Dierks Bentley's New Album Suffers A Disappointing Start On The Charts

Dierks Bentley's Broken Branches misses the Billboard 200, marking the first time a major label ... More album of his has failed to chart on the main tally. NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - JUNE 08: (EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Dierks Bentley performs during CMA Fest 2025 at the main stage at Nissan Stadium on June 08, 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee. (Photo by Taylor Hill/FilmMagic) For years, Dierks Bentley was regarded as one of the biggest names in country music. For well over a decade, every time he released a new full-length, it rocketed straight into the top 10 on many of Billboard's albums charts, and every project became a bestseller. The singer-songwriter reached a new low with his previous album in 2023, but it's his latest set that truly disappoints, as it arrives — or more accurately, misses — important rankings. Dierks Bentley Misses the Billboard 200 Bentley released his new album Broken Branches on June 13. Now that its first full tracking frame has passed, the project debuts on a handful of Billboard lists. Sadly, it completely misses the Billboard 200, the main ranking of the most consumed full-lengths and EPs in the U.S. Luminate reports that the last title on the Billboard 200 this week, the Moana soundtrack, shifted 8,500 equivalent units. That means Bentley's latest project didn't quite move that many copies in its first week of availability, as its opening sum was not shared by the data company. A Career First: Dierks Bentley Misses the Main Chart Bentley has never seen one of his major label albums fail to crack the Billboard 200. His debut full-length Don't Leave Me in Love, which dropped in 2001 on an independent label, never charted. His 2003 self-titled follow-up — his first for Capitol Nashville — rose to No. 26 and was eventually certified platinum. The singer-songwriter's next eight projects all reached the Billboard 200's top 10, with Black bringing him to the runner-up space, his all-time peak. Gravel & Gold, which arrived in February 2023, missed the mark as it peaked at No. 73. That still stands as his career-low point on the Billboard 200, as his latest doesn't even make it onto the tally. Broken Branches Finds Some Success Broken Branches does manage to debut on both the Top Album Sales and Top Country Albums charts. On those rankings, Bentley's latest opens at Nos. 27 and 41, respectively. Luminate reports that the country artist's new set sold a little more than 3,800 copies in its first seven days of availability, which places it almost perfectly in the middle of the 50-spot Top Album Sales roster.

‘Love Island USA' Season 7 Sets New Bar For Series, Soaring Past 1B Minutes Viewed In Week After Debut, Per Luminate

Love Island USA has undeniably elevated its profile since last year's bombshell of a season. The series returned with Season 7 on June 3 and by the end of the following week it was the second most-watched streaming show on television. From June 6 to 12, the season racked up 1.2B minutes viewed across nine available episodes, per Luminate's streaming data. More from Deadline 'Fubar' Season 2 Debut Barely Makes Netflix Weekly TV List Amid Steep Audience Decline As 'Ginny & Georgia' Remains On Top 'The Mortician' Becomes HBO's Most-Watched Documentary Series In Over 5 Years Streaming Hits New High, Surpassing Broadcast & Cable TV Viewing In May For First Time, Nielsen Says That's a 244% increase over the week prior, when the first few episodes drew about 335M minutes viewed. However, the most impressive gains are season-over-season. Season 6 outperformed every prior season of the show by a mile, but it wasn't until around the second week of July (which was about a month into the season's six-week run) that it really took off. In fact, Luminate reported that Season 6 had tallied 500.7M minutes viewed the week of June 21. Since Season 6 premiered on June 11, the timing is a bit off, but that's about 15 available episodes drawing half the weekly viewership that Season 7 has with nine. Season 6 didn't crack a billion minutes viewed until the week of July 8. Things have been heating up very quickly on Season 7 of Love Island USA, which airs nearly in real time. So, it is likely that the viewership will keep increasing, especially given that some of the series' signature and highly anticipated twists like Casa Amor and Movie Night have yet to happen. It will be interesting to see how far the show will go and whether it'll completely surpass Season 6's viewership high. Also, Love Island UK has also launched in the week since this data was recorded, which could affect Love Island USA viewership as well, since there is a bit of overlap in the audiences. Whether the