CM felicitates sanitary workers
Tirupati: As a token of appreciation of sanitary workers whose efforts helped Municipal Corporation Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya (MCT) bag the national award in Swachh Survekshan competition, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu felicitated the sanitary workers on Saturday. During his visit to the Police Parade Ground for Praja Vedika programme, the Chief Minister in the presence of Commissioner Mourya felicitated the sanitary workers. The Chief Minister appreciated Municipal Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya, health department officials and workers for their hard work im keeping the pilgrim city clean and tidy and wanted the corporation to do its best in making the city cleanest in the country. The two workers who were much elated for getting felicitated by none other than the State Chief Minister said it enthused the entire 1,000 and above sanitary workers in the corporation to work with renewed vigour to see the corporation achieves many more awards.

A.P. CM Naidu to visit Tirupati on July 19
The scheduled visit of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to Tirupati on Saturday will primarily focus on sanitation and allied issues. After arriving at the Tirupati airport by 11 a.m., Mr. Naidu will reach the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati's (MCT) integrated waste processing plant at Thukivakam on the city outskirts. Later, he will pray at the TTD's Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple at Kapila Theertham by noon, where he will also interact with the stakeholders of 'Swarnandhra Swachhandra'. After lunch, he will participate in the 'Praja Vedika' programme at the Police Parade Grounds in M.R. Palle and later visit the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham in Alipiri for a brief interaction with the pontiff. He will later reach Renigunta airport and depart to Vijayawada. Chief Minister's programme coordinator P. Venkatesh and Tirupati MLA Arani Srinivasulu supervised the arrangements at the various venues along with the Collector S. Venkateswar and MCT Commissioner N. Mourya, while Superintendent of Police V. Harshavardhan Raju inspected the security arrangements.

CM's Tirupati visit today to blend governance with spirituality
Tirupati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will visit Tirupati on Saturday with a packed itinerary combining governance, cleanliness initiatives, and a spiritual sojourn. Apart from participating in the 'Praja Vedika' programme and visiting the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati's (MCT) waste management plant at Thukivakam, the Chief Minister will also visit prominent spiritual sites in the temple town. As part of his spiritual engagements, Naidu will offer prayers at Kapileswara Swamy temple at Kapilatheertham. He will also visit the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham's Maha Paduka Mandapam near Alipiri, where he will have darshan of the Kanchi Acharyas who are currently observing the 'Chaturmasya Deeksha'. The Chief Minister will interact with the Acharyas during his visit. At Kapilatheertham, the Chief Minister will also interact with stakeholders under the Swachh Andhra – Swarna Andhra programme and take part in the cleanliness drive which is organised every third Saturday of the month. Naidu will arrive at Tirupati Airport at 11 am on a day-long visit. He will first proceed to Thukivakam village to visit the MCT's integrated waste processing unit, where he will inspect various facilities including the material recycling facility, construction and demolition (C&D) waste processing plant, and the bio-methanation plant. Post his visit to Kapilatheertham, the CM will head to the Police Parade Grounds, where he will participate in the 'Praja Vedika' programme, being held under the 'First Step in Good Governance' initiative. Later, after the interaction with the Kanchi Acharyas, the Chief Minister is scheduled to return to Tirupati Airport and depart for Vijayawada at 5.10 pm. Ahead of the Chief Minister's visit, District Collector Dr S Venkateswar reviewed the arrangements and directed officials to ensure foolproof security and smooth conduct of all programmes. The collector, along with CM's programme coordinator Pendurthi Venkatesh, city MLA Arani Srinivasulu, SP V Harshavardhan Raju, and municipal commissioner N Mourya, monitored the security arrangements at Thukivakam waste management plant, Alipiri, and the Police Parade Grounds. The collector stressed that there should be no lapses in security arrangements during the Chief Minister's visit. He instructed the officials assigned to duties to ensure that all arrangements are made with precision and without any negligence.

MCT bags Super Swachh League award
Tirupati: Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) bagged the prestigious Super Swachh League award for cleanliness. Tirupati Mayor Dr R Sirisha along with Municipal Administration and Urban Development Secretary Suresh Kumar and Corporation Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya received the award from President Droupadi Murmu at a function in New Delhi on Thursday. In the nation-wide Swachh Survekshan competition, Tirupati was selected for its best performance in sanitation and neighborhood cleanliness. Commissioner Mourya thanked the officials and field staff for the national level award and also the people of Tirupati for supporting corporation to get the award.

Vinayaka Sagar gets a facelift with swimming pool, jogging tracks
A swimming pool and a RO drinking water facility were inaugurated at Vinayaka Sagar located on Karakambadi Road in Tirupati on Tuesday. Vinayaka Sagar, which was once used to immerse Lord Ganesh idols during the Nimajjanam ceremony, has become a buzzing spot in the city after the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) stepped in to transform the neglected water body into a water front facility with greenery and jogging tracks. MLA Arani Srinivasulu, deputy Mayor R.C. Munikrishna, District Collector S. Venkateswar, MCT Commissioner N. Mourya and other leaders participated in the event. Mr. Srinivasulu termed the facility yet another milestone in the Coalition government's record and appealed to the public to make use of the facility. The MLA also participated in the 123rd birth anniversary of Tamil Nadu's former Chief Minister Kamaraj Nadar.
