Oakland, California Imam Faheem Shuaibe: Israel Is Running The Longest Con In History – It Did Not Start On October 7, 2023; Israel's Mark Is The U.S. Government; Israelis Are Not The People Of Jacob

California Imam Faheem Shuaibe said in a Friday, July 4, 2025 sermon at Waritheen Mosque in Oakland, California that there is a con taking place in which Israel is the con and the U.S. federal government is the mark. He elaborated that this con did not start on October 7, 2023 or in the year 2000, but is actually the "longest of the long cons." He also asserted that "those people" in the State of Israel are not the people of Jacob and Isaac, that they are "somebody else," that they don't have any of the attributes that would indicate a fulfillment of a divine promise returning them to their land, and that the original people have already "passed away." Imam Shuaibe's sermon was livestreamed on the Waritheen Mosque's YouTube channel. Imam Faheem is the resident imam and scholar at Waritheen Mosque, and the founder of the Muslim American Research Institute Advocating Marriage (M.A.R.I.A.M.) and the Sacred Life Project. Imam Faheem Shuaibe: "This long con that you already know I'm talking about – it didn't start October 7 [2023]. It didn't start in the year 2000. [...] "No, this has been going on for a very long time. This is the longest of the long cons, and this is the end game that we're in right now. [...] "The State of Israel is the con. The U.S. federal government is the mark. [...] "Those people over there, in and called the State of Israel, are not the people of Jacob, Isaac, Ishmael, et cetera, Allah's peace and mercy and blessings be on them. They are somebody else. [...] "They don't have any sort of the attributes of the Scripture that says would be realization of the return, or of the promise of God. [...] "That was a people who passed away."
