Paired up with Adrian Araouzou on the hit Channel 9 and E4 series, things were not rosy for Awhina with it ending on bad terms by the end of the experiment. Meanwhile, Billy was coupled with Sierah Swepstone before she and Adrian revealed they had a connection. After leaving the show, Awhina and Billy got close, with their "romance" leaving fans stunned last month. But despite reports saying that the pair are together after they went Instagram official, The Sun can reveal this is not the case. Speaking exclusively to The Sun about her relationship with Billy, Awhina got candid and opened up about their bond. "Billy and I are really close, like, I've done so many podcasts on our relationship. We are extremely close, like, I'm seeing him on Thursday," she told us in our chat this week. She added: "We speak a lot over the phone he calls me. I've gone to the movies with his mum. "I've hung out with his sister multiple times, hung out with his brother. "He's hung out with my family a lot. We've been very close since November last year. MAFS groom slammed over 'misogynistic' post as he shares 'high standards' for future girlfriend after bitter show split "But the thing with our relationship is sometimes it can get confusing, because the world's heavily involved," she explained. She later added: "I think that you can still have a beautiful relationship without being romantic and without ruining anything." Awhina noted that their "friendship line can be a bit blurred" but affirmed that she loves him. Opening up about why their relationship likely won't progress into anything romantic, she said that their life's trajectories look quite different. Controversial Married At First Sight Australia star shares worrying hospital photo from his bed

It came after his conduct was called out by reality show fans medical woe Controversial Married At First Sight Australia star shares worrying hospital photo from his bed Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A DIVISIVE Married At First Sight groom has shared a worrying photograph from his hospital bed. The E4 star, who appeared on the Australian version of the matchmaking series, was seen lying back with a drip attached to his left arm. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 6 A MAFS Aus star has shared a worrying snap from hospital Credit: Instagram / harrison_boon_ 6 Harrison Boon proved a controversial character on the E4 series Credit: Nine 6 MAFS Australia Harrison Boon Credit: instagram Harrison Boon struck a serious expression in his selfie, which saw him clad in a white medical gown. Yet the controversial MAFS alum - who faced allegations of bullying and was at the centre of a series of spats during his time on the show - attempted to make light of his mystery condition in the caption. He wrote: "Turns out there's no cure for narcissicsm. "Sorry guys." His medical condition is currently unclear. The worrying news comes just months after Harrison announced his engagement to girlfriend Gina Ha, who he has been dating for just over a year. MAFS CHAOS It was an unhappier time for Harrison on the reality TV series. He was swiftly hailed a show villain for allegedly gaslighting his wife. Harrison first caused a stir when he upset bride Bronte on their wedding day. One of her bridesmaids told her that Harrison had been dating a girl in the lead up to the wedding, and wanted to be with her when he finished the show. MAFS Australia star reveals she's back with her ex While Bronte gave him the benefit of the doubt, she later slept with him on honeymoon, only for him to remark that there was "no chemistry" between them. Later in the series, Harrison was accused of 'bullying' for the way he spoke about the other couples during the commitment ceremonies. When Evelyn challenged him, they exchanged a war of words, prompting Melinda to jump in with: "You're just a rude guy! It's bullying. It's attacking everyone here.' Mafs couples that have stood the test of time Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby. The pair couldn't keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam's Doncaster home. Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau. Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December. Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: 'I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out - and excited for everything to come.' Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019. Owen recalled: 'I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work. "While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in. 'The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, 'Wouldn't it be funny if I signed up?' 'A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.' Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson. Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna's vegan lifestyle, the show's first same sex pairing are still going strong. They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod. Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: "We're not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship." But Harrison was having none of it, firing back: "'It's not bullying. Don't play the sex card, grow up!". Needless to say, he and Bronte didn't go the distance and split before final vows. 'Harrison, we're done, we're over and I honestly never want to see you again," Bronte shouted at him when they split during the final dinner party. After the series aired, Harrison hit out amid the fan backlash. He said: "The network hid 90 per cent of Bronte's behaviour, so imagine how bad she must have been what they didn't show, in order for her to look equally as bad as me, when I'm just reacting to it." 6 It came just months after he revealed his engagement Credit: Instagram / harrison_boon_ 6 He popped the question to Gina Ha in October Credit: Instagram / harrison_boon_
