Selena Gomez's fragrance bottle designed with help from rehab facility and hand therapists, Entertainment News

Selena Gomez's fragrance bottle was designed with the help from a rehab facility and hand therapists. The Only Murders in the Building actress' Rare Beauty brand will launch Rare Eau de Parfum next week. Because of the dexterity issues she suffers with as a result of auto-immune condition Lupus, Selena wanted to make sure the packaging was inclusive so she brought in experts, including the Casa Colina clinic, engineers and certified hand therapists, to offer input on the design. She told WWD: "I have dexterity problems from my lupus, so sometimes it's hard for me to open a bottle of water or do anything. "Sometimes I've had to use a spray and, like, put both my fingers on it. It's not as sad as it sounds. I'm alive, and that's all that matters." The 33-year-old star quietly tested the fragrance personally and used everyday moments to obtain reactions to the scent. She explained: "It was really funny, because sometimes I would accidentally — I would accidentally or purposefully, I should say — get close to people and see if they could smell anything. "I would just flat out ask everyone I was around. I would tell them what it is, and say, 'What do you think?'" Selena — who is engaged to Benny Blanco — wanted to reflect her contentment in both her personal and professional lives with the fragrance. She said: "Some of my best memories were when I was creating this, in our little test tube, when I got engaged, when I got to celebrate my birthday, 32nd birthday. "It was just something that made me feel like a piece of me. And I wanted everyone to enjoy it. I was hoping that it would embody the place of life that I'm in." Although Rare Beauty hasn't released a fragrance before, Selena released two scents through a partnership with Adrenalina Inc. when she was just 19 years old but she doesn't "even remember" what they were like. She reflected: "I was so young. "The sweetest thing — a few months ago, [I saw] someone had saved the box that my [first] fragrance was in. It's so long ago, I couldn't help but laugh, because it had just been a trying time in my life where I really was trying hard to be cool. "I don't even remember what it smells like. I don't think it would be anything I'd wear now. This is definitely more me." [[nid:720486]]

Mariah Carey Reveals Rare Truth About Co-Parenting With Ex Nick Cannon: 'How Do I Say This?'

Mariah Carey Reveals Rare Truth About Co-Parenting With Ex Nick Cannon: 'How Do I Say This?' originally appeared on Parade. Mariah Carey is opening up about co-parenting with her ex-husband Nick Cannon. The singer, 56, shares 14-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Cannon, 44. Cannon has since welcomed 10 additional children following the birth of the twins. "How do I say this?" Carey said during an interview with Harper's Bazaar published Monday, July 29. "They spend time with him, and they have a good time; they spend time with me, and they have a good time." "I want to make sure I'm always fair about the situation because it's tough to grow up with divorced parents." she continued. The moment marked a rare occasion in which Carey addressed her relationship with Cannon, whom she divorced in 2016 after 8 years of marriage. Cannon, for his part, has spoken about the dynamic with the mother of his first two children. In August, he admitted to E! News that he would "absolutely" get back together with his ex-wife, saying, "We belong together." He also shared insight into his mindset during the marriage in an episode of the Ray Daniels Presents podcast in October. "I got married in my 20s to the biggest star in the world," Cannon said. "I would lay up at night thinking, 'Is this who I am? Am I Mariah's man? Is that what my life's supposed to be?'" He continued, "There's nothing wrong with it. And I got really comfortable in it. She got islands, I'm waking up at noon and I'm being served steaks on a platter." He added that the birth of the twins put things into a new perspective. "Then when you have children and the hierarchy of man s--t is like 'Wait, I'm carrying the purse, the diaper bag and I'm standing on the corner waiting,'" he explained. "She's rocking being all the alpha that she is." Cannon said he also began to wonder if his own accomplishments, including his role as chairman at Nickelodeon and at Island Def Jam, were only because of his wife's connections. He also credits his diagnosis with Lupus and the realization that he had "so much to do" with shifting his mindset. "That's probably why I have 12 kids now." he joked. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 Mariah Carey Reveals Rare Truth About Co-Parenting With Ex Nick Cannon: 'How Do I Say This?' first appeared on Parade on Jul 29, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jul 29, 2025, where it first appeared. In a lengthy emotional post, the pop icon, who is struggling with a virus while on tour wrote: "Things at home with my parents? " ‌ He said: "Outside of that? I have nothing. There is nothing to offer. I don't mind stating to those around me, I need protecting. And in return I protect them." Reassuring fans of his dedication to make every show as amazing as the other, he declared that he would be "on top of his game" but claimed: "Outside of that - I have nothing to offer or give, for the time being." His candid and honest post comes after he recently paid tribute to his family while on stage and stated that he "isn't ready for it", in reference to his mother's inability to remember him. ‌ Speaking to the crowd, he said: "My mother has dementia and she doesn't know who I am anymore. She doesn't know where she is anymore. My dad has Parkinson's and he can't leave the house." He went on to say: "He used to sing with me every night on stage, he would come out, steal the show and be charming and then wander backstage for a glass of red wine. " Robbie explained: "Now he can't leave the house. My mother-in-law, who I absolutely worship and adore, has three illnesses. "She's for lupus, Parkinson's and cancer. She is the most courageous lady and she is fighting, fighting, fighting," he said. He concluded his address to the crowd: "It's a strange place to be, this place we find ourselves, 51 years old, it's very strange to be the grown up. I'm not ready for it."
