Calorie Deficit Diet To Daily Movement: Nutritionist Shares 5 Ways To Burn Fat

Shedding weight is easier said than done. The process requires consistency, discipline and patience. Even then, the results are painfully slow. Stress, a poor sleep schedule, hormonal imbalance and mood disorders can further dampen the progress, making your weight loss journey seem like an uphill task. If you are struggling with something similar, then nutritionist Loveneet Batra is here to help you out. In her recent Instagram entry, the wellness expert has revealed that 'fat loss is not just about exercise', it's actually by following a 'simple home diet.' 5 Ways to burn 95 percent fat 1. Follow a calorie deficit – but make it sustainable Starving yourself slows your metabolism and leads to rebound weight gain, says Lovneet Batra. She recommends focusing on portion control and nutrient-rich foods, instead of extreme restriction. Eat enough to fuel your body while staying in a small calorie deficit. 2. Eat enough protein According to Lovneet Batra, protein keeps you full longer, preserves muscle mass, and supports metabolism. It's your best friend in any fat loss journey. Some protein-rich items to add to your meals include eggs, lentils, paneer, tofu and chicken. 3. Add more fibre to your plate The nutritionist shares that fibre keeps your digestion smooth, controls cravings, and reduces belly fat. For a fibre-packed diet, simply add fruits, vegetables, legumes, seeds and whole grains. 4. Prioritise quality sleep Lack of sleep can increase your hunger hormones (ghrelin). It also reduces satiety (leptin). People who get 7–8 hours of deep sleep have better appetite control, leading to enhanced fat burn and better hormonal balance. 5. Move more, sit less As per Lovneet Batra, sitting for more than six hours can increase fat storage even if you work out regularly. So, get up, stretch, move every hour and prioritise daily movement. 'Fat loss isn't about shortcuts or starvation. It's about daily habits around food, movement, sleep and balance,' she reveals. Beat Acidity This Summer With These Nutritionist-Recommended Foods

As the summer temperatures continue to rise, acidity spikes can be a common occurrence. It happens when your stomach produces too much acid, which causes a sharp burn in your throat or chest. When you develop acidity, also called heartburn, your stomach acid flows to the food pipe, irritating the lining. When acidity strikes, you might be tempted to drink cold drinks for immediate relief. But it can make the problem worse, making you feel bloated and nauseous. But fret not. You need not skip going out in the sun, as nutritionist Loveneet Batra has some useful tips for you. In her latest Instagram entry, Lovneet Batra shares four cooling foods that will help you keep acidity at bay. 'Struggling with acidity in the heat? Add these 4 cooling foods to your day and beat the burn this summer. Save this for your next meal plan!' reads her side note. Let's take a look. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovneet Batra (@lovneetb) Top 4 foods to beat acidity in summer 1. Mint tea According to Lovneet Batra, mint not only comes with refreshing and cooling properties, but the menthol in it relaxes your gut muscles, easing the digestion process and reducing acidity. The best time to consume mint tea is after a meal, especially post-lunch or dinner. 2. Broccoli sprouts Packed with vitamin C and K, with a rich source of fibre and antioxidants, broccoli sprouts help in detoxifying your body, boost immunity, support good gut health and flush out toxins. Loveneet Batra recommends having them with a meal, adding them to your lunch or dinner bowls and not on an empty stomach. 3. Bael juice Bael aka wood apple, also contains detoxifying elements that soothe the stomach and treat acidity. They, too, must be consumed alongside a meal. Squeeze 30 ml of bael in diluted water and sip the drink early morning before breakfast. 4. Aloe vera This natural acid relief formula coats and heals your stomach lining gently. Consuming unsweetened aloe vera juice 15-20 minutes before meals can work wonders for your body. Add these foods to your diet today to beat acidity this summer. Nutritionist Discusses Issue That Women Have With Thyroid And Infertility

Thyroid conditions, including hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) and hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid), might occasionally be linked to infertility in women, health experts say. While thyroid problems can affect reproductive health, they aren't always the main cause of infertility. A healthy diet, staying hydrated, and being active can help improve fertility. Nutritionist Loveneet Batra points out that thyroid imbalance is often overlooked as a cause of unexplained infertility, even if there are no clear symptoms. In her latest Instagram post, Loveneet Batra has explained that many women are unaware that ovulation can be disrupted by even minor thyroid-related issues, particularly subclinical hypothyroidism. Despite eating a balanced diet and using the right health tracking techniques, she has addressed a common worry among women: irregular menstruation and difficulties in conceiving. Loveneet Batra has mentioned that the reproductive hormones may not be coordinating properly, even though your periods appear to be regular enough. 'It's like your body is prepared... but the signal to release the egg isn't firing properly,' she said. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovneet Batra (@lovneetb) Many women think that their reproductive health can be maintained with just a healthy diet and vitamins. Even with these efforts, some women still experience irregular menstrual cycles. This can occur without the typical signs of losing hair, weight increase, or exhaustion; thus, it often goes undetected because of no symptoms. Nutritionist Loveneet Batra explained that your thyroid is a key player in your hormonal orchestra, and 'even the slightest off note can impact fertility.' The thyroid gland controls energy levels, metabolism, and many other body processes, including reproductive health. Ovulation can be impeded and ovarian function adversely affected by even a mild thyroid imbalance. Loveneet Batra has, thus, suggested undergoing certain tests if you are experiencing difficulties in conceiving and menstrual irregularities persist. In addition to the standard Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) test, one should consider Free T3 and Free T4, Vitamin D (essential for hormonal balance), TPO antibodies (to check for autoimmune thyroid disorders), and Prolactin (high levels can suppress ovulation). The nutritionist has advised that this information be shared with anyone who would find it useful to know how thyroid health and reproductive issues are related. People can work towards improving their reproductive health and resolving irregular menstruation cycles by being aware of these connections and taking the necessary actions.
