STOCKHOLM, June 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandvik has completed the previously announced acquisition of Verisurf Software Inc. ("Verisurf"), a US-based 3D metrology software solutions provider. The company will be reported as a separate business unit within the business area Machining and Intelligent Manufacturing. Verisurf has 44 employees and is headquartered in Anaheim, California, US. In 2024, the company had revenues of approximately SEK 130 million (USD 12 million). The impact on Sandvik's EBITA margin and earnings per share will be limited. Sandvik wins major mining equipment order in Southeast Asia

The order is valued at around SEK 450 million and was booked in the first quarter 2025. The order includes development drills, cable bolters and load and haul equipment. Sandvik wins major order for underground mining equipment in Peru
STOCKHOLM, March 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandvik has been awarded a major order for a fleet of underground mining equipment from the Peruvian mining company Compañia de Minas Buenaventura (Buenaventura). The order is valued at approximately SEK 320 million and was booked in the first quarter 2025. The order includes loaders and drills, which will be used at three of Buenaventura's underground mines; El Brocal, Yumpag and Uchucchacua. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter 2025 and continue through the first quarter 2026. In addition to the equipment order, Sandvik will supply spare parts, components and maintenance service during the lifetime of the equipment.