impact will be positive or negative remains to be seen. The two could encourage increased engagement given that overlap, or it could end up fueling a bit of fatigue, since both shows air new episodes six days a week. The one thing that is clear is that Season 6 definitely catapulted the U.S. iteration of the reality dating series to unprecedented levels of popularity. The show's meteoric rise last season is likely due to a few factors. The cast does seem to have captured audience interest in a way that previous casts did not. That explains why Peacock has granted a whole new reality series to that cast, setting Love Island: Beyond the Villa to debut in July. Additionally, Vanderpump Rules' Ariana Madix also joined the series as its host last season, which undoubtedly elevated its profile as well. And, of course, last season's drama had social media, particularly TikTok, ablaze with commentary, which likely was a driving force behind increased engagement. Love Island USA is produced by ITV America. The series is based on a format owned by Lifted Entertainment and GroupM Motion Entertainment and distributed by ITV Studios. Luminate is owned by Deadline's parent company, Penske Media Corporation. Morgan Wallen's ‘I'm the Problem' Rules Billboard 200 for Fifth Straight Week

Morgan Wallen's I'm the Problem rules the Billboard 200 albums chart for a fifth consecutive, and total, week, as the set holds atop the chart dated June 28. The album earned 186,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the tracking week ending June 19 (down 11%), according to Luminate. The album debuted at No. 1 on the chart dated May 31. With 186,000 units earned, Problem lands the largest fifth week for an album since Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department earned 378,000 in its fifth week (June 1, 2024-dated chart). More from Billboard Nicole Scherzinger Gives Surprise 'Buttons' Performance at Broadway Bares Live Aid to Be Re-Broadcast for 40th Anniversary on U.K. Radio Lana Del Rey Taps Addison Rae, BANKS and London Grammar for U.K. Stadium Tour Problem is also the first album to spend its first five weeks at No. 1 since Poets perched in the top slot for its first 12 weeks at No. 1 (in May-July of 2024), of its total 17 weeks at No. 1. Problem is the first album by a man to spend five weeks at No. 1 (in total, or, from its debut) since Wallen's last album, One Thing at a Time, spent its first 12 weeks at No. 1 (in March-June of 2023), of its total 19 weeks at No. 1. Also in the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200, ATEEZ notch their seventh top 10 with the No. 2 debut of GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3, Lil Tecca scores his highest charting album yet with the No. 3 launch of DOPAMINE, and Brandon Lake earns his first top 10 with the No. 7 bow of King of Hearts. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new June 28, 2025-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard's website on June 25. For all chart news, follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram. Of I'm the Problem's 186,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending June 19, SEA units comprise 176,000 (down 11%, equaling 229.99 million on-demand official streams of the set's songs — it leads Top Streaming Albums for a fifth week), album sales comprise 9,000 (down 12% — it rises 9-7 on Top Album Sales) and TEA units comprise 1,000 (down 6%). ATEEZ achieve their seventh top 10 album on the Billboard 200, as GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3 debuts at No. 2 with 105,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, album sales comprise 101,500 (it debuts at No. 1 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 3,000 (equaling 4.07 million on-demand official streams of the set's five songs) and TEA units comprise 500 units. GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3 was available in its first week across 12 CD editions, all with the same audio but with packaging variations. Some editions were signed, and all contained collectible paper ephemera, some randomized. At No. 3 on the Billboard 200, Lil Tecca scores his highest-charting album ever, and fifth top 10, as DOPAMINE debuts with 48,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, SEA units comprise 45,000 (equaling 65.31 million on-demand official streams of the set's songs — it debuts at No. 2 on Top Streaming Albums), album sales comprise 3,000 and TEA units comprise a negligible sum. Lil Tecca had previously gone as high as No. 4 with We Love You Tecca in 2019. DOPAMINE was issued as a standard 17-song album via streaming services, and was available to buy as a download, CD and in five deluxe CD boxed sets (each containing a branded T-shirt and a copy of the album on CD). All of the CD iterations