Med Quest Camp at BPCC to inspire youth students
BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Northwest Louisiana Healthcare Sector Partnership wants to inspire middle school students to consider healthcare careers.

Med Quest Summer Youth Camp is a week-long camp open to students who completed seventh grade during the 2024-2025 school year and will enter eighth grade in the fall. The camp provides an introduction to healthcare professions using interactive activities and demonstrations led by industry professionals.
The camp will introduce attendees to nursing, emergency medicine, laboratory science, and other fields. The camp will also connect campers with mentors and similarly interested peers.
The $75 camp will have two sessions, one from July 14-18 and one from July 21-25. Camp will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day on the Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) Bossier campus in Building B.
The deadline for registration is June 25 and requires a signed waiver, agreement to camp policies, and payment in full. Acceptance is limited to 30 applicants per session.

The Northwest Louisiana Healthcare Sector Partnership includes Bossier Parish Community College, Willis-Knighton Health System, Delta Pathology, David Raines Community Health Centers, Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, Louisiana Workforce Commission, Brentwood Hospital, CHRISTUS Health, North La Technical Community College, City of Shreveport, and The Coordinating & Development Corporation.
