Oman, Belarus MoUs to boost cooperation in auto, digital sectors
Muscat – Oman and Belarus signed three memoranda of understanding in Muscat on Wednesday aimed at advancing cooperation and technology transfer in the fields of automotive manufacturing and smart technologies. The first agreement, between Karwa Motors and Belarusian mechanical engineering firm Amkodor, outlines a framework for industrial and commercial collaboration. A second agreement between Karwa Motors and Belarusian vehicle manufacturer MAZ will focus on manufacturing and distributing transport and specialised vehicles, including trailers. The MoU also provides for joint marketing efforts, establishment of a production line at Karwa's Duqm plant, technical knowledge transfer, training programmes and support to build national capabilities. These agreements were signed by Ibrahim bin Ali al Balushi, CEO of Karwa Motors, Aleksey Zanduk, Deputy General Manager of Marketing at Amkodor, and Alexander Atroshchik, Deputy Commercial Director at MAZ. The third MoU was signed between Oman National Engineering and Investment Company (ONEIC) and Belarusian firm Delivery Software. It focuses on bringing advanced digital solutions to Oman and the wider region. Areas of cooperation include ICT development, AI applications, financial technologies, and automation services to improve operational efficiency and drive digital transformation. The MoU was signed by Aziz al Hasani, General Manager of IT and E-Business at ONEIC, and Andrey Sudakov, CEO of Delivery Software. The agreements were signed under the framework of the Omani-Belarusian Joint Committee, which aims to deepen strategic partnerships between companies from the two nations.

Representing Karwa at the signing was CEO Dr Ibrahim bin Ali al Balushi, with Aleksey Zanduk, Deputy General Manager of Marketing at Amkodor, and Alexander Atroshik, Deputy Commercial Director at MAZ, signing for their respective firms. The third MoU, between the Omani National Engineering and Investment Company (ONEIC) and Belarusian firm Delivery Software, targets the deployment of cutting-edge digital solutions in Oman and the wider region. Areas of collaboration include ICT innovation, AI applications, fintech, and other digital services that enhance automation and operational efficiency. The agreement was signed by Engineer Aziz Al Hasani, ONIC's General Manager of IT and E-Business, and Andrey Sudakov, CEO of Delivery Software. The ceremony was attended by Abdul Salam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority, Dr Abdullah bin Masoud al Harthy, Honorary Consul of Belarus to Oman, and several senior officials from both nations. The two MoUs were signed by Dr. Ibrahim Ali Al Balushi, CEO of Karwa Motors, along with the Deputy General Manager for Marketing at Amkodor company and the Deputy Commercial Director of MAZ. The third MoU was signed by Oman National Engineering and Investment Company (ONEIC) and the Belarusian company Delivery Software "Delivio", deals with providing the latest digital solutions and advanced software to the Omani and regional markets. Key areas of cooperation, through the third MoU, include developing innovative solutions in the fields of ICT (information and communications technology), artificial intelligence (AI) applications, financial technology, and advanced technical services that support digital transition, automation and modernisation of corporate operations. The MoU was signed by Eng. Aziz Alhasani, General Manager of Information Technology and E-Business at ONEIC, Andrei Sudakov, CEO of Delivery Software. The signing ceremony was attended by Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), Dr. Abdullah Masoud Al Harthy, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus to the Sultanate of Oman, among other officials from the two countries. The signing of the memoranda of understanding stems from the Omani-Belarusian Joint Committee's efforts to consolidate strategic partnerships between leading companies in the two countries, contribute to technology transfer and the development of national competencies and highlight the Sultanate of Oman's status as a regional hub for attracting quality investments projects.
