British Rapper Lowkey: MEMRI's Balochistan Project Is an Israeli Intelligence Op; Israel 'Siphons' Military Intelligence Alumni into Private Companies and State Functions Worldwide, Including London W
In a June 19, 2025 episode of the YouTube podcast Palestine Deep Dive, British hip-hop artist Lowkey claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has implemented a policy of systematically 'siphoning' alumni of military intelligence Unit 8200 into private companies, and they are 'now inserted into all manner of state function around the world.' He asserted that MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute), which he described as a 'key Israeli intelligence op,' launched a project supporting Balochistan's independence on the same day Pakistan made a 'pronouncement.' Lowkey was likely referring to a June 15, 2025 statement by former IRGC commander Mohsen Rezaee, in which Rezaee claimed that Pakistan had said it would launch a nuclear strike against Israel if Israel used a nuclear weapon on Iran. Lowkey also claimed that London's water system is managed by an Israeli-owned company staffed entirely by former Talpiot Unit members, who provide water flow data to Thames Water before the utility itself receives it. He questioned what impact such foreign military-trained personnel have on a nation's sovereignty. Finally, he claimed that Israelis are deeply involved in the Uighur issue in China, using it as leverage and a network of pressure points across various states.

Green Gathering Festival in Chepstow announces 2025 line-up
Green Gathering will roll into Piercefield Park, in Chepstow, from July 31 to August 3, 2025, with a line-up packed with music, fun, and environmentally-themed activities. British music icon Billy Bragg is set to headline the festival, with Lowkey, Martha Tilston, and Beans on Toast also performing. Other acts include Rusty Shackle, Sound of the Sirens, Seize the Day, The Trouble Notes, Ask My Bull, and many more. The Speakers' Forum is set to return with a programme including Green MP Ellie Chowns, climate scientist Professor Tim Lenton, XR co-founder Clare Farrell, and Karim Mussilhy, campaigner for Grenfell justice. Popular festival venues will return including the Soundscape Solar Stage, the Floating Lotus domes, and The Uncommon. The festival will have many activities and events for families, from face-painting to puppet making. There will also be an area for teens with music, trapeze, juggling, crafts, cookery, and campfires. The festival will also have free yoga sessions running all day. People will also be able to book a pre-pitched tent and cosy tipi or yurt or even a bed in a shared tipi dorm. Em Weirdigan, festival director, said: "The Green Gathering is more than a festival. "It's a living glimpse of a better world – a place where music, activism and community meet, all powered by renewable energy and the passion of those involved."

‘Better marketing than Barbenheimer': Internet reacts to Cardinals watching Conclave film for ‘guidance' before election
Edward Berger's Conclave seems to have touched a real chord with its own subjects. The 2024 release, which won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay in March, revolved around the secretive process of selecting a new pope. A new report from Politico now states that Catholic cardinals are now watching the film as a means of 'guidance' to know more about the process of elections, ahead of the election of the new Pope. (Also read: As Vatican awaits new Pope, Ralph Fiennes-starrer Conclave finds its way to OTT in India; here's where you can watch) As per the report, 'some of the 133 high-ranking clerics set to enter the Sistine Chapel when the conclave starts on Wednesday have looked to the Ralph Fiennes movie ― handily titled just Conclave ― for pointers.' Some of them even watched it in a theatre, added the report. As the report surfaced on social media, several users hilariously reacted to the meta-ness of this whole incident and added to the comments. One user commented, 'Conclave (2024) walked so that Conclave (2025) could run.' A second user said, 'LMAO I wanna go to the Conclave watch party with the cardinals.' 'Lowkey better marketing than Barbenheimer,' commented a fan. 'Will we get a Letterboxd review from them?' joked another fan. Another wrote, 'I think we should re-do the Oscars or nominate conclave again next year all this free promo can't go to waste this would've been a generational campaign 😭😭' 'Oh see this impact? this is why conclave should've won Best Picture,' said a fan. For the unversed, Conclave was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars this year but lost to Anora. Conclave follows Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes), who is tasked to head one of the world's most secretive and ancient events -- selecting the new Pope. After the sudden passing of the Pope, Cardinal Lawrence takes the reins of a high-stakes, covert process – but soon finds himself entangled in a web of secrets and conspiracies that could shake the very foundations of the centuries-old institution. Apart from Ralph Fiennes, the film also stars Stanley Tucci, Isabella Rossellini, Jacek Koman, Lucian Msamati, and John Lithgow. It is directed by Edward Berger and jointly written by Peter Straughan and Robert Harris. It is available to watch in India on Prime Video. Meanwhile, the Papal Conclave 2025 will start on Wednesday, May 7, with a total of 133 cardinals from different countries meeting inside the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City to choose the next pope, successor of Pope Francis.
