Unreleased Drake & Playboi Carti Collaboration Previewed By DJ Swamp Izzo

Drake and Playboi Carti have another collaboration in the stash. DJ Swamp Izzo premiered the unreleased track at an After Hours Til Dawn Tour afterparty at Zouk nightclub in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (June 25). While Izzo gave fans a taste of the collaboration, neither Drake nor Carti's teams have announced plans to release the track as of press time. More from Billboard Benson Boone Scores First ARIA Albums Chart No. 1 With 'American Heart' KATESEYE Release New EP 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS': Stream It Now Lorde Summer Is Upon Us As Pop Star Releases Latest Album 'Virgin': Stream It Now The Carti-Drizzy track features a sample of Luther Vandross' cover of Dionne Warwick's 'A House is Not a Home,' which was sped up by Kanye West and used on 'Slow Jamz.' Ye's 'chipmunk soul' version is the one heard on the new link-up. Akademiks appears to have spoken about the track in question during a recent live stream, which saw him claim that he talked to Drake about it, who said it was originally slated to land on For All the Dogs, but didn't end up making the cut. Playboi Carti and Drake joined forces for the Pi'erre Bourne-produced 'Pain 1993,' which landed on Drizzy's Dark Lane Demo Tapes in 2020. There's also a version of the 6 God's 'No Face' with a Carti verse, but the Atlanta rapper was removed from the official streaming edition. Drake is said to be hard at work on his anticipated new solo album, while Carti has continued to tease his Baby Boi project, which Cardo confirmed is a 'real thing,' but wasn't sure if the effort was finished. So there is still a sliver of hope that the unreleased collab will find its way to streaming services in the future. Include his favorite snacks and beverages to enhance the experience. Engage in a DIY Project Together: Whether it's building a birdhouse, assembling furniture, or tackling a home improvement task, working on a project together can be a rewarding bonding experience. Plan an Outdoor Adventure: Organise a hike, picnic, or camping trip to enjoy nature and spend quality time together. For a unique twist, consider stargazing or a sailing expedition. Curate a Personalized Playlist: Compile a mix of songs that reflect his personality and your relationship. Include tracks like 'Dance With My Father" by Luther Vandross or 'Papa Mere Papa" to evoke cherished memories. Treat Him to a Spa Day: Create a relaxing atmosphere at home with scented oils, soothing music, and perhaps a foot soak or massage. Alternatively, book a professional spa treatment to pamper him. Give Back Together: Spend part of the day volunteering for a cause he cares about, such as helping at a local shelter or organizing a community event. Host a Surprise Party: Invite close family and friends for a celebration featuring his favorite foods, games, and activities. Tailor the theme to his interests to make it extra special. Write a Heartfelt Letter: Express your gratitude and love through a handwritten letter, highlighting specific moments and qualities that make him special. This personal gesture can be a cherished keepsake. Here's wishing all dads and fatherly figures a very Happy Father's Day 2025!

SZA urges child to ditch whippets for selfie as she criticises drug targeting on social media

SZA has shared a personal moment of concern and action after persuading a young person to give up a nitrous oxide canister in exchange for a selfie. The singer took to Instagram to recount the drive-through encounter, where she noticed the child using 'whippet' drugs and offered a picture and video instead. Sharing a photo of herself holding the colourful canister, SZA wrote, 'Literally talked a CHILD into throwing away his whippet drugs in exchange for a picture/video at the in n out drive through.' 'Sad but if I can stop this shit for even a second imma try,' she continued. Photo: Instagram Nitrous oxide, often called 'laughing gas,' is inhaled recreationally and can cause brief euphoria but poses serious health risks, including lung damage and oxygen deprivation. While SZA's post highlighted the troubling drug use among youth, her week also brought career highs. Her hit song Luther, in collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, has now spent 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single, which samples Luther Vandross, is Kendrick's sixth and SZA's third chart-topper. The duo recently performed Luther and other collaborations at the Super Bowl halftime show and on their Grand National tour. Their Seattle show at Lumen Field sold over 60,000 tickets and grossed $14.8 million, setting a new hip-hop concert record.
