Love Island's Georgia Steel reveals surprise new career worlds away from reality TV
LOVE Island's Georgia Steel has revealed her surprising new career, which is worlds away from reality TV. The TV star, 27 - who appeared in both Love Island 's main version and All Stars spin-off - has revealed she has qualified for a new job, which may surprise some fans. 6 6 Georgia shot to fame in 2018 on the fourth season of the famous ITV2 dating show. Since then she has become a reality star veteran, and as well as Love Island All Stars and Love Island Games, she has also appeared on Celebs Go Dating and Ex on The Beach. But now she is moving away from reality television, and has revealed her surprising new career. In her latest Instagram post, Georgia announced she's now an officially qualified Pilates instructor. Posing in a white summer dress, and holding up her new qualification, she wrote: "Pinch me!!!! "Can't quite believe I'm a qualified Pilates instructor. "The most incredible day yesterday celebrating with family. "Feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now." Georgia's fellow Love Island stars rushed to congratulate her, with Joanna Chimonides saying: "Congratulations my angel girl!! Forever proud of you!!!" While Lucinda Strafford said: "Congratulations girlie!" And her best friend - and Love Island 2018 co-star - Dani Dyer wrote: "Well done baby!" SEXY SELFIE QUEEN But fans don't need to worry, Georgia will still be posting plenty of sexy selfies. In fact just before her Pilates post, the star stripped to a bridal-inspired lace bodysuit and matching robe as she posed for a series of glam Instagram snaps. In her thought-provoking social media caption, she put: "Simplicity is key always." Just before this sexy post, she stripped to red lingerie for another sizzling shoot. The Love Island USA season 7 cast doesn't have access to their phones while filming in Fiji — so who is posting from their social media accounts? The Peacock series, which premiered in the U.K. on ITV2 in 2002, follows a different group of singles every season who have to pair off in order to stay in the show's luxury villa. The contestants — who are referred to as Islanders — live in isolation and are under constant video surveillance. They must be coupled up to remain on the show and to stand a chance to receive the prize of $100,000. Love Island USA has similar rules to the OG series, which includes not having access to the outside world. Islanders can't bring their phones, they don't have clocks and they receive those famous texts on an entirely different device. Former star Lucinda Strafford clarified in a 2021 YouTube video that the device was largely limited to messaging. Islanders could text one another, but producers were able to see their correspondence. The glitzy bash aims to celebrate the very best of British broadcasting, and attracts stars from across the UK. 7 7 7 The awards celebrate talent from across TV, radio and online with a focus on praising "diverse talent" in UK broadcast media. Famous faces from screen and audio attend the awards, alongside other people from the industry. For this year's TRIC Awards, Love Island 's Tasha and Lucinda pulled out all the stops. Tasha opted for a a denim suit which matching crop top, while Lucinda looked stunning in her bejewelled backless dress. EastEnders star Molly Rainford shimmered in her metallic gown. While Strictly Come Dancing 's Nadiya Bychkova looked chic in her monochrome dress. Other stars there included best pals Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson who, of course, arrived together. This year's awards were hosted by Channel 5 's Dan Walker, who is also the current president of the prestigious event. They were held at London 's posh Grosvenor House. The TRIC Awards - which stands for Television and Radio Industries Club - were launched in 1931, and have been held annually since 1969. Winners range from soap stars to breakfast TV presenters - and everything in between. Trophies are handed out for honours such as Soap Of The Year, Best Entertainment Programme and Best Daytime Show. Lucinda has now made up her mind to never enter the Love Island compound again. She sat down for a chat with GK Barry on her Saving Grace podcast, and was asked what's in store for her next. Lucinda replied: 'Well I decided not to go on Love Island again. 'I kind of want to just travel. Not as much, I want to buy a house … "Apart from that maybe find a boyfriend. I think this is the time when I should probably have one. I dunno, I'm 25.' Grace reassured her: 'You have time!' A source told The Sun earlier this year: "Lucinda was asked to come and do Love Island again and she was really ready to give it another go. "But she ended up being in holding for too long and wasn't happy about it." They added: "It was a tough call but she decided to head home. She thinks it's for the best and this season just wasn't for her." EXCL Love Island chaos as star QUITS and flies home to the UK Lucinda also appeared to address her U-turn in a video on TikTok, saying: "If something feels off, it most definitely is off, you know yourself more than anyone else. "So definitely make sure to trust your gut. Also, if things are out of your control, let it have freedom of your mind, there's nothing you can do about it." Elsewhere on Grace's pod, the I'm A Celeb star quizzed Lucinda on her loyalty and asked if she'd ever been unfaithful in a relationship. Lucinda responded: "What would you say is cheating? Is messages cheating? OK. Then yeah. "Well like, I'm not going to lie, the thing is that I've had certain ex boyfriends that have gone on this whole thing of me 'cheating' and it was literally two messages that were not very flirty at all just 'nice to see you' messages. "And then we did argue and I apologised and that was that. "I personally don't think they're cheating. I didn't hide them. "It was something like next time a guy messages me I am going to be honest and say by the way this guy messaged me, and I messaged him back it was very short. "I've learned from my mistakes." Lucinda shot to fame when she appeared on the reality-dating show in 2021. As an islander in season seven, Lucinda entered as a bombshell on day nine before being dumped on day 28. During her time on the show Lucinda was coupled up with three different guys including Danny Bibby, Brad McClelland and Aaron Francis. After her UK Love Island stint, Lucinda headed down under for Love Island Australia around one year ago.