were exclusively sold via the artist's official webstore. In the midst of its first week, the album was reissued with four bonus tracks, and that iteration was exclusively sold as a download in his webstore. DOPAMINE was preceded by two Billboard Hot 100-charting songs: 'Dark Thoughts' (which hit No. 28 in April) and 'Owa Owa' (No. 50 earlier this month). The former marked the second top 40-charting song for the rapper, and first since 'Ran$om' hit No. 4 in 2019. A trio of former No. 1s is next on the Billboard 200, as SZA's SOS rises 5-4 (nearly 48,000 equivalent album units; up 9%), Wallen's One Thing at a Time climbs 8-5 (40,000; up 3%), and Sabrina Carpenter's Short n' Sweet steps 7-6 (39,000; down 3%). Brandon Lake notches his first top 10 album on the Billboard 200 — and first top 40-charting set — as his new project, King of Hearts, bows at No. 7 with 37,500 equivalent album units earned. He charted just one album previously, with the No. 135-peaking Coat of Many Colors in 2023. The new album boasts his first Hot 100 hit, 'Hard Fought Hallelujah,' which reached No. 40 on the May 3, 2025, chart. The track has also logged 22 weeks atop the Hot Christian Songs chart, through the most recently published chart, dated June 21. Lake has placed a total of 43 entries on that chart since his debut on the list in 2019, including six No. 1s. King of Hearts earned 37,500 units in its first week (Lake's best week by units earned). Of that sum, album sales comprise 20,000 (his best sales week ever — it debuts at No. 3 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 16,500 (equaling 22.06 million on-demand official streams of the set's songs — it debuts at No. 30 on Top Streaming Albums) and TEA units comprise 1,000. King of Hearts additionally logs the largest week, by units, for a Christian music-genre album in three-and-a-half years, since Ye's Donda earned 38,000 units on the Oct. 16, 2021-dated chart. King of Hearts is the highest-charting Christian music album — and first top 10 — since for KING + COUNTRY's What Are We Waiting For? debuted and peaked at No. 7 on the March 26, 2022-dated chart. (Christian music albums are defined as those that are eligible for, or have charted on, Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart.) King of Hearts was issued as a standard 16-song album (via streamers, as a widely available digital download album and on CD and vinyl). He also sold a signed CD via his webstore and Walmart carried a version of the album on CD with a bonus track. During the album's first week, it was issued in a deluxe edition, widely via streamers and digital download services, which added eight bonus tracks. Closing out the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200 are Kendrick Lamar's chart-topping GNX (rising 10-8 with 34,000 equivalent album units earned; down 6%), Wallen's former leader Dangerous: The Double Album (bumping 13-9 with 32,000; up 6%) and PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake's $ome $exy $ongs 4 U (11-10 with 30,500; down 7%). Alex Warren's ‘Ordinary' Adds Third Week at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

Alex Warren's 'Ordinary' rebounds for a third week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Stadium Tour The singer-songwriter's first Hot 100 leader returns to the top, from No. 2, a week after Sabrina Carpenter's 'Manchild' soared in at the summit. Carpenter's second chart-topper dips to No. 2 in its second week. Concurrently, 'Ordinary' takes over as the most-heard hit on radio, becoming Warren's first No. 1 on Billboard's Radio Songs chart. The single, which Warren co-wrote, spends a fourth week at No. 1 on the Adult Pop Airplay list and a second week at No. 1 on Pop Airplay, while reaching the top 10 (11-9) on Adult Contemporary. ('Ordinary' dethrones Doechii's 'Anxiety' on Radio Songs after the latter led the past five weeks; 'Anxiety' hit No. 9 on the Hot 100 in May.) Browse the full rundown of this week's top 10 below. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. All charts (dated June 28, 2025) will update on tomorrow, June 24. For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram. Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes a thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings. Luminate reviews and authenticates data. In partnership with Billboard, data deemed suspicious or unverifiable is removed, using established criteria, before final chart calculations are made and published. 'Ordinary' tallied 20.4 million official streams (down 3% week-over-week), 61.5 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 14%) and 7,000 sold (down 2%) in the United States June 13-19. As the track ascends 3-1 on Radio Songs, it drops to No. 2 after seven weeks atop the Digital Song Sales chart and holds at No. 4 on Streaming Songs, following four weeks at No. 1. 'Ordinary' is also the hottest hit on the Songs of the Summer chart for a fourth frame, having led each week since the seasonal survey made its annual return. This o-bservation from chart-watcher Pablo Nelson: 'Yes, the category here is rather specific: For all the Hot 100 No. 1s whose titles are one-word adjectives – from 'Amazed' by Lonestar to 'Windy' by The Association – 'Ordinary' is the first to begin with the letter 'O.' ' Per that official stat, however obscure (but original!), one-word Hot 100 No. 1 titles, adjectives or not, continue to be fairly prominent in recent years, influenced by social media, among other factors. 'Ordinary' is the third such leader this year, joining Sabrina Carpenter's 'Manchild' and Kendrick Lamar and SZA's 'Luther.' Three one-word titles also ruled the Hot 100 in both 2024 and 2023, following two in 2022, five in 2021 and a single-year record 10 in 2020. Carpenter's 'Manchild' descends to No. 2 in its second week on the Hot 100. It drew 21.1 million streams (down 22%), 16.8 million in radio audience (up 20%) and 3,000 sold (down 83%). It surges to the top 20 on both Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay. Morgan Wallen's 'What I Want,' featuring Tate McRae, holds at No. 3 on the Hot 100, after it launched in May as Wallen's fourth No. 1 and McRae's first. It rebounds for a fourth week atop Streaming Songs (21.7 million, down 2%) and notches a fifth week at No. 1 on the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart. Wallen follows on the Hot 100 with the No. 2-peaking 'Just in Case,' which keeps at No. 4, and 'I'm the Problem,' which is steady at No. 6 – as Wallen logs his fifth week with at least three simultaneous top 10s this year, matching Kendrick Lamar for the most. Wallen's I'm the Problem, the parent set of all three of his current top 10s, claims a fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Lamar and SZA's 'Luther' repeats at No. 5 after 13 weeks atop the Hot 100 beginning in March. It adds a 26th week at No. 1 on both the multimetric Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, extending the longest command on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (dating to October 1958, when the chart became the genre's all-encompassing songs ranking). Shaboozey's 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' stays at No. 7 on the Hot 100, following its record-tying 19 weeks at No. 1 beginning last July, and Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' 'Die With a Smile' is stationary at No. 8 after five weeks at No. 1 beginning in January. Teddy Swims' 'Lose Control,' which led the Hot 100 for a week in March 2024, and became the year's No. 1 song, remains at No. 9. It posts a record-extending 66th week in the top 10 and a record-padding 96th week on the chart overall. Rounding out the Hot 100's top 10, Benson Boone's 'Beautiful Things' is a non-mover at No. 10, after it reached No. 2. Love Island USA Season 7 Claims Over 1 Billion Minutes Streamed

is taking over our lives yet another summer, and we can't be mad about it. Season 7 is riding the high of last year's fan-favorite group of Islanders, and they had big shoes to fill. Thankfully, the singles came to Fiji with a mission — make connections and stir up a little drama. From Huda Mustafa and Jeremiah Brown's whirlwind relationship to Ace Greene and Amaya Espinal's frenemy-ship, there's been a lot to take in so far. Apparently, fans are so obsessed with Love Island that we're watching a record-breaking amount of episodes. In a span of less than a week, Love Island USA had 1.2 billion minutes streamed across the nine episodes available, Deadline reports. Luminate looked at streaming minutes from June 6 to 12 to determine the total. It's the second most-watched streaming show on TV. So, fans are obsessing over tuning in to see what tricks Ariana Madix has up her sleeves next. That definitely makes us feel better about our TV watching habits. It's hard to believe that fans have already watched a billion minutes, and the season hasn't even been on for three weeks yet. That means thousands of people have witnessed antics like Taylor Williams bursting out of his straps after being seduced by Olandria Carthen. It's also a whole lot of people who have seen Huda crash out. Yikes. It took Season 6 nearly a month to crack a billion minutes viewed, so Season 7 is off to a strong start. Surely, with the way things are going in the villa these days, it won't take us long to rack up another billion minutes on this season alone. Love Island USA Season 7 is available to stream on Peacock. TELL US – ARE YOU SURPRISED THAT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE TUNING INTO LOVE ISLAND SEASON 7? DO YOU PREFER SEASON 6 OR 7 OF THE SHOW SO FAR?
